Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO

Chapter 107 - Deception

"How long are you going to think?" Irena continued to urge Anya, "Raisa has been spoiled since she was a child. She can't spend the night in the prison."

Anya felt like Irena was asking for more after she had given her a little consideration. She had said she would think about it but Irena continued to urge her to immediately drop her charges right now.

Anya looked at the woman in front of her coldly, "If you don't want Raisa to stay the night in that cold place, you better act immediately. Tell her to take back the words she uttered in public before the day turned to night. With that, the problem will be resolved and I will drop the charges. And maybe, Raisa can come back for dinner together with you."

She did say that she would consider Irena's request but that did not mean that she would simply drop her charges. However, it seemed that the Mahendra Family still looked down on her and didn't even respect her.

"You're playing me, right?" Irena's voice turned sharp. Her eyes widened with anger. If only she could, she really wanted to scratch Anya in the face right now.

However, Anya paid no heed to the anger. She no longer cared about Raisa, Raka, Irena or anyone from the Mahendra family. She was completely fed up!

Anya glanced at the clock in Esther's office, "I finished work at five in the evening. If you can't reach me after five o'clock, you can call Harris. You can definitely get the phone number easily, right?" Anya said, smiling sweetly at Irena.

"Anya! How dare you boast in front of me?" Irena bursted out in anger, "Don't be shameless. Quickly drop your charges and let go of my daughter. Otherwise, you will be the one to pay the price!"

"You can reconsider my request or you can wait patiently to see if I will withdraw my charges one day. There's no need to threaten me because I'm not afraid of you!" Anya got up from her seat. She walked to the office door and motioned for Irena to leave the place immediately.

Irena stomped her feet as she left the place, making Ben feel worried, "Tomorrow Mrs. Esther will be back at the office. It's going to be hard to explain to her about the current situation." Ben said frantically.

"I will explain it to Mrs. Esther." Anya calmly replied.

Even though she really liked this job, she could no longer keep it. Raisa had made a mess at her workplace, smearing her name, disseminating thoughts that she was a cheap woman and destroying her reputation. She couldn't stay in a place like this anymore.

Raisa deliberately told people that Anya once received money from her mother so that she would stay away from Raka. She told everyone that Anya had a relationship with Raka before she was with Aiden.

Raisa instilled a stigma that Anya was just a woman who was crazy about wealth. She convinced everyone that Anya received money from the Mahendra family, but kept in touch with Raka while Aiden was abroad.

Anya knew another reason Raisa did that. She wanted Aiden to misunderstand Anya and dump her. That woman really wanted to drag Anya through the mud and drown her. She went too far and even ignored the reputation of her own brother for that.

Anya didn't know why Raisa hated her so much like this.

At exactly five in the afternoon, Abdi was already waiting in front of the mall entrance as usual. Anya hurriedly changed her work clothes and said goodbye to Ben.

"Anya, this mall will hold an event in the next few days. Customers will pile up in our store. Can you do overtime these days? There will be lots of customers coming at night." Ben stopped her before she could leave.

"What time do I have to work overtime?" Anya asked.

"Seven to nine in the evening. Only two hours." Ben replied.

"OK!" Anya agreed immediately. After all, Aiden was out of the country and she was at home alone. There was no work that she could do so it would be better if she spent her time working overtime.

Apart from working, she would only see Tara, the Atmajaya Family's personal doctor, to learn about Aiden's treatment. She wanted to know if there was anything she could do to help heal Aiden's vision.

At half past six in the evening, Anya arrived at Tara's clinic. She had absolutely no idea that Tara's workplace was a dental clinic.

"Doctor Tara, you are a dentist?" Anya asked when she met Tara.

Tara laughed hearing Anya's question, "No need to be too polite with me, take it easy! My name is Tara Dartha and I am a dentist. My whole family is also a doctor, especially my grandfather who is a prominent doctor."

"Dartha? Are you related to the head of the Dharta Hospital?" Anya asked again.

"Yes, he is my grandfather." Tara replied with a smile.

Anya immediately realized the similarities between Tara and her grandfather, "Ah. No wonder I feel familiar with you. My grandmother knows your grandfather. He's really a great man, but a little serious."

Tara laughed hearing Anya's comments. Anya tried to say it in the smoothest way possible. However, as her granddaughter, Tara realized that her grandfather was very strict, "Not only serious. My grandfather was also very strict and fierce. Don't look down on me just because I'm a dentist. Actually I also have various other certifications." Tara said jokingly.

"How could I look down on you? You are a very great woman! But why don't you…"

"Don't work at my grandfather's hospital? I don't like working in hospitals. I prefer to open my own business and show my own abilities." Tara said.

Anya nodded when she heard Tara's story, "So, you opened this dental clinic?"

"I opened a dental clinic because now dental clinics are the most profitable business." Tara replied. Suddenly, a sound of glass breaking can be heard from outside.

"Just close this clinic. You can't even cure my toothache!" An angry male voice came from outside.

"Sit down for a moment. I'll see how it is outside." Tara turned and walked out the door.

Tara's dental clinic had two floors. The other floor used glass for the entire facade. At this time, the right and left sides of the glass were seen to be cracked. Anya didn't dare to move from her place and stood in front of the reception desk looking at the door from a distance.

"Is there really a lot of commotion in this place?" Anya asked a nurse at the reception desk.

"Every month, there are some patients who come back because they didn't take Doctor Tara's advice. Their teeth are getting worse at their own hands but they prefer to blame the doctor who treated them." Said the nurse with a sigh, so used to seeing their wayward clinic patients.

Anya observed Tara's clinic which was luxuriously decorated. Apparently, Tara profited the most from this clinic and had patients who came from prominent backgrounds. Indeed, not everything could be obtained easily.

"Did you drink last night?" Doctor Tara asked calmly.

"No! This is all because your abilities are not good and the recipe you gave is ineffective!" The man accused.

The more Anya heard the voice, the more she felt familiar with him. She then walked toward the door and saw that Nico was the one there.

"Nico? Did you really not drink last night?" Anya asked, looking at Nico.

"Auntie?! Why are you here?" Nico was very surprised when he saw Anya.

"I came to meet Tara. What are you doing? Why are you destroying other people's workplaces?" Anya said angrily.

"Why do you want to meet this woman, Auntie? She is a liar. The treatment at this place is very expensive, but it can't even cure my illness." Nico accused Tara angrily, "She uses her last name only to attract patients. This is tantamount to fraud!"
