Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2926 Internal Disagreement

Chapter 2926 Internal Disagreement

"Fenren! You dare to raise your hand against your ancestor!?"

A Grand Elder suddenly raised his hand and admonished the Starlight Jade Wolf King as he pointed at him.

Patriarch Fenren Jadelight turned to look towards that Grand Elder, his eyes flickering. Their facial features were almost the same. The only start difference was their auras.

"Grandfather, I will not heed words from an Ancestor who failed to show up when the Fire Phoenix Clan invaded, and we needed to protect our important zones as much as possible."

"Fenren, the inner region hadn't even been invaded, much less the core region, so how could they show up?"

That Grand Elder gave an excuse, but Patriarch Fenren Jadelight shook his head.

"Is this a normal war? I don't think so. The Fire Phoenix Clan used an excuse to invade us. Isn't that why Third Ancestor Riyard came out of seclusion and suggested such a thing in front of me, wanting to get rid of that excuse by handing over my brother? Was my words fart to them?"

The Starlight Jade Wolf King had his eyes wide as he spoke, appearing moments away from roaring out loud.

"Aya~ Fenren-"

"Enough. Even if you're my grandfather, I will not excuse insubordination."

Patriarch Fenren Jadelight stopped him by raising his palm and then panning his gaze at everyone.

"The Starlight Jade Wolf Clan rejoiced with my birth and decided to stake all their bets on me. I, Fenren Jadelight, promised to bring our clan to peak when I took the position of the Patriarch. If none of you can't follow, then I can't lead, but what I can do is leave!"

"Fenren!"

Patriarch Fenren Jadelight's grandfather shouted while the others turned shocked.

He would go that far for an Anarchic Divergent? It looks like calling Davis Alstreim his brother wasn't being polite or smart at all but instead an honest emotion that stemmed from respect.

Indeed, Patriarch Fenren Jadelight merely gazed at the Third Ancestor, almost seeming to have a staring competition with him as though who would give up first.

"Hmph!" Third Ancestor Riyard flickered his sleeves, his nostrils flaring while his long white mustache flew up.

"You may be a King, but you have yet to understand what extinction of the clan truly means. Right now, you have such an easy way to get out, but you are letting your feelings get in your way. Are you even this Clan's Patriarch anymore?"

"Old fart." The Starlight Jade Wolf King growled, "It is because of people like you my Starlight Jade Wolf Clan regressed, always going for the most assured victory instead of risking it all and leaping to the highest heavens in a single move."

"Brat! It's easy for you to say that when you haven't done anything of huge achievement in your years of ruling as the Patriarch! I would've fully supported you even if you chose to wage war and slaughter our way to survival, but you instead bring an Anarchic Divergent and harm the entire clan instead!? Because of your mistakes, the invasion happened! Just what is wrong with you- pui!"

"Ancestor!"

Third Ancestor Riyard held his chest and spat out a mouthful of blood, suddenly losing his footing as he wobbled around. This caused the elders to rush to him but was stopped by the barrier restricting their ancestors from leaving.

"Fenren. What are you doing? Bring down the barrier."

"Patriarch. Please, we must not fight amongst ourselves."

"Our King, please..."

Patriarch Fenren Jadelight's grandfather admonished, and other elders started to plead, some even going to their knees as they begged him. It instantly made his expression churn, causing him to cast a glance at Davis. However, he saw him have a wry smile on his face, as though he knew this would happen, as though he was saying this is why he didn't show up for a long time.

However, he reeled back from his emotions.

The fact that the First Ancestor and Second Ancestor hadn't shown up when they had already awoken and paid a visit meant that they were still on edge, waiting for his decision.

'Or are they seeing if I would make a mistake in making a decision…?'

Patriarch Fenren Jadelight's expression was unsightly at this moment.

He couldn't believe his people, who believed in him, were still not sure about his decision to be allied with the Emperor of Death.

Not a single person raised their voice in support?

Perhaps, some of them who truly supported him were unable to raise their voice as it was truly foolish to take sides with an Anarchic Divergent. He cast a few glances at the two immortal inheritors but also saw that their gaze was hesitant.

He closed his eyes, hesitating for a few moments before he flicked his sleeves, bringing the barrier down.

"Just leave. I'm afraid that this power isn't for you as my people are unwilling to follow me unto glory or death. I have disappointed you, brother."

The Starlight Jade Wolf King's tone was apologetic before he sighed.

Indeed, he had released Davis instead of releasing the Third Ancestor.

The latter's gaze instantly flickered before he shouted.

"Stop him."

The elders instantly heeded his words and surrounded Davis, causing Master Deathseeker to narrow his brows while Yilla was also the same, squinting her eyes without fear in her expression.

"Enough. If you stop or harm my brother, I will leave."

The Starlight Jade Wolf King declared, causing the expressions of the elders to change.

"Fenren, you're too audacious." His grandfather appeared in front of him, appearing to want to stop him from making a move.

This made the Starlight Jade Wolf King's expression turn cold. He raised his hand again, seemingly wanting to make a move.

"…!"

But instantly, everyone felt a massive pressure crash down on them, causing the Starlight Jade Wolves to shiver uncontrollably. It was like a massive cool breeze rushed past them, causing frost to appear all over their bodies, except it wasn't as they felt a dreadful chill encroach their hearts.

"Fhi~"

Then came an adorable voice, causing them to look at the source as they saw the Emperor of Death reach out his hand when a tiny black wolf pounced on his palm and ran to his shoulder, constantly hopping and running around him from shoulder to shoulder, hand to hand in circles.

In the end, the tiny wolf stood beside his face, sitting on his shoulder before licking his cheek with fondness.

"Haha~ Nadia, that tickles…"

Davis took Nadia into his hands and kept her between his arms, caressing her smooth fur with warmth and affection. The next second, he turned to look at Isabella and the others approaching him with a blatant smile that was visible to him, even through their opaque veils, as he could imagine.

"Isabella, Shirley, Tanya, and Lea. I've returned safely..."

"That was fast..."

Isabella blinked. Wasn't he a prisoner kept by the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder? They were alarmed when Nadia told them that master was on their way, thinking that the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder did something like cut a part of his soul and deliver it to intimidate them but never did they think that it was their man himself who would arrive in whole.

But, even as they were curious, they looked around, knowing that the situation wasn't good.

However, their lips curled as they saw Nadia suppress them with her pure bloodline as an Empress. So what if they had Ancestors with them?

Nadia was already at a level where she could influence even an Immortal Emperor Wolf into submission easily, so what needed to be said about those who were at the Mid and Late Stages in the Immortal Emperor Stage?

They could only resist her overwhelming bloodline pressure to a degree.

'How intense…!'

Even the Starlight Jade Wolf King was shocked beyond compare, finally understanding that what Nadia displayed before, her aura, was nothing but a sample of her true regality. Once she started blaring her regal aura at this moment, they felt as if they were swallowed into a maw of abyss.

It made them feel as though there was no going against it.

Some elders were already pale, seemingly unsteady enough to lose consciousness. The immortal inheritors were also shaken.

As expected, a King's gaze cannot be overlooked, but an Emperor's very aura cannot be rebelled against!

That was the curse of the magical beast race while simultaneously a blessing!

Once an Emperor-Tier Beast was born into a magical beast power, it was as though their growth could not be stopped until their Emperor or Empress reached the peak or perished!

However, it was their first time experiencing absolute suppression from another kind of wolf! A wolf that was the polar opposite of their nature!
