Chapter 63 - Talking With Lin Yuan

"It will soon be Lin Yuan's marriage date, has Lin Tang's anger been appeased?" Jun Hua stopped learning embroidery intensively. She returned to read her books about military tactics, war strategies and the likes. She found that her skill was already good enough and she didn't want to keep torturing her hands anymore.

Xia nodded, "More or less. His face is no longer dark and he came to terms with his son getting sent into child institution for two years. At least, there will be chance to make a better future later on."

"I wonder what her partner's reaction about that news."

"They continue with the marriage agreement."

"At least, she will get her happy ending," Jun Hua stretched her body lazily. "Let's make a visit there before the wedding."

"Yes Miss."

After notifying the Lin family, Jun Hua arrived at the Lin family residence. She met with Concubine Sie who's still in the charge of the household.

"It's good to see you again, Miss Hua." Concubine Sie would never forget how Jun Hua helped them in the past. Although Lin Yuan didn't tell her the specifics, she knew that it was not an easy feat.

"Concubine Sie, are you alright?"

Compared from close to two months ago, Concubine Sie appeared thinner and she did not look energetic as before. She was happy about her daughter's marriage, but there was some unspeakable sadness in her eyes. Jun Hua looked at the woman once again, but she could not figure out what was wrong.

"I'm just tired. With how Prime Minister Lin behaves recently, I've gotten tired from it."

Tired? Jun Hua felt that there's something more than what was said. Since Concubine Sie didn't want to talk about it, she no longer probed further.

"How's Concubine Mia?"

"She's doing fine. Prime Minister Lin seems happy with her," answered Concubine Sie. She no longer has any hope on getting into Lin Tang's side anymore. All she wanted was to retire early and enjoy her life. But with Chun Maora still getting on her nerves, she could not do whatever she wants.

"How's Lin San?"

"Still as usual, she's going to the academy and learning there obediently," Concubine Sie answered.

While they were talking, they have arrived at Lin Yuan's quarter. The servants told Lin Yuan about Jun Hua's arrival. The girl hurriedly went outside and smiled at the other party.

"You look even better than before. How's your life on Jun family residence?"

Jun Hua smiled. After bidding farewell to Concubine Sie, the two of them went inside and chatted happily. Lin Yuan was happy for getting married, but she was a bit worried about her mother's life inside this place. Chun Maora would still create endless trouble for her and Lin Yuan was worried about her mother.

Although the two of them were not close, they could still talk about many things. Jun Hua did not feel awkward because she was used to hearing Fan Lanying talking about a lot of things. Lin Yuan was telling everything to Jun Hua. She was not afraid that the girl will use the information because she was confident that Jun Hua won't do it.

After a long time talking, she finally stopped and looked at Jun Hua.

"What about you? Have you thought about your marriage partner?"

Jun Hua wanted to, but it was a bit complicated. With her status as concubine-born, it would be difficult to get a man with higher status. But with her abilities, her grandfather and uncle would never let her marry to an ordinary man. Besides, with her reputation of being a useless girl with only pretty face, those who approach her grandfather were only people who are looking for beauties.

She still remembered the scene where her grandfather kicked out those men from the Jun family residence. He wouldn't even look at them at all, so they could only leave disappointed. Jun Hua herself also didn't want to be with those kinds of men. It's better to be married to an ordinary man rather than them.

As for selecting by herself… Jun Hua didn't think much about it. She could not really imagine it because her mind was busy thinking about more important things. Besides, for now she has two identities: Jun Hua and Jun Min. It would be hard to change her identity from time to time if she had gotten married.

"My grandfather is still selecting."

Lin Yuan stared at Jun Hua and smiled. "With your face, there will surely be a lot of people coming. But I'm sure that the best one will be the one who can see yourself for who you are."

"Thank you." Jun Hua appreciated Lin Yuan's sincerity.

Lin Yuan looked outside. "It's already noon. You better get going."

"Are you throwing me out?" Jun appeared hurt, while her eyes were full of laughter.

"No, I'm not!" Lin Yuan laughed. "It's just that I cannot keep you here any longer. After this, our paths probably won't cross anymore and I hope that you can find your happiness too."

"Thank you." Jun Hua smiled and thanked her sister once more.

"And, you're not entirely useless. You're really smart, those people will one day see it too and you will definitely shine brilliantly," Lin Yuan said.

Jun Hua nodded good-naturedly. Jun Hua didn't really believe what Lin Yuan said at this time. However, when that day would come, she would recall this conversation. The first time someone told her that she will achieve big aside from her family was a little girl who she had once helped.

Jun Hua bid her farewell then walked out of the room. She decided to meet with Concubine Sie first before going home.

"You're leaving, Miss Hua?" Concubine Sie smiled softly.

Jun Hua nodded. "It's already late. I will be going now."

"Take care of yourself, then."

"Yes, thank you."

Jun Hua was still thinking about the inexplicable emotions she saw in the eyes of Concubine Sie. Those eyes spoke of full determination. Whatever Concubine Sie was planning, it must be something that she could not tell other people. Just from that one look alone, Jun Hua knew that it was a difficult decision she had to make.

"Yamin, call Yasha back and tell him to protect Concubine Sie."

"Yes Miss."

Xia stared at her young miss questioningly. "Why are you helping them?"

Jun Hua shrugged. "I helped them once and it's better to help until the end. Besides, I don't want her to lose her mother at young age."

Xia knew that Jun Hua had lost her mother when she was young. So she didn't say anything. Her Miss is smart; she must know what the consequences of her action are.
