Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO

Chapter 149 - Cold War

"I've brushed my teeth. I don't want to eat anymore." Aiden said coldly.

"But Anya..."

"Mrs. Hana, I have my own reasons. Good night. Get some rest!" Aiden interrupted before Hana could finish her sentence.

Hana could only helplessly shake her head and leave Aiden's room.

Anya was still crying while scooping the food. After two spoonfuls, she didn't feel like eating anymore.

She got up and began to clear the dishes on the table. The food she had made today was left untouched. Inside, she reminded herself not to beg in front of Aiden. The more she begged, the more Aiden would look down on her.

Hana was coming down when she saw Anya clearing the table. She hurried over to her, "Anya, your hand is injured. Don't move around too much. Let me help you."

"What is he doing?" Anya asked in a low voice.

"Aiden just finished taking a shower and was drying his hair." Hana said.

Anya nodded at the answer, "Hmm… I'll go upstairs. Good evening, Mrs. Hana."

Anya went upstairs to her room. She intended to take her belongings and move to the guest room.

As she walked towards the guest room, she saw the lights in Aiden's study were still on and the door was open. She had to pass through Aiden's study to go to her new room.

Her heart was beating fast as she held all her belongings against her chest. She took a deep breath and swiftly passed Aiden's study.

Aiden could hear Anya's footsteps. As he lifted his head, he saw Anya passing by his study, carrying things in her hands.

"Anya! Come back!" Aiden shouted.

Anya stopped walking. She just remembered Aiden could hear her footsteps so the man must know she passed his study. She took a deep breath and continued walking. After putting all her belongings in the guest room, Anya returned to Aiden's study.

"What's wrong?" Anya asked blankly. Her lips trembled slightly while her body tensed up as if she was struggling to contain her feelings.

"What are you doing? Why did you go to the guest room?" Aiden asked.

"This afternoon, you said you needed some time alone and told me to move to the guest room. I do not know what to do. If you want to divorce me, I accept it. I hope you can give me time to collect money and pay all my debt to you." Anya calmly said.

Aiden was annoyed when he heard Anya move into the guest room. Was Nico's teaching this afternoon useless? Didn't Nico say that to persuade a man, she had to approach him by feeding or sleeping with him?

Then why did Anya do this?

Aiden had asked her not to meet Raka, but she didn't want to listen.

When Aiden asked Anya to move into the guest room, Anya immediately complied. She immediately packed up all her belongings and went to the guest room, letting a cold war break out between them.

"Why wait? As long as you call Raka, that man can immediately pay all your debts." Aiden said with a smile. However, the smile on his face was clearly sneering at Anya.

Her eyes ached. Unconsciously, her hands were clenched tightly. Aiden's words were like a very sharp knife, stabbing right through the heart.

"It's up to you whether you want to believe me or not. I have nothing to do with Raka. Give me three months. I will sell my crops and pay all my debt to you. Good night." Anya turned around without waiting for Aiden's reply and immediately ran towards the guest room.

Aiden looked very angry. His hands that were resting on the handle of the chair were clenched tightly as if they wanted to hit something.

He knew that Anya was not a strong woman. All this time, she was struggling alone because she had to. She pretended to be strong to face the world. However, being together with Aiden, she showed her fragile side. She relied on Aiden to survive.

Now, Anya put her mask back on. She pulled out her claws, knowing that Aiden was no longer on her side.

Anya chose to part with him and didn't care if Aiden divorced her. She even said she would pay all of her debts.

If indeed Anya wanted to stay away from him, then Aiden would fulfill that wish. He wanted to know how long Anya could last alone.

...

The next morning, after taking a bath, Anya hurried downstairs to have breakfast.

"Good morning, Anya. Today Abdi took Aiden to go to the office. Looks like you have to go to work alone." Hana said.

Anya was silent for a moment and looked at the clock on the wall. She only had an hour to go to the Rose Scent. If she had breakfast, she would really be late.

"Mrs. Hana, can you wrap breakfast for me? I'll eat it on the way." When Hana was packing food, Anya intended to order a taxi. But she remembered that she had to raise money after parting with Aiden. She didn't have much money, so she couldn't waste her money on taxis.

She immediately took her electric bicycle and brought breakfast wrapped by Hana to go to the Rose Scent.

Did Aiden think she couldn't go to work without a driver? Did Aiden think Anya couldn't do anything if she didn't rely on her husband?

Anya could do anything. She was used to living alone and it didn't matter if she had to return alone to the way she used to be.

Ten minutes later, Anya arrived near one of the bus stops. She stopped by a flower shop she knew to leave her electric bicycle, "Auntie, I left my bicycle in front of your shop! Here's breakfast for you." Anya immediately ran across the road to catch the bus that had arrived.

The flower shop keeper's aunt came out when she saw Anya's figure, "Anya becareful! Lots of vehicles on the road!"

After crossing, Anya turned around and waved her hand at the aunt shouting thanks. As the owner of a flower garden, Anya often sold her flowers to shops, especially this flower shop so that she could get to know the owner.

Forty minutes later, Anya arrived at the mall where she worked smiling. She was not late!

Sir, Madame just got out of the bus. I don't see the bike!" Mila reported to Aiden by phone. As soon as she saw Anya's figure, she immediately gave news to Aiden.

"If something happens, report it to me immediately." Aiden said before hanging up the phone.

Today, Aiden deliberately took Abdi with him and left Anya at home alone. Hana called him and said that Anya went to work on her electric bicycle.

Mila saw Anya getting off the bus. That means, Anya got on her bicycle to one of the bus stops and took the bus until she arrived at the mall.

Aiden's lips formed a smile learning his wife's struggles. He hoped that Anya could learn to become stronger.

As soon as she arrived at Rose Scent, Anya rushed to the special perfume making area to tidy up her tools. When everything was ready, she hurried up to the second floor to meet Esther.

"Yesterday, Mila already told me about your idea. I think your advice is very good. But Aiden…"

"Mrs. Esther, Aiden is a businessman. He will not care about what happens as long as the shop's income can increase." Anya cut her.

"I have additional ideas. All employees who are willing to attend training will have the opportunity to be promoted to senior employees with higher salaries. With that, there will be many people who are more interested in learning." Esther said.

"I will follow all of your arrangements." Anya said with a smile.

"The approval documents have been sent. We only have four days left and must speed up the approval process. What are your plans regarding the product launch?" Esther asked.

"Each shop will get thirty new products. Ten bottles of men's perfume and twenty bottles of women's perfume." Anya said.

"That means, we need thirty bottles of men's perfume and sixty bottles of women's perfume for the three stores. Can you finish it in four days?" Esther asked worriedly.

"I will work overtime." Anya showed her enthusiasm and determination.

"You and Aiden just got married. How dare I tell you to work overtime?" Esther said with a chuckle.

When she heard this joke, the smile on Anya's face froze, "He also didn't want to see my face." Anya muttered.

"What happened?" Esther could see the change in Anya's face.

"Mrs. Esther, if I divorce Aiden, can I still work here?" Anya asked.
