Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

111 Let The Killing Begin!

The game continued on and ten minutes later, Zack was the only one standing in the field.

Due to his flames and the two swift lightning, no one had been able to capture him. The second round had ended with Zack running in front with a breathless player chasing him.

The player ran out of time without even being able to get closer to Zack. The latter just sighed as he was teleported back to the same waiting room.

Now that he was back to his overpowered self, Zack had to admit that it was definitely addicting.

He calmly sat down as a screen appeared in front of him. The screen showed the other games that were happening.

More and more players were slowly arriving back in the waiting room.

Zack used the search button available on top of the screen and search WolfHeart there. However, no result came back.

‘Could she have been eliminated?’ Zack thought with a frown as someone tapped his shoulder.

He lifted his face up to see Johnny looking down on him with a grin. Zack suddenly felt as though something bad was about to happen.

After Johnny’s smile was giving him such vibes.

“Zack, you are coming with me.” The event moderator snapped his fingers as Zack suddenly found himself sitting on a chair in an office.

Johnny was currently sitting on a seat opposite of him and had a small smile on his face.

“Zack, what you did back then has been called out as cheating by many players,” Johnny began speaking. “But since it was a skill that you had gotten fairly and didn’t hurt anyone with, I will let it slide.”

“Thanks?” Zack didn’t know what he should say. After all, he had very well expected the players to say something like this.

“I just brought you here to tell you one thing,” Johnny suddenly stood up from his chair and bent forward towards Zack. “Don’t use that skill or I will permanently make that skill vanish.”

After that, Johnny snapped his fingers once again and Zack appeared back in the waiting area. As far as he knew, Johnny could only do things as long as the event proceeded.

His moderator powers would end as soon as the event was over and he couldn’t do any permanent things in the meantime.

“Why do you look as though you just saw Johnny nudes?” Emma’s voice entered his ears as he looked up to see the pink-haired woman staring at him.

Emma then proceeded to sit beside Zack while looking at the battles on the screen in front of her. Zack sighed once before answering her question.

“Well, I saw something similar,” Emma suddenly started whistling under her breath. “Though it had nothing to do with nudes.”

“Then did Johnny summon you to his office and forbid you from using a skill?”

“How did you know that?”

“Cause the same thing happened to me. I had been using my freezing arrow to create a path of ice on which I could travel thanks to the hunter’s adaptation skill. The other players were skidding over it and falling.”

Emma and Zack then exchanged information on how their matches went before sitting back and looking at the matches.

“Out of the five hundred thousand players, only fifty thousand remain,” Johnny announced after a few minutes. “However, the amount of players required for the last round is one thousand.’

The entire place went silent when they heard his words.

If the required amount of players was one thousand, there was no way that Johnny was going to allow fifty thousand players to participate.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ “Now I need forty-nine thousand of you gone which means that I have to either eliminate you myself or you guys do it yourself,” Johnny paused as he let his words sink in. “Player killing is officially open for now.”

For a few seconds, no one moved. A no-fighting event had suddenly turned into a player-killing one.

“How do we know that this isn’t a trap?” One of the players in the crowd asked as Johnny made a tch sound.

“Fine, it’s not a player-killing one. You will all be given a sword and whoever you touch with the sword gets eliminated. You can have multiple swords at the same time too.”

After finishing his words, Johnny waved his hand over the players. A plain silver-colored sword appeared in the player’s dominant hand.

They looked at each other before Johnny suddenly gave the command.

“Let the killing begin!”

Players suddenly started poking each other with their swords. Soon enough numerous players started vanishing and people started teaming up.

Zack and Emma stayed close to each other and if anyone would come close to them, they would flick off their swords before eliminating them.

Zack was currently triple wielding the swords while Emma was dual-wielding.

‘They have eliminated hundreds of players unlike me who hasn’t even eliminated even one. But I guess everyone has their own way of getting things done.’

A blond girl was currently standing in the corner while looking at the players vanishing in front of her.

The blond girl was none other than Lisa who had a group of players surrounding her. There were twenty men in the group of players and all of them were protecting Lisa.

‘And that’s why some men will always remain fools.’ Lisa thought while looking at Zack and Emma.

She wondered how the duo could trust each other so easily without the fear of getting backstabbed by the other.

The clash continued to go on before less than ten thousand players remained. Factions had been formed during the clash and Johnny knew that the entire thing was going to take some time to finish.

So instead, he added a special property.

“True spirit sword, second form, swords of sky!” Zack shouted the next moment as his two swords turned into a thousand.

He had been the first one to notice that the sword now had a property that allowed the players to use the abilities of their weapons on the sword.

And with that, the battle went on.
