Game Lord's Cultivation System

112 Activate Personification

Everyone on the Northern Continent knew that the continents have long been separated by an unknown phenomenon called the Deadly Sea.

The Deadly Sea was filled with dangerous magical beasts and abnormal weather that made sailing completely impossible. Not even strong cultivators were able to levitate and float across the Deadly Sea to go to another continent.

Hence, when Yuan Chunhua realized the origin of Qian Wumei came from the Eastern Continent, shock and disbelief filled her face.

It has been so many years that people had already lost count of when they had managed to meet another person belonging from another continent.

“This Qian Wumei… She must have a method to cross the Deadly Sea.” Yuan Chunhua muttered in a grave tone.

“Are you afraid of the Eastern Continent planning on invading us?” Jiang Ming asked. Based on the clues he had found so far, he could tell what kind of things Yuan Chunhua was concerned about.

To be able to cross the Deadly Sea and enter their Northern Continent sneakily, then it could also be possible for an entire army to enter as well.

“Ugh, how did things just keep getting more and more complicated,” Yuan Chunhua suddenly sighed aloud, scratching her hair in an annoyed manner.

Jiang Ming chuckled softly when he finally saw her acting like some normal girl with a pouty attitude..

“Instructor Yuan Chunhua, you worry too much. If this Qian Wumei can really bring an entire army here, then they would have done it a long time ago.” Jiang Ming said.

What she had in mind was just from her mind and inferences, not actual fact.

“Let’s just focus on the things in front of us, and not get hindered by something that might happen in the future, Instructor Yuan Chunhua.”

Hearing his words, Yuan Chunhua found it logical as she breathed out a soft sigh. Indeed, why should she worry about something that might not even occur?

“Sometimes, I really wonder who’s the actual adult here.” Yuan Chunhua teased.

“I can be an adult in bed if you want to witness it.”

“Save your crap to yourself.”

After reprimanding Jiang Ming for his naughty words, Yuan Chunhua walked ahead, going toward the back alley where the crime scene had occurred.

The moment they left the restaurant and into the back alley, their nose was instantly hit with a rotten flesh smell, completely void of any of the fragrance Lavender smell.

“What the heck is this smell?” Yuan Chunhua quickly covered her nose with her hand, showing a disgusted expression.

As for Jiang Ming, he ignored the rotten smell. Instead, he walked forward, taking a good look at the corpse.

Some small insects of blow flies were flying above the corpse, while some of the corpse’s fleshes were gushed out, creating a grotesque scene.

“No one had touched the corpse before when it was discovered, right?” Jiang Ming turned toward a guard that was barely keeping a straight front as he asked.

The guard seemed to be on the verge of vomiting as he found it difficult to even give Jiang Ming a nod.

Seeing his terrible condition, Jiang Ming knew he would faint in another 10 minutes or so.

Hence, Jiang Ming took out a pill and threw it toward the guard. “Take this pill, and return back to the restaurant.”

The guard hesitated for a few moments as he stared at the pill that Jiang Ming had given him.

As much as he wanted to take up his offer, he was a dutiful Imperial Soldier and without the order of his direct superior, there was no way he would dare to leave the crime scene alone.

“Just listen to Jiang Ming’s advice and head back inside,” Yuan Chunhua decided to intervene and ordered him to leave. If the soldier can’t even keep his balance, then what’s the point of having him out here.

“Thank you, Commander Yuan.” The guard quickly gave his thanks as he rushed back inside, sniffing through the Lavender fragrance.

Inside and outside were like Heaven and Hell, separated by only a thin layer.

On the inside, you are smelling the fragrance and sweet Lavender that calms one’s nerves. Yet on the outside, you are smelling a rotten flesh corpse that invaded every internal organ of yours, churning your stomach, and causing you to feel nauseous every few seconds.

The crime scene was now left empty with only Jiang Ming and Yuan Chunhua on the scene.

“The rotten smell is getting stronger…” Yuan Chunhua muttered. She had tried to circulate some of her spiritual qi to block off her smelling senses and had a handkerchief covering the nose as well.

However, none of her actions seemed to have helped at all.

“How are you not affected by the smell, Jiang Ming?” She suddenly asked.

Jiang Ming was calm and collected as he had one knee on the ground while inspecting the corpse.

“Instructor Yuan Chunhua, the gasses, and compound of the corpse are vastly different from the norms. Hence, even if you use spiritual qi to cover your senses, it still wouldn’t work.” Jiang Ming explained.

“Why don’t you take this time to interrogate all the suspects in their room and leave this inspection to me?”

“A-Are you sure you can handle this alone? I can just assign someone else to take over the job.”

“It’s fine, Instructor Yuan Chunhua. I doubt the other soldiers would notice a clue even if there was one. The killer this time is far too experienced and purposely created a disgusting odor to prevent us from investigating further.”

“Alright then.” Yuan Chunhua bit her lips softly before retreating back.

Before leaving the scene she muttered with a slight blush on her cheek, “Thank you for your help.”

Alas, Jiang Ming couldn’t hear her mutter as he was focused on the system prompt.
