Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO

Chapter 235 - Strange Dream

"That stuff is very dangerous. Doesn't Imel know?" Anya asked in surprise.

"I'm sure Imel knows, but she doesn't care. To my knowledge, Imel is not a professional parfumeur with special education or certification. She is a businesswoman and trader, her only concern is the profit she makes," said Aiden.

Anya understood what he said. There could be no parfumeur who did not understand basic things like this. That meant, Imel only cared about the benefits she would get by using her mother's recipe.

"My mother always taught me to make refreshing and elegant perfumes. She never taught me to make a perfume with a strong and pungent aroma because the level of dangerous substance in a perfume is directly proportional to the concentration of the aroma. The more fragrant and the longer the fragrance lasts, the higher the volume of harmful substances in the perfume is."

Anya narrowed her eyes and thought carefully. "If I remember correctly, the use of DEHP has been banned in European countries."

"Right. The use of DEHP ingredients in cosmetics is prohibited. But there are still many people who use it to increase their profit," Aiden said.

"Aiden, let's go back to the room and sleep. I've found a plan," Anya's body naturally moved on its own and sat on Aiden's lap. She put her arm around Aiden's neck and placed her forehead on her husband's. "We don't need to stop Imel from launching her product. Just let her launch the product. Then, we can report her and make her lose her reputation."

"But the perfume formula belongs to your mother..."

"There is nothing wrong with my mother's perfume formula. The perfume is made with organic solutions, essential oils and spices. My mom's formula contains very safe ingredients. It has nothing to do with my mom if Imel decides to add dangerous ingredients." Anya said firmly.

Aiden's eyes looked deeper as he heard this. He was not as optimistic as Anya. "DEHP has another name. It's called softener. Did you see your mother's recipe?"

"Softener?" Anya asked, thinking back to her mother's perfume. "I have never used a softener in my perfume, but it was in my mother's recipe. Oh, my God!"

Aiden tapped Anya's forehead gently. "We're not going to let Imel put out that perfume and won't let your mother get the blame for it"

Anya shook her head. "That recipe is from ten years ago. Even if something bad happens, no one can blame my mother."

"Do you have the original recipe? Is there a date on the recipe?" Aiden asked.

"There is a date written on the original recipe," Anya nodded.

"Let's pretend Imel doesn't know that Deny has returned the perfume recipe to you. She might keep a copy. If so, the formula she registered would not be able to get approval," Aiden said.

"I'm afraid she can get it," Anya said after thinking for a moment. However, Imel had Bima Atmajaya's support. Although she was not part of the Atmajaya Family, she was one of Bima's mistresses.

Imel had thousands of ways to get what she wanted…

Seeing his wife thinking hard, Aiden kissed Anya's cheek gently, "Imel wants to launch a product in the near future. What do you think she will do before that happens?"

"Come to your father's birthday party, to increase her popularity." Anya said with a smile.

"I have a way to stop her from attending the party. It's late now. Let's go back to the room and sleep," Aiden did not let Anya get off his lap. He carried her like a princess and walked to their room.

That night, Anya had a strange dream.

She found herself in an unfamiliar place. She stood in front of a house that felt unfamiliar to her. She then walked into the house.

At the far end of the room, there was a woman sitting on the sofa looking out the window. Anya could not see the woman's face because the woman was sitting with her back.

As she was about to approach her, she saw a spider descending from the roof.

The woman seemed silent, lost in her daydreams and still staring out the window. She had absolutely no idea that a spider had descended on her head. Anya rushed towards her and threw the spider away.

However, when she turned around, Anya found another spider that was darting towards the woman.

Anya did not have time to think and kept wagging her hands to keep the animals away.

But her efforts were in vain. The more she tried to get rid of them, the more spiders came down to the woman. The spiders didn't run away and instead came closer to them.

Seeing the worrisome situation, Anya hurried over to the woman who was still sitting silently. "Get out of here. There's a lot of poisonous spiders!"

But the woman ignored her. She muttered incoherently, not knowing what she was saying. The woman was completely unaware that danger was approaching her.

Anya had no other choice but to chase away the spider alone.

Suddenly, the woman shouted loudly. She raised her hand and grabbed her neck. Anya turned around and saw a very terrifying spider escaping from the woman's body.

"Are you alright?" Anya ran to the woman in panic.

The woman's head limped and her body laid on the ground. When she fell, a loud voice was heard.

At that time, Anya could only see the woman's face. She immediately screamed and woke up from the strange dream.

"Anya, don't be afraid. Everything is alright. That's just a nightmare," Aiden immediately pulled Anya's body into his arms. He patted her back, trying to calm her down.

"Aiden, I ... I dreamed of your mother," Anya looked very scared. She buried her face in Aiden's arms.

Aiden's face slightly changed when he heard this, "Don't be afraid. I am here."

Anya struggled to take a deep breath and exhale, trying to catch her breath and calm herself. "Aiden, how did your mother die?" her voice trembled slightly as she asked.

"Why are you suddenly asking about it?" Aiden didn't believe in mystical things. He was just worried that Anya had been thinking too much since returning from the cemetery.

"I dreamed of seeing your mother in a house. There are lots of spiders in the house. I couldn't get rid of it so one of the spiders bit your mother's neck," Anya said in a low voice. The dream felt so real that it made her terrified. "I'm really useless. I couldn't save your mother even in a dream."

"It's just a dream. Don't worry about it," Aiden kissed the tears that fell from the corner of Anya's eyes. He hugged and stroked Anya's head gently.

After crying, Anya finally calmed down. "You haven't told me how your mother died."

"My mother died from a poisonous spider. When one of the servants found her the next day, my mother was lying stiff and dead," Aiden calmly said.

When she heard this, Anya's eyes widened. She couldn't believe her ears. Why did it sound exactly like her dream? "The spider that bit her is poisonous?"

"Right. My mother's place should be very clean. But at that time, there was a downpour in the city for weeks. Many insects and animals began to appear. Snakes, mice, ants, all those animals come into the house to take shelter, including spiders. Even though my brother was suspicious, he couldn't find any evidence. In the end, the case was closed." Aiden calmly said. "Do you suspect that there is something wrong with my mother's death?"

"I don't know what happened that day. This is just a dream. But why do I dream of strange things after returning from your mother's grave? I feel there's something strange about this," Anya muttered.
