Chapter 270 - Jian Yunmo Returns

Chapter 270: Jian Yunmo Returns

A young man in a light-colored checkered coat got out of the taxi. He had a slender figure and a handsome and gentle face.

It was Jian Yunmo.

Jian Yuncheng and Jian Yunmo’s looks were not very similar. Jian Yuncheng’s appearance and aura were rather cold whilst Jian Yunmo gave off a warm vibe.

When the two brothers met, they looked at each other in silence. In that one moment, both of them were speechless.

Sometimes, words weren’t required to express themselves to one another.

And thus, Jian Yuncheng and Jian Yunmo headed towards the living room to sit down.

Once they sat down, Jian Yuncheng told Jian Yunmo about the recent series of events.

After Jian Yunmo heard about what had happened, he didn’t speak for a long time. However, his eyes started to turn red.

“Yunmo,” Jian Yuncheng called out after a while. He had waited for a long time for his brother to say something. However, as Jian Yunmo hadn’t said a single word, he decided to call out his name.

If Jian Yunmo had something that he wanted to say, he should just say it.

Jian Yuncheng knew that Jian Yunmo was likely to be incredibly angry. He would blame them for not taking care of his little sister. He would blame them for making her suffer.

“Please leave me alone for a while,” Jian Yunmo said. His voice sounded like he was holding back something.

Jian Yuncheng could sense that Jian Yunmo was desperately trying to hold back his anger.

If he were to continue to talk to Jian Yunmo, they would definitely argue. In fact, the two of them would probably have a big fight with one another.

And thus, Jian Yuncheng decided to leave Jian Yunmo alone for a while. After Jian Yunmo calmed down, he would return and talk about the future…

Jian Yunmo walked up the stairs and returned to his study room. His study room had been converted into a laboratory a long time ago.

At that moment, his memories were filled with the times that he spent with his younger sister. They had holed themselves up in the laboratory to do experiments when they were younger.

The little girl of the past appeared in his memories:

“Brother Yunmo! Brother Yunmo! I want to eat cotton candy… But mommy won’t give them to me! Can you buy them for me? I’ll give you a kiss if you buy me some cotton candy!”

“Brother Yunmo! Brother Yunmo! I’m losing my baby teeth… Waaaa. I’m becoming ugly!”

“Brother Yunmo! Brother Yuncheng spanked me today! I don’t like him. I’m going to have a cold war with him!”

Brother Yunmo! Brother Yunnao started to cry again today. It’s so embarrassing! However, when I gave him the gummy bears that you gave me, he stopped crying!”

Back then, Yiling was still a little kid.

Later on, she grew up a bit and started to go to school.

On the weekends, she would stay with him in the laboratory and watch his experiments. Often, her eyes would be filled with curiosity.

When she saw a strange chemical reaction, she would jump up and down out of joy and excitement.

One year, they managed to plant a tropical flower that was said to be impossible to grow in their country.

However, not only did they manage to grow the flower, but the flower also managed to bloom.

However, the flower had quickly wilted.

“Brother Yunmo, the flower that we grew wilted… I’m sad…”

“Dummy. Of course, flowers will wilt. Flowers that never wilt don’t exist.”

“Then… Then why don’t we look into growing a flower that never wilts?!”

“Okay, okay. When you grow up, you can research this with me. Is that a deal?”

“Yes!”

After a moment, Jian Yunmo’s thoughts returned to the events that Jian Yuncheng had said. Immediately, his mood sank.

He knew that Jian Yuncheng had asked him to come back because he wanted him to help them repair the relationship between the siblings.

However, if her wings were broken, he couldn’t put them back together.

Jian Yunmo stayed in his laboratory for over an hour.

When he finally sorted out his thoughts and feelings, he went next door to his brother’s study.

After he entered, he said to Jian Yuncheng, “I don’t want to lose my temper because I know it’s useless for me to do so. Even if I lose my temper, I can’t change the things Yiling has gone through. I can’t lessen the pain and suffering that she’s been through either.”

“Go ahead and scold me if you want. You don’t have to hold back.”

Jian Yuncheng knew that his second brother loved his little sister the most. And he knew that Yiling had suffered a lot recently.
