Game Lord's Cultivation System

89 Investigation Complete

“Jiang Ming, I swear to heaven. Whenever I retain control of my body, I will thrash you to a pulp.” Qi Shan screamed at the top of her lungs.

She was exuding an intense killing intent, one that she had never used before when she was summoned to this world.

And as for Jiang Ming, he knew exactly what was going on.

‘She’s really pissed this time…’ he thought.

Unlike the previous time where Qi Shan would fake her anger, Jiang Ming knew she was thoroughly pissed and wanted to strangle him.

BAM!

Suddenly, a loud boom occurred and Jiang Ming managed to get a glimpse of Skartoom.

He was sprawling out blood, lying unconsciously on the massive crater created by Qi Shan.

“Did you kill him already?” Jiang Ming asked, keeping his distance apart from Qi Shan.

Qi Shan’s eyes were red with her long golden hair covering half of her face..

And in a desolate tone, she said, “Skartoom is barely surviving. You will soon meet his fate too for controlling me.”

Afterward, she vanished from sight, leaving zero traces behind.

Jiang Ming wanted to track her down since he was afraid that she might wreak havoc everywhere.

However, he became baffled when a system prompt popped up just when he tried to locate her.

Ding!

<Qi Shan has temporarily disabled the tracking device from GLCS by using her pure demon bloodline>

<If you still wish to track her down, you can click Y to continue, but the premises is that you are willing to harm her cultivation base>

<Do you wish to track her down: Y/N>

Jiang Ming was dumbfounded to see his GLCS getting defeated like that.

How could a mere bloodline suppress the almighty GLCS?

That was the question going on in Jiang Ming’s mind, but he didn’t get a chance to think further when someone finally woke up after everything was over.

“Ungh, what happened?” Yuan Chunhua slowly opened her eyes and glanced around her surroundings.

‘Damn, it’s like you waited at the perfect time to regain your consciousness…’ Jiang Ming thought.

As much as he wanted to say that aloud, he kept it to himself because he needed to rebrand himself.

Using the time that Yuan Chunhua was still trying to comprehend the situation, Jiang Ming quickly hopped down to the massive crater and retrieved his sword.

And with one foot, he stomped on top of the dying Skartoom and acted in a pose; a pose that only cliche righteous heroes would do.

‘Perfect, now my fame is going to soar higher when they believe that I had single-handedly defeated a demon in the Spiritual Grandmaster Realm,’ he thought.

Sometime later, Yuan Chunhua stood up and walked toward the massive crater.

Her eyes nearly popped out when she saw Jiang Ming stomping on top of an abyssal demon.

“J-J-Jiang Ming, what did you do?” She stutteringly asked, nearly biting on her own tongue in the process.

“Did you defeat this abyssal demon?”

Jiang Ming, who had his back facing her the entire time, turned around and acted in surprise.

“You’re finally awake, Instructor Yuan Chunhua.” Jiang Ming said in relief.

And he continued, “The abyssal demon was extremely sneaky and kept on using its demonic pressure to wreak havoc. Thankfully, I had a talisman on me to sustain the pressure and defeated him using some petty tricks.”

“Unbelievable…” Yuan Chunhua muttered.

‘How could a mere Spiritual Elementary Realm defeat a Spiritual Grandmaster Realm? This is unprecedented.’ She exclaimed inwardly.

Although she didn’t want to believe this result, the current situation didn’t give her any plausible explanation for it.

There was no one else around them, and she had only seen Jiang Ming stomping on top of Skartoom.

Thus, she concluded that Jiang Ming had somehow managed to defeat a frightening being with some unknown tactics.

“How did you do it?” Yuan Chunhua jumped down at the massive crater and walked toward Jiang Ming.

Her eyes remained focused on the motionless Skartoom.

From afar, she could vividly see Skartoom’s wings were viciously ripped apart and multiple bones were rupturing on the surface.

If it weren’t for the breathing from Skartoom, Yuan Chunhua would have thought he had been slain already.

Just when Yuan Chunhua wanted to take a closer look, her foot accidentally tripped on some debris and began to stumble down.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming quickly noticed it and extended his arm to grab her waist, creating the perfect cliche scenario of a hero saving the beauty.

‘Hehe, can’t believe it actually worked so perfectly.’ Jiang Ming smiled wickedly.

Of course, there were no such things as coincidences in the world of cultivation.

The debris that Yuan Chunhua had tripped on was purposely inlaid by Jiang Ming.

Only when a woman felt completely helpless and received help at that time would their heart melt into place.

That was the life lesson Jiang Ming had learned when he was a complete nobody in his previous world.

“Sorry,” Yuan Chunhua apologized for her clumsiness and tried to move away from Jiang Ming’s grasp.

Jiang Ming wasn’t going to be forceful, so he swiftly released his grip and smiled brightly.

“Instructor Yuan Chunhua had just recently woken up after getting affected by the Skartoom’s demonic pressure. Therefore, you don’t need to apologize when your body condition is a little bit weak.” He said calmly.

“Anyway, now that the cause of the Purple Mist is revealed to be done by the Batron and the Batron’s goal is now spoiled. We can finally say our investigation is completed.”

“Un, we should leave the Guilong Forest to report this matter to the Master. In addition, I might need to gain an audience with the Emperor regarding the abyssal demon reappearing in the Northern Continent.” Yuan Chunhua said.

Jiang Ming nodded his head.

He turned around and proceeded to thrust his sword forward, stabbing onto Skartoom’s skull, effectively killing him.

“What rewards do you think I might receive for such a deed, Instructor Yuan Chunhua?” Jiang Ming asked cheekily.
