“Only one every forty thousand years…”

Li Yao chewed for a long time, but he was still not sure. “Are you complimenting me or belittling me?”

“It doesn’t matter. In short, now that we know the weakness of the Fuxi, we should try our best to find fault with it and force it to consume more computational ability so that our companions in the real world will have a chance to cooperate with us!

“If its mainframe crystal processor arrays explode one after another during the fierce battle against the coalition fleet of the Star Ocean Imperium and the Star Ocean Imperium, even the strongest Fuxi will not be able to withstand the astronomical data and information bombardment and will be

paralyzed, won’t it?”

Pondering for a moment, Li Yao confirmed what the mental devil was thinking.

Even the intangible information lifeforms were not indestructible.

It was because of the super crystal processor array on the cockpit of ‘Ultimate Rescue’ that the Fuxis boasted such unparalleled capability.

If the crystal processors were destroyed one by one, it would be locked in an antique crystal processor with a simple structure and low performance. All the components that could be connected to the Nexus would be removed, and the crystal processor would be thrown to a planet that had run out of

resources and lacked the Spiritual Nexus. The crystal processor would not be able to perform the functions of the Nexus however amazing it was. It could only self-destruct or be studied by somebody else.

It was exactly what Li Yao and the mental devil were going to do.

Having made up his mind, Li Yao calmed himself down. The helical virus that was tied up by the mental devil continued marching toward the core database of the Fuxi Clan along the tide of data.

After an unknown amount of time, in the world of data, information, and virtual reality, time did not mean much. They finally reached a place that looked like… an undersea canyon.

He extended his telepathic thoughts to the maximum and observed with his eyes. The undersea canyon was packed with crystal bubbles.

It was like the nest of countless fireflies.

It was also like billions of shining cells had been condensed together. They were squeezing, wriggling, swallowing, and merging softly. In the collisions and the exchange of data, colorful and splendid colors were beaming out.

“This place really looks like a… brain drain!”

Li Yao mumbled to himself, “It seems that this is the brain of the Fuxis.”

All the information from the outside world was transmitted to every starship of the Fuxi fleet through the high-speed Spiritual Nexus. It was processed by the mainframe crystal processor of the starship and transmitted to Ultimate Rescue, turning into torrents of information and data.

‘When the torrents gathered in this place, they tumed into swirls, which were then compressed into crystal bubbles or ‘data bubbles’ until they reached the depths of the brain.

In such a way, the Fuxi could grasp all the information of the outside world instantly and analyze the perfect solution by absorbing all the data after billions of calculations every second.

Li Yao and the mental devil were like fish that were wagging their tails. They approached the crystal bubbles carefully and released their telepathic thoughts into the bubbles to read the data inside.

They discovered that the crystal bubbles floating on the surface of the ‘brain drain’ were mostly recent data, such as the preparation of the combat ability of the starships of the Fuxi fleet and the resources that the planet behind them could provide.

‘What had been stored in the middle level of the ‘brain canal’ was the data of the past thousands of years since the establishment of the Holy Accord Alliance, including the countless confrontations between them and the people of the Star Ocean Imperium. Even at this moment, part of Fuxi’s computational

ability was still analyzing the files of his past confrontations with the Star Ocean Imperium in order to infer the combat ability and countermeasures of the Star Ocean Imperium.

The bottom level of the ‘brain gutter’ was the data of the primeval era hundreds of thousands of years ago.

Because of the passage of time, most of the data had been lost. The crystal bubbles buried deep inside the ‘brain ditches’ were lackluster and even incomplete, like broken eggshells.

Even the picture that Li Yao read from it was mottled and fuzzy, like a sand painting corrupted by tides.

In one of the crystal bubbles, Li Yao read the picture. Millions of starships were overdrafting and piercing each other like shining spears, before they exploded at the same time. The burning debris congregated into a dazzling river that ran through the entire space zone. The scale and horror of the event

far exceeded that of the civil war.

Is this the picture of the final battle between the Pangu Fleet and the Nuwa Fleet?

Li Yao was secretly shocked. “Such destructive, unbelievable strength.”

In the other crystal bubble, he saw that some intelligent creatures with human heads and snake bodies were transmitting genes through the wrinkled organs on their tails. They were operating crystal processors and performing complicated gene fusion operations, creating all kinds of bizarre new lives.

Li Yao knew that the intelligent creatures with human heads and snake bodies were the Nuwa Clan. Therefore, this was the scene where the Nuwa Clan created human beings?

He wanted to continue exploring, but he did not dare let his telepathic thoughts pierce into the bubbles for too long in case it attracted the attention of the Fuxi Clan.

Besides, the primeval data stored by the Fuxis was incomplete. A lot of important parts were missing. He could only get a general idea of what was going on.

