First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 542 The Adventures of Baby Abaddon!

For the past 48 hours or so, the realm of heaven had been thrown into complete and total disarray.

In the middle of a perfectly normal day, the entire realm had started to undergo a massive earthquake and all of the colors in the sky began to darken.

The famous white city that was renowned for it’s beauty and architecture was now sitting underneath a world that was different from the misty white one they were used to.

Two colors were clashing in all of their splendor, with one being a heavenly gold that defied description, and a sparkling black that surpassed even the night sky in beauty.

In front of a set of large golden gates, a small army of white winged angels were standing together, anxiously awaiting to hear the results of yet another test.

“He’s coming back!”

All of the angels waited with bated breath as they saw one of their own flying towards them with a disappointed look on his face.

“It’s no good…. This new dimension seems to go on for forever, and even attacking the space randomly doesn’t seem to do anything.”

This news seemed to cause the angels to deflate like little lead balloons.

“So that’s it… we’re trapped here then.”

“How could this have happened..?”

“Has our father forsaken us…? Truly..?”

“He must be displeased with our treatment of the humans…”

Overlooking this panicked scene were six individuals who seemed to quite literally be head and shoulders above the rest.

They were angels, sure, but they were taller, more beautiful, and possessed multiple pairs of wings instead of only one.

While they were missing their brother Azrael, the seven archangels were still a group worthy of immense respect.

“…We need to calm them down.” Uriel, a tanned skin woman with short silver hair and golden eyes stared down at the sea of panicked angels.

“By telling them what? We know just as much as they do.” Gabriel, a black haired angel with a tall frame and an androgynous appearance was not in favor of this plan.

“That is irrelevant. We have a duty to shepard our siblings in times of uncertainty.” Raphael, a brown haired man with a relatively shorter frame, was often their most compassionate voice.

“But what do we tell them? How are we supposed to assuage their fears?” Jophiel, a large man with a bald head and dark bronze skin was more peaceful than his appearance would have suggested.

“We should leave that to our fearless leader, shouldn’t we?” Zadkiel, the ever merciful archangel turned to the only one among them who had yet to speak.

Michael said nothing as he stared down at the sea of his panicked brothers and sisters.

Truthfully, he was as concerned about this situation as the rest of them, as nothing like this had ever happened before.

He had wondered to himself time and time again if this were some sort of test from their father, but that didn’t quite explain this weird feeling he had been getting.

Heaven itself almost felt… different.

Almost alive in a sense.

And he, more than anyone else, was absolutely clueless as to what that could have meant.

But still, he felt like it was his responsibility to give his siblings the illusion of safety at the very least.

He stepped forward to speak to his frantic siblings, and finally parted his lips to ease their worries.

“Oh? Where did you come from, little one?”

Michael and five of his siblings suddenly paused as they glanced behind them.

There, they found their sister Uriel kneeling on the roof in front of a strange baby.

It was sitting cutely on it’s behind and staring up at the silver haired angel with big eyes.

Wearing only a miniature football jersey and a diaper, he would have looked like a normal baby were it not for the two-toned hair, black skin, and third eye in the middle of his forehead.

And of course the horns and tattoos…

“G-Get away from that child!” Michael demanded.

Uriel stopped just shy of picking up the infant and backed away calmly.

“What is wrong? It may be a demon, but I sense no malevolent nature within.”

“Open your full senses.” Michael said nervously.

Uriel wasn’t exactly sure what the full reason for the suspicion was, but she obeyed her brother nonetheless.

And what she saw very nearly made her queasy.

“My god… What manner of creature is this…?”

Like the sky above, two distinctive auras were melded in perfect harmony within the child.

An indescribable darkness that was deep and bottomless; working in conjunction with a welcoming radiance that was nothing short of heavenly.

These two things were like oil and water, or coke and mentos, but somehow they were living, and thriving, within this one child.

No, ‘child’ was no longer the proper terminology to use.

This had to be one of the beginning, but as for which of them this was, they weren’t exactly sure.

None of the primordials fit this description, and there weren’t any reports of one of them being killed either.

