Dimensional Store System In Apocalypse

Chapter 271 - Knocking The West Door To Shut The East (1)

"Boss... That building over there is one of the shelter's entrances you're looking for. Can we leave now?" the survivor points his finger at one of the pristine-looking buildings in this Turbine Town outer zone.

Without locals like them leading the way, Zhang Qin Feng and the others would find it challenging to search for the entrance for sure.

But getting guided to this place is pointless if they have no idea where is the entrance is located. It's not like there will be a marker sprayed on the walls and written "The shelter entrance is right here" for people who came.

"Wait..." Zhang Qin Feng grabbed the survivor's shoulder to prevent him from leaving.

"Y-Yes, boss?" he trembled. The thought of getting forced to go inside alone to prove the credibility of his information made him tensed up.

"What are you getting so surprised for? Accompany us over there. We won't be attacking the shelter straight away, so guide us around and help us while we make this entry secure from future threats."

"I'm sure that there's could be a few more entrances around here. Try to remember where they're located. There are many things for us to prepare before attacking the shelter." said Zhang Qin Feng.

"This..." the survivor felt slight despair for getting dragged along with Zhang Qin Feng's men as they surveyed the area and placed down some markers on the essential points. This preparation work continued for a few days while the other survivors were gradually sent to the previous Wind Base to secure their control over that area.

It was like a calm before the rain.

The zombie horde continued to appear around the two MCC to keep Zhang Qin Feng men from making a move.

But this situation would have to be broken at one point.

Two weeks after they secured their influence around that motorway exit, Zhang Qin Feng could no wait for the Lamia to take action. Furthermore, one week was more than enough for them to push all kinds of production above the limit and equipped all the soldiers adequately with the best arsenal they could.

With an order from Zhang Qin Feng, they finally made their move and attacked the Turbine Town. Two hundred soldiers, divided into twenty individual teams, spread out to secure all the critical areas around this town.

All the soldiers under Zhang Qin Feng come with a standard-issue Thunderbolt Rifle and a Delta-Model Pistol. They're also given a set of Transporter-Type Exoskeleton Piece to increases their carrying capacity. Still, not everyone was issued with a Decimator Rocket Launcher.

Only those with high tolerance against encumbering equipment are allowed to move along with the specialist equipment. They've also been given a few other one-time-use items, such as Shockwave Grenade to handle several zombies.

Close to 20% of the zombie population were executed mercilessly when the operation started. It went off too quickly to the point it was too late when the overlord of this Turbine Town noticed what happened.

It was already too late by the time it was preparing to fortify the entrance into the shelter by ordering those Tyrant-Type.

Zhang Qin Feng's people entered the shelter through multiple entrances before blocking some of them and cutting the zombie's passage. This would definitely stop them from spreading all over the facility and making the takeover harder to accomplish.

The number of zombies and Tyrant-Type killed reaches ten of thousands at the end of day 1. This surprise attack gave Zhang Qin Feng's side a better advantage than the zombie, but the second day is where the battle gets fiercer.

It seems that the Lamia takeover some of Satella's battling sense too. Although it was thoroughly defeated in strategy for day one, the number of zombies and Tyrant-Type is still nine to ten times more than the Wind Base.

And unlike the human, the zombie's weapon is not firearms, but their limbs and blood.

Nothing was deadlier than the charge of a few origin Tyrant into the battlefield and destroyed whatever formation the human has. The regular Tyrant might be lacking in strategy, but brute force always reigns supreme.

Those defensive lines that Zhang Qin Feng's soldiers erected with all their effort were barely enough to withstand a single charge from the Tyrant before they fell.

The shocking result from their day 2 surprised Zhang Qin Feng as all the advantages over the zombies were taken away in a single day. Although Zhang Qin Feng had already expected some of that to happen, he had no idea it would fall this quickly.

Even Satella's frontline was hit by the regular and mutated Tyrant army hard. As if they knew how to evaluate the strength of each respective team, the zombie army was employing a different strategy here and there.

Some places were hit by a horde of unaccountable zombies, while some only had elites as their opponents. As for Zhang Qin Feng's protection team, they were harassed by the zombies to the point it got on their nerve.

"Boss! Give me the permission to get inside the base and drag that damn Lamia out from its nest! We can let it keep toying with us!" Alex complained. As part of Zhang Qin Feng's team, he was the one that got harassed the most.

Only today itself, his team has been running up and down across three locations due to all those harassments.

"That's what the monster wants you to do. How sure are you that the overlord will be there when you arrive at the central control? And do you know what kind of equipment you need to break into the control room?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.

"But boss! We can't remain passive forever." Alex said.

"Alex is correct, Feng. Queenie did mention that the number of zombies on the tunnel is getting lesser in these two days. If I'm not mistaken, the Tyrant King might be in contact with the Lamia to take us down together." Satella said.

"Oh, so the zombies were getting less at Queenie's side?" Zhang Qin Feng smile. It seems that he had something in his sleeve for showing such a response.
