HEX: Aspect Of The Void

Chapter 140 - Wrath

The dark room, lighted by the luminous window before me, became suffocating. After watching my slaves work hard, I decided to stop dawdling and engage my opponent as well.

"HEX # 30 [ADMINISTRATOR'S AUTHORITY]"

Upon saying this, a purple panel appeared before me, displaying several settings I wanted.

After interacting with the control center of the Dungeon, I can access it remotely from my Administrator Panel. This will come in handy soon.

"System Command: Generate Gate to The Last Floor" I stated.

Immediately, the window glowed, buzzing as it executed my command.

[System Notification]

<Command Granted>

<Select Stage>

I smiled. Looks like I was right in thinking it would work.

"Last Stage: Final Boss Room," I said.

Once again, the buzzing sound echoed through the room.

<Command Granted>

<Generating Gate Now>

Immediately, a blue distortion appeared a few meters in front of me. The space ahead broke apart, causing sparks of lightning and energy to converge. Finally, it stabilized, creating a door before me.

The edges of the door were blue, with a dark inner glow coming from within. I smiled and stepped forward, refusing to waste any more time.

"All preparations have been made..." I muttered slowly.

Venturing into the door caused by spatial distortions, my body became slowly integrated with the darkness until I disappeared entirely.

[The 100th Floor: Boss Room]

I appeared on the other side of the doorway, stepping foot on a strange, yet familiar ground. The floor was smooth and it glistened like jasper. I brought my entire body out of the dark embrace of the portal and appeared at my destination, the final stop and highest point in this Dungeon... Boss Room Of Wrath.

The room looks massive, larger than even the space Jared made with his special ability. Decorations of precious stones and minerals fill the space, sparkling with splendor and elegance.

Multiple pillars hold up the ceiling of the room, and a large flight of stairs ascends to a higher platform. I glanced at the top of the stairs and looked at the center of attraction, the guardian of the room.

On the massive throne, he was seated. Clad in glory and majesty, gazing down upon my frame which seems dwarfed compared to his.

With two horns protruding from his head, and a long flowing white hair, his head slightly titled and his red pupils stared at me with focus.

His muscular body glowed like platinum, sitting bare-chested, with only his lower garments worn. Tattoos of dragons and flames are illustrated all over his massive body.

His right hand lightly supported his head as he placed it on his chin. With an unwelcome glare that also displayed a hint of surprise, the Boss stared.

"I see you're doing well, Wrath..." I stated, moving forward slowly.

He dropped his hand from his cheek and placed it on the throne's armrest.

His sharpened nails slightly scratched the throne impatiently as he looked at me with surprise, wondering how I know his name.

"How do you know my name?" He asked, displaying his sharpened teeth and deepened voice.

I smiled.

Despite trying to act composed, he can't resist his true nature.

"Why shouldn't I? I'm your master, aren't I?" I grinned.

His eyes widened as I said this, and he clenched his fists instantly. His eyebrows furrowed into a frown, displeased by my statement.

"How dare you impersonate the 'Great One'? You lowly being dare to compare yourself to Lord Hexarion?!" He said with a tone of annoyance.

It's going to be a pain to reveal my identity to him, and even if I try my hardest, he won't accept it.

Wrath is stubborn and thick-headed. Logic hardly applies to him, and the only way to get him to give me my reverence and once again swear fealty to me is if I forcefully force him to submit and subjugate him.

"Your existence is different from the others I sense beneath this floor. You possess no Aspects as well, like me. You are also capable of using Administrative authority through Hex... Truly, I accept you are a different breed from the others..." He muttered.

"Then..." I proceeded.

"However, this much isn't enough for you to pass as my master. You are too weak! I can measure up your total essence, and it is barely half of mine. Your frame and the amount of force you emit are also inferior to mine... You can not possibly be Lord Hexarion if you're weaker than I am!"