“Seal it off!”

The eyes of the archangels began to glow as they held out their palms.

A field of golden swords suddenly surrounded the baby, and a barrier was erected to keep him in place.

“Those horns and eyes.. this is a dragon we’re dealing with..!” Zadkiel realized.

Jophiel’s face darkened. “Don’t tell me that this is- W-What in the world!?”

Somehow, there were now two copies of the strange horned baby on the roof.

While one was still licking the barrier and pressing his face against it, the other was outside of it, holding onto Uriel’s leg and trying to climb her.

“Si… Si..”

“Si?” Uriel questioned.

“Sista!” the child sprouted a pair of black wings from it’s back just like Uriel’s and flew up until it landed on her shoulder.

“S-Sister?”

The baby hugged onto Uriel tightly and didn’t seem to show any signs of letting go.

Uriel held onto the child as she looked at her eldest brother with big eyes.

“C-Can we keep him please!?”

Michael: “No we can’t keep him! That child may very well be the destroyer!”

“But look at these chubby cheeks! And these little thunder thighs!”

Zadkiel: “Uriel!”

“Don’t be so cruel, we never get living babies here!”

Abaddon: “Sista!”

“And he calls me sister! How can you hate this?!”

Before Michael could say anything, yet another copy of the child showed up; sitting on his butt directly in front of him.

The baby stared at him hard with all three eyes, and it almost seemed to be glaring at him for some reason.

“…I think you have me mistaken for my-“

Abaddon proceeded to blow a raspberry and stick out his tongue in defiance.

“Y-Y-You brat!” Michael yelled with a red face.

“Don’t be mean to him, it’s not his fault you share a face with someone unlikeable.” Uriel defended.

“Whose side are you on here?!”

“Uhhhhh….”

While the rest of his siblings started snickering, Michael was still in a heated staring contest with the small baby.

In the midst of this, he had a truly profound realization.

The reason why he felt like heaven was alive, as well as the reason why Abaddon was able to freely move around and duplicate himself here, was because the two were one and the same.

“H-How… can this be..?” The archangel fell to his knees in disbelief as Abaddon continued to glare at him.

*Hey tyke, are you coming back soon? You’re about to miss the first play.*

Suddenly, all three babies stopped whatever they were doing and stared directly into the sky above.

Much to the dismay of Uriel, the trio vanished like mirages without any of the six being able to follow his movements.

Gabriel kneeled beside his brother and touched his shoulder worriedly.

“Michael? Are you unwell?”

The archangel of flame pushed his golden hair out of his face and looked at his brother in pure exhaustion.

“Please, forgive me for my crass words, brother, but… I need a fucking drink.”

Abaddon reappeared on his father’s lap and caught the end of their adult conversation.

Hajun: “…So you see? It doesn’t matter who does more. Making your wives feel undervalued is practically a surefire way to drive a wedge between you.”

Asmodeus: “And make them go fuck someone else…”

Hajun: “Well I wasn’t going to add that since he was already feeling low, but yes, that too.”

Darius sighed as he wiped his sweaty brow. “Alright, alright, I get it… So how do I make it up to them?”

Asmodeus: “Eat their asses.”

Hajun: “Give them body oil massages.”

Briefly, Asmodeus and Hajun stared at each other over their wildly different answers.

“”…Both is good honestly.”” They shrugged in unison.

Darius pulled out a notepad and pen and started writing their suggestions down.

Finally, Asmodeus turned his focus back to Abaddon and hoisted him back up onto his shoulders. “There you are, little man. Where’d you run off to?”

“Sista!”

“Oh? I wish you would have told me, I would have told you to say hi for me.” Asmodeus shrugged.

The former demon lord knew how fond Abaddon was of his siblings, so he didn’t really think much of it after hearing where he’d gone.

If he had, he would have remembered that the angelic Malenia was working today, and the energetic Kanami was leading group exercises with the rest of the Euphrates.

‘It’s nice that my children have such a good relationship… Perhaps I should endeavor to spend more time with my brother too.’ he thought as the game began.
