Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2127: Reversing The Runes

Chapter 2127: Reversing The Runes

He broke the limit the first time and survived the punishment, leaving him free of this restriction. Either this or the heavenly tribulation realized that he was devouring its essence and no longer bothered to send him tribulations.

This was Davis’s thoughts on this matter, not even knowing that something greater had happened without his knowledge.

Having come to a temporary conclusion, he moved on and looked into his soul sea, looking at the tiny wisp of heavenly flame burning with a greater significance than he could have imagined.

‘A heavenly flame wisp that has spiritual undulations…’

Davis’s heart was shaken as he glimpsed at this heavenly flame wisp, making him utterly confused because when he refined the heavenly lightning dragon, no such life was to be seen, but in this heavenly flame wisp, he could feel the semblance of life.

It could only mean that the heavenly flame dragon he faced had more consciousness compared to the heavenly lightning dragon as it seemed more real, battling with him, inflamed at him.

Still, from what he could tell from this refined wisp of heavenly flames with a semblance of life, it didn’t have consciousness but considering that it was refined, he understood that it was in a pure, unborn state, which made his mind tremble because this could be the kind of catalyst that actually creates life, a Spirit Attribute Source.

Back then, Eldia had vaguely mentioned that the reason for her birth was a tiny yet imperceptible strand of heavenly lightning striking her place of origin and allowing her to be born as a natural entity, which is a Spirit Attribute Source. Following the same line of thought, Davis suspected that if he used this wisp of consciousness seething with heavenly flames on a source of fire, like in lava of flames or flames with special properties, it should be possible to give birth to a Spirit Attribute Source, perhaps even with heavenly flames as the heavenly flame wisp had a tremendous amount of energy with it that he allowed during segregation of the heavenly flame dragon wisp.

On the other hand, it is also possible that this wisp of consciousness seething with heavenly flames be devoured by a fully grown Spirit Attribute Source and experience the heavenly tribulation to mold their body into one of heavenly flames, just like Eldia.

Davis couldn’t help but descend into contemplation, wanting to know which method gave him a greater advantage. Obviously, growing a spirit from its birth would allow them to have greater trust, but the time it would take to build such an entity was nothing but a disadvantage. On the other hand, capturing a Spirit Attribute Source and allowing it to take form into a heavenly flame spirit would be a difficult task.

After all, Eldia was a special case where he freed her from captivity, so she began to rely on him. However, for a grown yet aggressive fire spirit to submit, he would have to display Fallen Heaven’s death energy.

‘Or perhaps, Fallen Heaven’s life energy can make a being submit in a non-aggressive way as it unleashes a soothing aura that makes living beings somewhat friendly and disposed towards having a conversation…’

Davis considered his options, wondering which of the two methods he should take. However, he couldn’t decide, thinking of continuing with his cultivation. After all, he still reserved some tremendous amount of energy from the absorption of heavenly flames to reverse the two mutated Supreme Immortal Runes, not that he felt that he needed this energy since his inner core seemed to be resonating with the Runes, giving him the feeling that he only needed to act on a thought to create an artificial physique at this moment!

However, Davis felt his soul exhausted. He had been continually using his soul sense and soul force for these two and a half months, so he couldn’t help but feel the exhaustion wearing him down.

He instructed Eldia and Tyriele to protect him, brought out a cabin, and went to sleep.

A day later, he came out, feeling somewhat refreshed but still exhausted.

‘I guess a day of sleep isn’t enough to relieve the fatigue…’

Davis wryly smiled with bags below his eyes. He couldn’t say to be well-rested. However, he didn’t want to rest anymore.

A day wasted is a day lost. That little difference could result in his survivability and happiness decreasing. After all, not only did he want to become stronger but also to return to make love with his lovely women. Moreover, Isabella was going to give birth soon, and he couldn’t wait to see their baby, nor could he be absent.

He couldn’t use his avatar to be there as that would be insincere and accidentally invite discord amongst Isabella and Shirley even if they digested that he was busy. He didn’t want them to go through such emotions.

Nonetheless, he set a limit for himself and felt that he would fail to be a father to Isabella’s child if he wasn’t there personally. He wanted to hold his baby and feel fulfilled as a father like the time he lifted Eterna, becoming exhilarated.

Just thinking of that scene put a big smile on his face, motivation teeming into his heart before he took back the cabin and sat above the scorched land, closing his eyes and beginning to meditate. Quickly, he composed himself and acted on that thought, causing his inner core that never spun to actually revolve like a revolving core!

*Bzzz~~*

His inner world shook, seemingly shattering for a moment as cracks appeared. However, they stitched themselves back, a dark crimson red and blackish-silver light mixing into the fray.

Davis couldn’t help but tremble as he witnessed the changes taking place in his lower dantian. His meridians also seemed to be transforming at a visible rate, making him take a deep breath as he silenced his excitement, continuing to observe and motion the intrinsical change.

A week later, Davis woke up from seclusion and had Eldia and Tyriele return to his soul sea before he left the Hundred Devil Thunder Archipelago.
