Game Lord's Cultivation System

56 Qi Shan’s Flashback (2)

“Ugh, to think my first death in Cultivation Omega would be an NPC.” Jiang Ming cursed inwardly as he took off the virtual helmet.

Since the player would respawn at their death location, Jiang Ming wasn’t stupid enough to pay the 100 spirit stones just to be killed by Qi Shan again.

Thus, Jiang Ming decided to boil some instant noodles to fill his hunger and wait until Qi Shan left the area.

“Hmph, just you wait, Qi Shan- I will definitely get my revenge when I cultivate stronger.” Jiang Ming vowed to destroy her as he waited 3 minutes for the instant noodles to be done cooking.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming decided to put back on his virtual helmet after opening 5 packs of instant noodles.

As soon as Jiang Ming initialized the connection with Cultivation Omega, a prompt popped up.

<Revival Payment: 100 spirit stones>

Jiang Ming paid for the revival payment and his vision soon blurred as he reappeared at the scene of his death.

“Hmph, luckily I purchased that expensive storage inventory that protects my loot when killed.” Jiang Ming thanked the heaven for his insurance play.

Although he was always confident in his skills, there would be unexpected scenarios sometimes and Jiang Ming wanted to be sure that all his hard work would not get looted..

Jiang Ming started gearing up but his expression soon paled when he heard the same female voice.

“You’re finally back.” Qi Shan laughed as she sat on top of a pillar, swinging her snow-white legs back and forth.

“What the hell?” Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow to still see Qi Shan in the scene.

“Why haven’t you left already?” He then asked with a gawking expression.

Qi Shan curled her lips upward as she hopped down from the pillar. “Well, since you mentioned something about players, I remember a person coming back to life when I killed them.”

“Hence, I supposed you would come back alive as well so I decided to wait on you.”

Jiang Ming’s face went pale as he never expected himself to commit such an amateur mistake.

He had indirectly revealed a secret to her and now she could easily camp him permanently.

“Log out.” Jiang Ming shouted loudly as he exited the game.

Since Qi Shan did not show any killing intent or intention of fighting him, the game didn’t enter him in combat mode.

Back in the real world, Jiang Ming quickly took off his virtual helmet as he went to his computer desk.

“Just who is this Qi Shan?” Jiang Ming wanted to enquire information about her and to see her weakness.

Jiang Ming typed quickly on his keyboard and the Wikipedia website started showing information about Qi Shan.

There are many topics regarding Qi Shan such as her heavenly appearance yet devilish behavior.

“Qi Shan and her notorious player killer”

“NPC Qi Shan loves to toy with her prey”

Many articles were about Qi Shan yet none of them had shown anything about her weakness.

Jiang Ming’s pupil constricted as he spent the entire night researching Qi Shan. He was reading all the articles that other players had with her.

By the time morning came, Jiang Ming had a big panda eye on his face but he was jubilant.

“Hehe, the article said that Qi Shan would never kill the same player twice as that is beneath her.” Jiang Ming laughed bitterly as he was only spared because of her principle.

Jiang Ming got up from his computer desk as he decided to log back into Cultivation Omega.

Since there were multiple claims that Qi Shan wouldn’t kill the same player twice, Jiang Ming didn’t need to fear her anymore.

“You’re back?” Qi Shan smiled evilly as she walked around Jiang Ming. “Did you know how long I had to wait?”

Jiang Ming smirked as he shrugged his shoulders. “Who knows how long you have waited? I could care less.”

Jiang Ming ignored her as he decided to mind his own business.

“You made a beautiful woman like me to wait an entire day and night for you to return yet you said ‘I could care less?'” Qi Shan showed a ferocious expression as she asked him again.

Jiang Ming had his back facing her so he didn’t know her expression as he chuckled softly.

“So what if I made you wait? I never told you to do so.” Jiang Ming started walking away.

However, his vision turned upside down and before he noticed it, a system notification prompt appeared again.

Ding!

<You have been slain!>

<Revival Payment: 200 spirit stones>

__

Jiang Ming took off his virtual helmet in silence.

After that, he walked to a nearby wall and started punching it in anger.

“Damn it, I knew I shouldn’t have trusted those damn Wikipedia and forums.” Jiang Ming cursed in anger when Qi Shan murdered him again.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming would return to the scene of his death, and every time he opened his mouth, Qi Shan would kill him again.

The amount of spirit stones that Jiang Ming needed to pay for the revival payment continued to stack up.

By the time he realized, Jiang Ming needed to pay a million spirit stones for a single revival.

“What the crap is this?” Jiang Ming screamed in agony as he lost all of his wealth in one go.

After calming down, Jiang Ming knew he must change his behavior and attitude toward Qi Shan.

One needed to know when to bow before the strong to remain alive in the cultivation world.

Thus, Jiang Ming became her slave for a very long time and got trauma whenever he saw Qi Shan’s appearance as he feared that she might just kill him for fun.

“Who am I to you, Jiang Ming?” Qi Shan asked heartily as she sat on top of Jiang Ming’s back while he crawled on all four legs.

“You are my master and I’m your subordinate.” Jiang Ming replied happily but inwardly, he wanted to escape from her permanently.
