Chapter 73 - Second Meeting As Jun Hua

"That song is really good. Are you sure that she's one of the worst?" Yan looks towards Ming Hui doubtfully.

Ming Hui's lips curled up. "She had been practicing a lot. And yes, that's true."

"Have you told her about it?" Soujin suddenly asked.

"Not yet."

"You better do it soon," Soujin said. "Don't keep that secret from her."

"Later I will do it, but not now."

As the next students came up, Jun Hua excused herself. She told Fan Lanying that she wanted to go to the washroom.

"Don't take too long."

"Don't worry."

But just as Jun Hua stepped outside, she realized that she was not alone. She could not possibly call Yamin at that moment, so she turned around and saw the "guest", Soujin.

"You don't play that bad, little girl. From the rumors, you seem a lot worse," Soujin stared straight at the calm eyes on Jun Hua's little face. Normally the girl he encounters would not be able to remain calm in front of him. He wondered, is this girl different because of her background?

Jun Hua eyed Soujin and sighed internally. What evil had she done to capture his attention? All she did was doing her best in the test (despite the result being that way) and didn't do anything to make his attention turn towards her. Even during her time as Jun Min, she rarely mentioned Jun Hua. This man was annoyingly getting on her nerves

"The rumors are not always true," Jun Hua countered.

"Aren't they?" Soujin's eyes watched Jun Hua and his lips curled up. This little lass was truly similar with Jun Min. How could it be possible for them to be the same when the two of them came from different places?

"You sure have similar face with your brother. Are you really not related?" Soujin decided to ask directly.

'Here, comes the question,' Jun Hua thought. She had been hoping that he would ignore the matter and let it pass, but it seems like it was impossible. He had definitely noticed it and hoped to find out the truth. Of course, Jun Hua wouldn't let him know that they were the same person, though. There are things which she could not tell him.

"With your capability, can't you investigate it yourself?" Jun Hua challenged.

Soujin raised his eyebrows. He had done his investigation and found that Jun Hua and Jun Min were indeed two different people who used to live in two different villages.

Although the distance of the two was not far, for one to travel in between would require an hour to two. They have probably met when they were kids, but the story was vague. What he managed to find out was that each of them had never left their village except spending some time going to the forest to play.

The villagers there no longer remembered the period they appeared there. What they remembered was that Jun Min was only a poor boy while Jun Hua was a good little lady who tried to help her mother. The clues stopped there and there was no one who definitely knew when Jun Min started to appear. Since the country was often engaged in war, they just thought Jun Min was one of the orphans caused by it.

Soujin himself never asked Jun Min about his background and the boy too never told him. He didn't usually pry into other people's background, but seeing Jun Hua today, he felt like he wanted to know more. Both of them were truly interesting people.

"I have done my investigation. Don't you ever want to know about your brother's background?" Soujin decided to ask further.

Jun Hua raised her small head. Why would she want to know? She already knew it all. "I don't. He's my brother and that's all I would care about."

Seeing the confidence in Jun Hua's face, Soujin decided to stop asking. There was nothing else he could get out of the little girl in front of him. She didn't seem to be afraid of facing him even though he was a general and she was only a little girl. Probably, interacting with Jun Min had boosted her confidence.

"You should be more wary, little girl. I am a man after all," Soujin's lips curled up.

Jun Hua stared in disbelief. It was clear to her (and to everyone) that he is man, but so what? After interacting with him for a couple of months, she saw that he hardly had any interest towards a girl. She didn't know the reason, probably he just hadn't found someone who would suit him, but she would never believe it if this man suddenly showed interest towards her. She was pretty, but he was not one to be moved by it.

"But you're a gentleman, are you not?" Jun Hua challenged Soujin.

"Regardless, you should be wary. Not everyone is like me," Soujin said once again before heading back to the hall. Jun Hua remained standing in her place looking annoyed.

'Just what do you want to achieve by coming outside and bothering me? That man is truly hard to fathom.'

Jun Hua quickly forgot about him and told Yamin to get inside. Yamin was dressed as Jun Hua and she had been waiting inside the carriage. Upon hearing her Miss' order, Yamin went inside and sat beside Fan Lanying while watching the performances.

On the other hand, Jun Hua changed in her carriage and dressed up as Jun Min as quickly as possible. She had prepared everything beforehand and in a matter of minutes, she done. She used her martial arts as she went out of the carriage to head to the forest and started to walk from there.

Soujin, who had just returned, was about to drink wine but abruptly stopped.

"What is it?" Yan asked as he noticed his friend's movement. His friend was acting weird today. First, he disappeared without notice and now he stopped while in the middle of taking his glass.

"Jun Min has arrived," Soujin simply answered.

"How did you even know…?"

Before Yan could finish his words, he watched the main entrance as a young man walked inside calmly. The surrounding girls started to shriek and whisper among each other. The scene was very similar to when Soujin entered the hall.

Jun Hua noticed Soujin and the others, but before heading to their seats, he strode over to Fan Lanying and his 'sister's side.

"Good work," she smiled towards 'Jun Hua' who lowered her head and Fan Lanying greeted her. She greeted her back before joining Soujin and the others.

Her arrival had greatly disrupted the atmosphere as many people started to look at her. The boys were looking on with envy while the girls were full of admiration. However, they could not possibly look at her the whole time and finally returned their attention back to the students who were still performing on stage.

"Why are you looking at Soujin like that?" Jun Hua noticed Yan's eyes looking at Soujin weirdly.

"This guy could even sense that you have arrived from afar," Yan answered. With his own skills, he could only notice a person when that person was in close proximity with him so what Soujin did was truly unbelievable.

Jun Hua raised her eyebrows. "Isn't it normal? As long as the other party didn't intentionally conceal his presence, you can detect it."

Yan forgot. The two people in front of him were "monsters!"
