Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2165: Clamour

Chapter 2165: Clamour

In a brief amount of time, the Distorted Skies of Yonder, which was silent for a while, became bustling as a marketplace.

The geniuses scrambled to see their idol or decide for themselves who the Emperor of Death really was, ascending to the dangerous skies. The wind blades here were of higher prowess, causing many of them to incur tears in their robes, but they didn’t stop as though they were possessed. No, it was more like they saw a grand treasure above and wouldn’t stop for any reason.

“Ahhh!”

Abruptly, blood splashed in the skies as a youth received a heavy wind blade to one of his legs. It left a deep gash on his calf muscles that he bent and held in pain, but the billowing winds pushed him down, causing him to be sent flying towards the surface without a stop.

His plight instantly sent a resounding awareness to the geniuses around that figure, making them come to realize that they wouldn’t be able to make it to the location where the Emperor of Death went.

“Curse my inability. I really wanted to see senior.”

“Sigh… it’s regretful not to be able to witness senior’s glory. I had wanted to see his battle with Fairy Myria too at that time, but they left somewhere the result unknown.”

“Still, to be able to reach extreme heights in the Distorted Skies of Yonder, the title Emperor of Death isn’t for nothing!”

The fanatical group stopped and exchanged a few words of longing, with two of them being women. However, there were also a few who wanted to spar with him and obtain many insights. Even if they were declined, they felt that it was worth it if it was just asking.

After all, the Emperor of Death seemed like a reasonable character unless someone provoked him. It was unlikely they would get massacred just for requesting a sparring session, and their reasoning was also supported by his disinterest in how they bellowed at him to stay off their spot when many others would be more than willing to teach them a lesson.

*Whoosh!~*

But suddenly, there was a windy silhouette who rushed past them, ascending like a willow at an incredible speed.

The eyes of the geniuses became shocked before one of the ladies screamed.

“Senior Adlet Rayburn!”

They recognized him as the successor to a remnant tomb of the Silver Radiant Skylark.

Adlet Rayburn breezed through the heavy winds and wind blades as though it was an easy matter for him. His altitude climbed in the hundreds of meters per second, causing the other geniuses to become shocked because even the geniuses with higher cultivation weren’t able to cross past this level.

They could ascend a bit more but knew that it would become dangerous once they ascended past a hundred meters or so, but Adlet Rayburn ascended past a kilometer and completely disappeared out of their view, causing them to reel in disbelief and jealousy.

“It’s his wind… it gives him more advantage here…”

A golden-robed person shook his head, causing people to look at him and recognize that he was Welch Regalanius, the Heaven Mandate Emperor’s one of many sons.

They couldn’t help but nod to him as he was a person of more authority, able to command the forces of the Heaven Mandate Temple as he had entered the Ninth Stage and became an Elder.

Above them, Adlet Rayburn made his way to Davis, finding it increasingly difficult to rise higher.

‘What the hell? How much has he improved over these few months!?’

He couldn’t help but inwardly curse the overwhelming gap between him and Davis. As he ascended a few dozen kilometers, he could no longer climb.

*Whiss!~*

Wind blades pierced his robes, causing his expression to turn unsightly as he still couldn’t find the Emperor of Death anywhere. As for the thought that the Emperor of Death could be somewhere around in the altitude, that didn’t even cross his mind because he believed that Davis wouldn’t settle for just some big spatial bubble that was slightly bigger than his spatial bubble.

But he could no longer ascend, causing him to take a deep breath and form a triangle with his hands as he brought them in front of his eyes that shone in a golden light.

“Eye Art: Light of Yonder.”

Instantly, his vision that was limited by the billowing winds unfolded in an instant, but at the same time, blood began pouring out of his eyes as they were being strained to the limit.

“…!”

Abruptly, he caught sight of the silhouette that he had been looking for. His eyes became bloodshot before he hurriedly closed them, his head trembling as he withstood the pain. However, he was shocked to find at the very center of the three hundred meters wide spatial bubble was the Emperor of Death sitting crossed-leg as though he wasn’t worried about the collapse of that large spatial bubble that he had never seen or wouldn’t even dare come close to the edge.

Even in the hundred-meter spatial bubble, he remained only ten meters away from the edge as he sat and tried to comprehend Space Laws. But this man…

‘Just what kind of a monster is he…?’

Adlet Rayburn felt that little bit of rivalry he had in mind disappear like the fleeting wind. His clenched teeth relaxed as he came to possess a wry smile on his face, beginning to dive down as though it was not his business anymore.

Meanwhile, Davis momentarily looked down and saw Adlet Rayburn’s expressions with his soul sense. He had felt a gaze and was slightly disturbed. However, as he had just begun meditating and didn’t enter a state of comprehension, he didn’t take too much offense and raised his head.

However, he was surprised that someone was able to see him from such a distance.

‘Guess I should learn some eye arts too…’

He never felt like he needed one with his soul sense, but it wouldn’t be bad to use in the immortal world where there could be many places his soul sense could be suppressed. He gave this work to the Solitary Soul Avatar in his mind, closing his eyes as he resumed his comprehension session. The same time he focused his heart and descended into gaining insights from the spatial essence lurking around him, Evelynn and the others had also started comprehending.

Meanwhile, Jeras Orcha, who felt like he gained a second wind a while ago, felt shattered as he heard about his wife’s affair with Lezlie Starchild. He descended and tried to leave the Distorted Skies of Yonder without saying a word.

However, on the way, he encountered a group of audacious people who teased him for fun. The blood went to his head, and before he knew it, there were two bloody heads in his grasp.

“Giselle, you slut! Where the fuck are you!?”

Throwing his head above, he screamed with intense rage, his eyes becoming bloodshot.

His cultivation deviated, and he turned into a ruthless killing machine as his heart demon took over and started a killing spree, crushing whoever was in front of him as he searched for Giselle Orcha! But before he could make it halfway, he was ganged up by the geniuses who had gathered and ended up being mauled to death.

Hearing this information, the Karmic Guardian Emperor hurriedly made his way to the Distorted Skies of Yonder and had to placate the geniuses and their powers who came to engage in an altercation with the Astral Light Sect and the Orcha Family.

Looking at the Starnova Emperor and the Orcha Family Patriarch staring at each other along with their two juniors who were at fault for this mess, the Karmic Guardian Emperor couldn’t help but stroke his forehead.

‘As expected of an Anarchic Divergent… their ability to cause disaster is second to none. After all, those who have karmic luck and are almost impossible to kill are dropping dead like flies before the calamity could even completely descend…’