Li Yao thought quickly and suddenly realized why Fuxi insisted on destroying the imperium.

In the vast territory of the Imperium of True Human Beings, countless remnants of crystal processors from the primeval era must’ve been buried. As long as the antiques were found, the Fuxi Clan would be able to absorb their data and repair their incomplete database, thereby reaching a certain… ‘perfect

state’.

Therefore, it would not let go of the imperium, nor would it let go of the federation. Although the federation was small, both the underground relics of the Ancient Saint World and the manufacturing factories of the Kunlun Mystic Realm stored abundant primeval data, which were the perfect supplements

for its training.

The Fuxi that covered only a corner of the sea of stars boasted such terrifying computational ability.

If it discovered and devoured all the remains of the primeval crystal processors in the sea of stars and absorbed all the data inside, there was no telling what kind of terrifying existence it would ‘evolve’ into.

It was truly the end of mankind. No one could escape its clutches.

“Wait. There are more below.”

The mental devil suddenly said.

Li Yao was greatly alarmed. His telepathic thoughts passed through the lackluster, broken crystal bubbles. At the bottom level of the ‘brain gutter’, there were indeed more colorful and splendid crystal bubbles. There were also threads of light extending down from above and inputting tremendous data and

information, like veins and nerves.

“They should be the virtual worlds and virtual civilizations created by the Fuxis.

The mental devil observed coldly and said, “Inside every crystal bubble is a virtual civilization, or the civilization of mankind right now, or the civilization billions of years later, or even the primeval civilization a million years ago… The Fuxi Clan regards such things as the significance of their existence

and their ultimate mission.

“Therefore, if there is any core or weakness of the Fuxis, it should be here!”

Li Yao agreed with the judgement of the mental devil.

But how to corrupt and destroy the ‘core’ and the ‘weaknesses’ was still a problem.

Li Yao pondered hard.

“Careful. Somebody is coming.”

The mental devil suddenly reminded him.

It was not accurate to say that he was a human being. It should be said that the Fuxi Clan had suddenly released a lot of abnormal data and was trying to enter the most important central database of the brain.

However, the abnormal data surrounded by billions of light spots did look like four human beings. Li Yao also sensed a very familiar scent from them.

“I’s the yaksha squad!”

Li Yao immediately recognized them. “They are the souls of Chu Zhixiao, Yuankou, Guan Qixing, and Yun Haixin, the four members of the yaksha squad. In other words, the Fuxi has swallowed their souls. What does it want?”

“Not just the souls of the four members of the yaksha squad. Look.”

The mental devil guided the direction of Li Yao’s telepathic thoughts and pointed at the wriggling light spots. “It seems to be the scraps of Lu Qingchen’s soul. The so-called ‘soul self-detonation’ cannot destroy all the feelings, memories, and will. A lot of the scraps must’ve been left. The Fuxi collected all

the scraps that Lu Qingchen left, the broken memories, the mental power, and the will!

“It really is…”

Li Yao had indeed sensed the last bit of Lu Qingchen’s aura. The pride, the stubbornness, and the arrogance were all the more confusing for him. “What was the purpose of the Fuxi’s collection? Was it merely for analysis and reading? It doesn’t seem to be the case! It seems to have devoted a lot of

computational ability to Lu Qingchen’s soul pieces, as if it was trying to reassemble them. That’s—that’s impossible. Does it want to revive Lu Qingchen?”

“It is not so much a ‘resurrection’ as a ‘replication’.

“As long as you have 100% control over a person’s emotions, memories, and will, you will be able to replicate the person in the virtual world. Even the people closest to you will not be able to see through the disguise,” the mental devil said. “At least, that was what Fuxi thought.

“However, Lu Qingchen’s emotions, memories, and will have been shattered. Logically speaking, he could not be more dead!

Li Yao thought for a moment and said, “Even for someone as strong as Fuxi, the computational ability required to restore a cluster of powder to its original appearance, even if it was just ‘infinitely similar to its original appearance’, is still immeasurable, right?

“Idon’t think it makes sense.

“You see, this is the most crucial moment for the Fuxis. They are in dire need of computational ability. In order to concentrate all their computational ability to control the fleet, they have even stopped hunting us down.

“But at such a critical moment, it did not forget to revive or duplicate Lu Qingchen’s soul, even if it had to invest a lot of computational ability.

“In other words, in the eyes of the Fuxis, ‘resurrecting Lu Qingchen’ is more important than ‘hunting down Li Yao. It is even more important than ‘destroying the capital city’. I don’t understand why.. Is Lu Qingchen so important and I so insignificant? Why doesn’t it use all its computational ability to hunt

me down? Why?”
