Game Lord's Cultivation System

189 Leaving Sneakily

Once they had finished discussing their plan, the golden halo on the sky started expanding.

The light started scattering to each person in the scene as they felt a strong pulling force. It was a force that caused them to float above the sky.

The moment they reached the borderline, their bodies started dissipating while the ancient ruin had begun collapsing.

Trees, grounds, magical beasts, and anyone that is still left in the ancient ruin seemed to have fallen into a dark hole, never to be seen again.

At the same time, the people realized they were magically transported back to the real world.

“We’re out…” Some were a bit dazed by their sudden transportation as they glanced around the familiar surroundings.

“Di Shen”

“Tang Wurong”.

“Huo Ning”

As everyone continued to appear from the ancient ruin, the elders from their respective clans started calling out for their heir or talented members. The elders were glad that their members had survived in the ancient ruin.

While they enjoyed their rendezvous, Jiang Ming smirked evilly as he grabbed Yang Liqin’s hand and activated his movement technique.

Just like he had planned, none of the elders had detected the two of them leaving since they were focused on their own people.

“Jiang Ming, where should we head to now?” Yang Liqin continued to use the mental transmission to communicate with him. She could not be certain that they are within a safe zone yet.

“Don’t worry, aunt. I have long asked someone to prepare a teleportation array in the vicinity beforehand. The teleport would transfer us back to our home where we have been using the excuse of being in seclusion.” Jiang Ming kindly explained.

The teleportation array was set up by Qi Shan, so he was positive that nobody could detect it. After all, Qi Shan was still a Spiritual King despite her childish and eccentric behavior.

Of course, Yang Liqin was doubtful and confused as to when he had made such an arrangement.

However, now was not the time to question him. Leaving the area was much more important since they couldn’t let others know about their involvement.

As Jiang Ming and Yang Liqin prepared their escapes, the elders on the site were dumbfounded when they realized they had gained nothing from the expedition.

“What did you just say?” Di Tianluo shouted in anger. “How could you gain zero resources in this whole time? Don’t you know the abundant amount of resources laid across the ancient ruin? How could you come back empty-handed?”

It wasn’t just Di Tianluo shouting this time, but the other elders belonging to the 6 powerful clans said the same thing.

Though, some were even going crazy when they heard the news that some of their talented members have died in the ancient ruin.

Death is a common occurrence in such scenarios, but they couldn’t accept the fact that their most talented people had died whereas the less talented managed to survive.

After getting interrogated by their respective elders, all the people that had participated in the ancient ruin had revealed the entire story.

“Our resources were extorted by the two mysterious cultivators from the mountainside.”

“Yeah, they were extremely powerful and somehow managed to control the magical beasts in the area to attack us. We were exhausted and had no choice but to give up our resources.”

“They are extremely vicious and even killed our senior brother for a bit of profit.”

The group of people started accusing Jiang Ming and Yang Liqin of their malicious deeds, framing them completely to avoid being punished.

Meanwhile, a person could not stand it as he stepped forward and lifted his sleeve up.

“The nerve of you people to slander the innocents. It was you people that failed to protect yourself and begged them for assistance.” Ping Gong shouted in fury.

“Not only are you people not grateful about being alive, but you are also framing your benefactor. Just how can you even call yourself being righteous?” He added.

“Indeed, I can’t believe my clan was even associated with you people.” Hung Chao added, taking the side of Ping Gong.

‘Based on the display of power from that Jing cultivator, their master must definitely surpass the norms of our knowledge. It would be our best interest if our Hung Clan stayed by their side instead of these hypocrites.’ Hung Chao thought.

Alas, the two of them were relatively young and their wordings were practically ignored by the elders who are clearly blinded by greed.

“Hmph, I remember that brat was close to your Huo Clan.” Di Tianluo turned around and glared at Huo Minyong.

“I’ll give your Huo Clan 5 days to find the whereabouts of those two cultivators. Otherwise, our Di Clan would not mind destroying your clan.” He threatened.

Huo Minyong gnashed his teeth when he heard his blatant threat. “Di Tianluo, are you sure you want to do that? Aren’t you afraid of his majesty’s rage?”

Within the Northern Continent, Zhao Tong had specifically placed an order that no clan wars could emerge while he was still in reign.

“His majesty?” Di Tianluo raised an eyebrow before laughing heartily.

“Who knows if he can still be the emperor with our current plan. Zhao Tong had long gone senile when his beloved daughter had fallen ill. Not to mention, I heard that he had recently eradicated the Lei Clan for insulting his daughter.” He snorted coldly.

Huo Minyong twitched his lips as he pointed at Di Tianluo.

“D-Do you know the consequences of your words just now? Are you trying to rebel against his majesty?” He stutteringly said.

“You’re wrong, Huo Minyong. We’re not trying to rebel, but will rebel against his majesty.” Di Tianluo’s eyes turned fierce as he exuded a murderous aura.

“With the resources that we’re supposed to get in the ancient ruin, we would have enough to overthrow the Tong royal family and establish a new dynasty. Therefore, if you still want the Huo Clan to strive within the Northern Continent, then you better capture those two mysterious cultivators.”
