Chapter 925: Let's Kill Them

Chapter 925: Let’s Kill Them

Inside Class Six of Nirvana School.

Lyon leaned back and put his legs on top of the table, “I still can’t believe that this class only consists of three students, and to top it off, you all guys.”

Reinhard and Noah had black lines over their heads.

Lyon sighed and looked at the three of them. “You guys are like the protagonist troupe.”

“Huh?”

Lyon shrugged, “One is looking at the window like it’s his whole life, another is full of vigor and determined, and the last one is the middle of the two.”

( What is this guy saying?! ) thought Reinhard as he gulped before he found Rayus lazily turning his head and raising his hand.

“What?” Lyon asked.

“Teacher, are you really from the Mortal World?” asked Rayus.

“Oi, Rayus!” Reinhard shouted.

“I am,” said Lyon as he smiled and proudly so. “What of it?”

“It’s just that, it’s still unbelievable for someone like you to come from that place, and also, you look really young compared to the rest of the teachers we have here,” said Rayus.

“Hahaha! That’s because I am!” Lyon laughed. “Alright Rayus, do you have any more questions? How about you? The one that looks like he never got his heartbroken.”

“Pfft!” Noah laughed.

“What? Oh, you mean me?!” Reinhard pointed at himself.

“Who else? What’s your name again?” asked Lyon, “Rainhard right? Named after the very weather.”

“IT’S REIN! REINHARD!”

“Yeah, sure, how about you?”

“My name is Noah, Teacher Lyon,” said Noah as he stood up and bow.

“Oh drop the formality,” said Lyon as he gestured with his backhand waving, “This is the first thing that you should do, drop the formality around me.”

“But, you’re the teacher?” asked Rayus.

“So? I have another student that called me ‘master’ back at home and he is older than all of your ages combined,” Lyon sighed. ( And apparently, I have another three somewhere out there ). “I’m tired of hearing it sometimes.”

“Woah…” Reinhard raised his brows in astonishment.

Rayus raised his hand, “Teacher, are you serious about what you said back in the welcoming ceremony?”

Reinhard spare a glance at Rayus before darted it toward the new teacher at the front.

“You’re not saying that to hype up your name, are you?” continued Rayus as he hard silence.

“Yes, I do mean what I said,” said Lyon. “I need you all to win the graduation event.”

“What’s the catch,” asked Rayus, “Surely you must have wanted something in return, after all, you are going to do the impossible.”

“The guy that always looks so distant is usually the brightest,” Lyon said before he stood up. “That’s right, there is a catch.”

“Teacher,” Noah stood up, “Please tell me that you’re not making a deal with the other teachers are you?”

“Huh?” Lyon raised his brows.

“You’re not trying to humiliate us, are you?” asked Noah.

“Humiliate you?”

“Don’t feign ignorance, please,” said Rayus. “Everyone here knows how corrupted their behaviors are toward the common people like us.”

“What?” Lyon frowned before he crossed his arms, “Looks like there is a story I have yet to hear in this school, though, I kinda expected it.”

“Are you pretending, teacher?” Rayus asked.

“Why would I?” Lyon answered with a smile.

“Teacher, there is something that you need to know about our class,” said Reinhard.

“Reinhard?” Noah looked at him with furrowed brows.

“He has to know, he needs to know.”

“Go on,” said Lyon.

Reinhard took a deep breath, “Our class is the worst as you might already know, however, it wasn’t like that at first.”

Lyon put himself comfortably against the side of the table as he nodded up, “Interesting, so you are telling me that you were once not the worst?”

“Yes,” Reinhard nodded, “In fact, one of us almost one-upped them.”

“One-upped? Meaning?”

“There are various events leading up to graduation and we were not the best by any means, however, one of us did have significant prowess in combat capability,” said Reinhard.

“Let me guess, it’s Rayus,” said Lyon.

The three of them were shocked by his guess and it only made him smirk in response.

“Y-You’re right,” said Reinhard.

“Alright,” Lyon nodded before pointing at Rayus, “Don’t go anywhere and listen.”

“I-I’m not planning to…” ( I was about to, he can read minds? ).

