Earth's Alpha Prime

Chapter 44 - Obtaining A Legend Grade Skill!

[Congratulations! You have received a Concealment type Skill, <Mask of Nihility> (Legend Grade).]

[<Mask of Nihility> (Passive): No Life Form of Tier-5 and below could remember any details of the User's existence without the Skill user's permission.]

[Do you wish to merge with <Mask of Nihility>?]

Just when the notification appeared about the Universe Level Achievement, I tested out a theory that I had in mind as I kept on thinking about needing a Concealment related Reward.

I did that to find if the Reward for a Universe Level Achievement could be obtained according to the Achievement Attainer's wishes, and it turned out to be true.

Then I understood the real value of a Universe Level Achievement as the other four Achievement Levels couldn't give out rewards that match the Achievement Attainer's requirements since they were entirely random.

Without further delay, I merged with the <Mask of Nihility> as a translucent layer formed around me and entered my body.

There wasn't any change in my physical appearance or any mask on my face like the Skill's name indicated.

The information about the Skill <Mask of Nihility> usage was transmitted to my mind.

Contrary to a typical concealment skill that hides a person's presence, the <Mask of Nihility> was different. In front of any being that was Tier-5 and below, I would not be invisible but be unrecognisable.

Even if I talk to anyone, they can't remember what I said to them. Those of Tier-5 and below couldn't remember my appearance even when they looked at me.

That applies to my <STATUS> as well. As long as any lifeform that was not higher than Tier-5 uses a skill similar to <Inspect> on me, they couldn't remember any information of my <STATUS> even if they were able to look at it.

Then they will be like kindergarten kids trying to remember a 3000 words essay, which was written in a language those kids didn't even learn yet.

With that, I didn't have to mind about others learning my high amount of skills and Innate Talents.

If the skill <Mask of Nihility> showed its full effect, my existence would be forgotten in everyone's view.

That would mean, even my siblings and parents couldn't recognise me, even if I were to stand in front of them.

But that wasn't a problem since I learned from the transmitted knowledge of the skill that I could change the settings on the effect of <Mask of Nihility>.

With the help of that, I could allow my family members and close ones to remember everything they know about me and they wouldn't find anything different from usual.

So, in the next few seconds, I mentally set these few people not to be affected by the <Mask of Nihility>.

Along with that, I also toned down the overall effect of the concealment type skill.

I adjusted it in a way that when anyone other than the people, whom I gave permission, looks at me, they will be under an illusion that they could see me without a problem.

But, in reality, when they try to recall my appearance, voice, or any information about me, they couldn't remember anything.

With my first Legend Grade Skill, <Mask of Nihility>, I needn't have to be cautious about others finding my ability.

Just then, the 20-minute duration of <INVERSE> mode ended, and my body shrunk from a seven-foot-tall heavily packed muscular body to that of a six-foot-tall, considerably lean, ripped body.

Just like the last time, I was hit by a wave of dehydration and exhaustion. I laid on the ground within the steam that oozed out from my body.

I took out water supplies from the <Limiter Ring> storage space, and before I could even drink them, the water floated out of the container, as I unconsciously used the Grade-3<Water Innate Talent> and when it was got closer to me, the water was absorbed through my skin pores due to the effect of <Aqua Skin>.

That process was way faster than drinking water, and my thirst satiated.

Since I was Lv.20, the five main Attributes in my <STATUS> will be halved for 20 minutes, and the <INVERSE> mode was under cooldown for 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes).

Since I was hidden in the maze and with the 'Hobgoblin MJ' protecting me, I wasn't bothered by the temporary weakened state and looked around myself.

The way I perceive my surroundings changed as I could feel a mental connection with the air around me. I could even see the air as it had a tinge of emerald green colour in it.

I could also sense the Azure blue moisture in the surroundings, and the dark brown glow radiated from the ground.

That was not the end as I could sense the heat signatures around me in the form of a bright red hue.

Like that, I was able to sense the four elements Fire, Water, Wind and Earth. Then, I received notifications about Elemental Masteries.

[Congratulations! You have gained Lv.1<Minor Fire Mastery> (Stage-1)]

[Lv.1<Minor Fire Mastery>: Lv.1 Fire-element manipulation methods will be transmitted into your mind.]

[Congratulations! You have gained Lv.1<Minor Water Mastery> (Stage-1)]

[Lv.1<Minor Water Mastery>: Lv.1 Water-element manipulation methods will be transmitted into your mind.]

[Congratulations! You have gained Lv.1<Minor Wind Mastery> (Stage-1)]

[Lv.1<Minor Wind Mastery>: Lv.1 Wind-element manipulation methods will be transmitted into your mind.]

[Congratulations! You have gained Lv.1<Minor Earth Mastery> (Stage-1)]

[Lv.1<Minor Earth Mastery>: Lv.1 Earth-element manipulation methods will be transmitted into your mind.]

It was similar to when I first obtained <Minor Sword Mastery>, but instead of sword training methods, I gained the basic knowledge on how to manipulate those four elements.

But still, that basic knowledge was purely theoretical, and I had to comprehend it to reach higher levels of mastery.

According to the knowledge I gained, the first step to manipulate any element was to conjure it properly.

Among the four elements, the Fire and Water were hard to conjure, unlike the Wind and Earth since there was air all around me and the earth soil was just beneath my feet.

So, there wasn't any need to conjure Wind and Earth elements as I could just manipulate the already available wind and earth.

But in the case of Fire and Water, I had to conjure them from the heat and moisture respectively from the surroundings.

But if I were beside some water source like the Crystal lake, that would change as I could just manipulate the lake water like the Lizardnoids, that fought against the Goblins.

First, I tried to manipulate the wind, and the air marvellously swirled around me in the direction I willed it.

I soon found out that the most I could do were, forming small gusts of wind that weren't even powerful to harm an Lv.1 monster.

It was the same in the case of the Earth element as all I was able to move was the uppermost sand. The best I could do with that sand was to throw it at a monster's eyes shamelessly.

I sighed with disappointment, but that changed after I trained in <Minor Wind Mastery> and <Minor Earth Mastery> for a few minutes.

[Congratulations! You have unlocked Lv.1<Wind Resistance>]

[Lv.1<Wind Resistance>: Resistance towards Wind-element increases by 1%.]

[Congratulations! You have unlocked Lv.1<Earth Resistance>]

[Lv.1<Earth Resistance>: Resistance towards Earth-element increases by 1%.]

Like the <Sword Aura> that unlocked from training in <Minor Sword Mastery>, the elemental resistances were unlocked from comprehending a certain level of their respective element manipulation methods.

Even though it was just a 1% increase in Wind and Earth Resistances, I was excited to think about the increment in the Elemental Resistances when I reach higher Elemental Mastery levels.

In that excitement, I conjured Fire and Water from the surroundings. I continued to train in Fire and Water elemental manipulation methods.

Another few minutes passed, and I unlocked Lv.1<Fire Resistance> and Lv.1<Water Resistance> as well.

I didn't stop until I raised those four Elemental Masteries to Lv.2 and 20 minutes passed since I exited <INVERSE> mode.

With that, I recovered from the weakened state, and the Attribute Stats in my <STATUS> returned to normal.
