Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

83 You Can Start Playing Too

“So you are going back soon?” Mia asked as the three of them were currently sitting at the dining table while eating.

“We will just lay around and sleep for a few hours before logging back in. If anything wrong happens, someone will message us and we will wake up soon. So there is nothing to worry about.” Zack replied as a question suddenly appeared inside Mia’s mind.

“I have heard that Hikari has magic and all that so does that mean it has mana too?”

“Yes and no. The game has mana but no limit. The skills are instead based on cooldown and only certain job classes can wield mana. That’s why it both has and does not has mana.”

“Then what about health? How does that regenerate?”

“For the health to regenerate, you will have to not use any skill for a few minutes and then the health will start regenerating. There are a whole lot of other things that I and Emma have yet not explored.” Zack replied honestly before he finished his dinner and stood up.

“Hikari sounds like a fun thing to play at night.” Mia suddenly said with a dreamy expression as her brother immediately understood why she had been asking questions about the game.

“You can start playing too. I will just ask Evangeline to get you a pair.” Zack then kissed Mia on her cheek before moving out of the room.

Emma too stood up and thank Mia for the before following Zack.

The black-haired girl stood still with a dreamy expression as her eyes started glowing. For a brief moment, the face of a handsome man flashed before her eyes before vanishing.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ Her eyes stopped glowing and turned back to normal as Mia started doing her work as though nothing had happened.

The man’s face had slipped from her memories.

“What do you mean that there are many things that both of us have not experienced?” Emma asked as both of them were currently in Zack’s room.

“When a player’s health falls below 50, their vision slowly started deteriorating. Fighting becomes harder with such vision.” He explained before crashing on the bed and feeling the soft material of the mattress.

“Back at the cave, how did we manage to deplete all of our health with just a single knife strike?”

“It’s because the damage inflicted to oneself is multiplied by ten,” Zack replied calmly before he buried his head in the pillow.

He then chose one of the special options of the bed which allowed him to listen to calming music through the pillow.

Emma realized that he was about to sleep so she walked away to her own room and crashed down on the bed.

If what Zack had said was indeed true, there was a chance that she would soon get to experience that.

While lying down on the bed, she slowly started getting drowsy and her eyes started to turn heavier. Emma passed out in this position and hours passed by.

Suddenly, both Emma and Zack jolted awake as they felt the watches on their wrists vibrating and sending small amounts of currents around their body.

Zack had personally set this kind of alarm so that no matter what happened, he would be able to wake up and immediately log in.

The duo didn’t have the time to go to the gaming pods room so they had brought the VR glasses out with them.

They immediately put the glasses on their face and logged in. The first thing that Zack did was check his health.

[ HP: 1104 / 1840 ]

Zack currently had a lot of health as compared to the past and this was because Hikari had introduced the new health system two days ago.

According to the system, the health of a person will be calculated by multiplying their vitality by twenty and multiplying their level by 100 before adding the two numbers.

Due to this new system, Zack was still alive otherwise he would have long since been killed, that too for the second time.

Currently, Zack’s avatar had taken cover behind a rock as he heard bombing going throughout the place.

“We don’t have to destroy this player idiots! Just search for the two of them and get their weapons.” A voice pierced through the bombing as Zack immediately realized that someone had broken through Lisa’s formations.

This meant that whoever attacked them had a formations master or a psychic with them.

[ Emma, are you hiding behind a rock too? ]

[ Yes, I am and my vision is getting dizzy… I think my health is below 50% ]

Zack gritted his teeth as he tried to see what was happening. If worst came to worst, he would have to call Daedalus and Icarus again since the current dungeon they were in didn’t have a sovereign.

The current place didn’t have any beast safeguarding the place so the two eagles could enter it without breaking the oath of not entering other beasts’ domains.

The black-haired boy slowly peeked out from behind the rock and saw five people standing at the entrance of the dungeon with smiles on their faces.

They were wearing pure white robes with the same design which made them look as though they belonged to a cult or a guild or a… church.

‘Looks like the church has finally started handing out priest job classes and accepting priests. Either all of these guys are priests from the beginning or they are above level 30.’

Zack opened the leader board once again to see that more and more people were climbing level 30.

‘I Eat Tomatoes’ was currently level 41 while the player in the hundredth place was at level 28. The player at the top 70 was level 30 which meant that in under a month, there would be 100 thirty level players in Hikari who would have undergone the ascension test.

However, only 50% of them would have succeeded so something big would still not happen. Zack, however, had other things to worry about.

And one of them included not being crushed by falling spikes.