He is correct. Wrath is currently more powerful than my current form. I had wanted to face him after some time, but there's no more time. The Apostles, Artificial gods, Heroes, and other anomalies in this new world have made me revise my original plan. I need more strength, which means I must take larger risks.

"There's no point in trying to convince you, is there? Well then... Who do you think I am, if not Hexarion?" I smirked.

I stopped moving, directly before the stairs that leads to his throne.

"I do not know... But I intend to find out. Mysterious being, you are a threat. That much I know. I will personally see to it that you are extinguished!" He declared, rising from his seat.

His entire form became more glaring after he rose. He's nearly twice as large as I am, having a much larger build.

"It won't be that easy, you know? You must be rusty, staying here for thousands of years, without anyone to fight... How did it feel, Wrath? Lonely?" I teased.

His face softened upon hearing this, and he couldn't hold the emotion he felt within himself.

"Kuahahahahaha!!!" Wrath bellowed in laughter.

"Ah, your manner of speech truly resembles the Lord. If not for your weak state, I might have mistaken you for him. But... You see indeed correct!" He said, still chuckling.

"It has been boring, severely boring, and drab. Staying here to guard my master's treasure, without anyone reaching even close to this citadel... Disappointing indeed." He said.

"It's a good thing I'm here then..." I answered.

"Exactly, now I get to exercise a little... You have my gratitude, mysterious one. I do hope you entertain me properly... Try not to die, okay?"

Don't worry, Wrath... I won't!

In a flash, he leaped from his high estate and landed directly in front of me. His height forced me to look up in order to meet his face.

"I'll be winning this fight, Wrath... And when I do, you'll become mine once again..." I whispered.

"We'll see about that!" He grinned.

Taking the moment in which he talked to strike him with my fist, my full-powered blow lunged at his stomach, driving it as hard as I could.

>BOOOOOOM!<

A massive shockwave was sent throughout the room, creating aftershocks as the grounds trembled.

However, as expected, Wrath did not even move an inch. Standing firmly on his two feet, he looked at me with a condescending smile and folded his hands.

"Was that your strongest attack?" He asked.

Of course not. I was just testing the waters. It's good to see that he's still as sturdy as ever. This will be quite useful for me in the long run.

I immediately dashed back, creating some distance between us in an instant. In close-range combat, I'm at a massive disadvantage. It's best to attack him at my own pace.

"Do not think I'll be letting you make all the move... I should lay you back for that pointless hit with my own. Here I come too!"

Immediately he said this, his venomous body vanished, moving faster than even my eyes could process.

Using my reflexes, I quickly guarded my stomach, pouring all my body's enhancements to my hands to withstand his blow.

He appeared where I predicted and hit me there, hitting me with his fist, the same as I did.

>BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!<

The force his attack generated caused me to be pushed back flying some distance from him.

The entire room trembled, with the shocks being felt for miles. The grounds cracked and the pillars shook.

I used one of the hardest materials in existence to create this room, yet with a single hit, they are already experiencing a breakdown.

My pain receptors are off, so I didn't feel that. But, even I know when my body has been damaged. This vessel's integrity has been reduced drastically... By at least 10 percent.

That one hit shaved away a tenth of my lifespan.

I forcefully planted my feet on the ground, regaining my stance, and balanced myself.

"Oh, wow... This is surprising... To think you survived that. I am impressed. Won't you tell me your identity? You already know of mine, it's only right for you to reciprocate-"

"I believe I have already told you. I am Hexarion, your master."

"That again? Don't be unreasonable. Lord Hexarion isn't this weak. After his defeat by the Primordials, I was sure he would return since he is just that kind of being. But, even in his lowest estate, there's no way I would be able to lay a finger on him!" Wrath said.

While his praises are satisfying, in this instance he is wrong. My servant is stronger than I am, how humiliating... And his loyalty and respect for me are so much that he refuses to believe he can beat me, therefore he'll never accept me as Hexarion.

"The solution is simple, then.. I just have to win!" I grinned.