“Continue,” said Lyon.

“Y-Yes, well, apparently his achievements are not well welcomed in the society of the elites. They all are condemned him, despite his capability in fighting. We might not be the worst, but everyone was wary of us,” said Reinhard as he clenched his fist.

“They are afraid of you three because the fact of losing to you is more humiliating than anything,” said Lyon. “That’s my take.”

“Yes!” Reinhard answered with sharp eyes. “However! What they did, what they did was…”

“Calm down,” said Lyon. “It’s not like it’s happening now.”

“Rayus is now impaired,” said Noah.

“Hm?” Lyon darted over at Rayus, “You’re impaired?”

“…” Rayus looked down with a hint of resentment flowing over his glance.

“I see,” Lyon nodded. “What impairment?”

“The physician of the school said that the meridians in his hands almost shattered,” said Noah.

“Hmm, is that so,” said Lyon. “Can they heal him?”

“To be honest, I have no idea,” Noah answered with his head shaking, “However, they say they can’t.”

“Of course, they would say that,” Lyon chuckled. “What happened exactly?”

“We were on an event where we must reach the deepest cave,” said Noah, “Whichever class got there first would win and be rewarded with a jug of Mana Essence, a Scroll Skill, and a huge amount of points.”

“A jug?” Lyon raised his brows, “Damn…”

“However, it was then when it happened,” said Reinhard. “We were the first to arrive at an altar deep in the cave— through a hidden route that our then teacher told us, however, it was nothing but a fraud. An ambush was waiting for us except for victory.”

“Ambush? By what?”

“By whom,” said Noah.

Lyon frowned, “You were attacked by another cultivator?”

“A group of cultivators, it was a group of bandits,” said Reinhard.

“What the fuck?” Lyon frowned. “How the hell can a bandit be there?”

“It was not their hideout,” said Rayus. “When we were there, there was not a single item that proved they were sleeping there.”

“It was a setup,” said Reinhard, “Setup by none other than our own teacher.”

“How did you know that your teacher set you up?” Lyon asked. “Surely just because he found a hidden path, you can’t assume that he is the one setting you up?”

“No,” Noah shook his head, “He was the leader of the bandit, so said the bandits there as they laughed at our trembling hands and shaking legs. To be honest, the devastation from their revelation was more than the physical pain that we endured.”

“Was the teacher there?” asked Lyon.

“No, of course not, he wants his hands clean, however, he was dismissed through his lack of awareness and putting us in danger instead,” said Noah as he clenched his fists seeming wanting nothing more than slamming his hands against the desk.

“I see,” Lyon nodded. “That’s some wild story there.”

“You don’t believe us?” asked Rayus.

“Well, considering how they treat you back in my welcoming party, I believe what you said,” said Lyon. “Though, I have to ask, have you met your teacher after the event?”

“He vanished,” said Noah.

“Or he was hidden on purpose,” said Rayus, “After all, it would stain the school’s reputation as the ‘elite’ school.”

“I see,” Lyon smirked. “Any idea why the teacher did that?”

“One of the bandits said that he received a good sum from the other teachers,” said Noah. “Now you know, why we are what we are.”

“I see, understandable,” said Lyon as he leaned off the table. “So you three have deep resentments, I can clearly see it in your eyes. We don’t know the names that bribed your previous teacher, however, we know that he is a bandit leader.”

All three students looked at Lyon as he courted his attention toward the window with his hands crossed. He looked over at the courtyard. “And we can pull one interesting fact, there are one or more teachers here in this school that already know that he is a bandit leader prior to applying to be a teacher here.”

“Teacher… what are you… getting at?” asked Reinhard.

“I can’t have my students not trusting me, that would be a disaster continuing forward,” said Lyon before he turned and put his hands on his waist, “What do you say we kill some bandits?”

All three of them opened their eyes wide with their lips gaped.

Suddenly the door was opened before a beauty entered with audible steps.

“Darling, you forgot your lunch,” said Selena with a smile.

“S-Selena…” ( T-That thing has a purple aura surrounding it!! ) Lyon’s face immediately drained out of moisture the moment his nose caught the smell of the food she brought.
