Chapter 275 - Killing The Beast

The entire sky which looked akin to an infinite cosmos, was painted crimson while the surrounding water around the island began to evaporate with a speed that was visible to the naked eye!

And exactly in the middle of this utter chaos, a collosal beast, which seemed to be a hybrid between a dragon and a serpent, could be seen struggling, seemingly attempting to escape the chaotic sea of flames and consume a small island not far away from it.

TREMBLE!

The beast went on a crazy frenzy, but no matter where it tried to go or escape to, whenever it attempted to change positions or attack Khal on the island, the cosmos around it began to spin while several powerful fire blades crashed into its body, causing its humongous body to retreat and shiver with pain.

"ROOOAAAR!!!"

While the beast struggled to get close to Khal and the two behind him, Khal clenched his teeth and said, "Can you guys move already and help me? I won't be able to keep it away from us for a long time!"

Deva and Baylie who stood dumbstruck behind Khal suddenly snapped out of their daze and realizing that maybe they really had a chance for victory, withdrew their weapons and stood beside Khal.

"DIE!!" Baylie roared loudly and with strength that made his muscles bulge with immense power, he swung his greatsword forward, creating a large and crescent sword slash in the air that flew toward the beast with a frightening momentum!

BOOOM!

"ROOOAAAR!!"

However, to his great shock, his attempt was nonexistent, could be said completely meaningless, as the only thing that his attack left on the creature's skin was a small cut and nothing more!

"What? Impossible!" Baylie was at a loss for words, not believing that one of his most powerful Secret Art, Wave Strike, couldn't injure the beast in front of him while Khal with the same cultivation base as him could.

He thought it was simply ridiculous and impossible!

"Let me try it! It seems its weakness is fire, so maybe my Talent will be more than useful here than yours." Deva quickly raised her staff and closed her eyes, before opening them once again and shouting, "Grim Area, Soul Fire!"

BAM!

Purple flames appeared out of the thin air in a huge radius around the beast, and just like how Khal's Hell Blaze did, Deva's Grim Fire also engulfed the entire creature, changing the crimson-colored sky into a wild orchid in a split second!

"ROOOOAAARR!!"

Once that happened, the creature's movements and attempts became even crazier than before, but thanks to Khal, they were repealed each and every time without a problem.

Though, it was obvious that he too was struggling to keep up with the defense as his Body Essence was reducing at a frightening speed!

As a fact, if it weren't for him increasing his Body Essence during his journey and his time inside this dungeon while also increasing his traits day by day, Khal was pretty sure he wouldn't have been able to rival such a terrifying beast for such a long time.

While Deva and Baylie attacked the World Devourer with continuous attacks, Khal took a quick glance at his units of Body Essence, only to make a bitter smile.

'A bit more than two thousand, huh? This can't go on like this or else we will all die here!'

Khal shifted his gaze at Deva and Baylie, only to see them struggling too, while bean-sized sweat drops flowed down from their faces, showing they were nearing their limit too.

[You should hurry up.]

'Really? Thanks for the advice!' Khal said with an annoyed face before shifted his gaze back at the beast and sighed.

'It seems I can only use that. With my units of Essence, it should be sufficient enough.' thought Khal and summoned a half black and half white sword into his other hand while also covering his Devil Fangs in a mixture of crimson fire and blue Essence!

He then took a deep breath and once his heartbeat calmed down his gaze became sharp and lowered his body.

"Dance of The Celestial Serpent, Seventh Form- Phantom Serpent Dance!"

Crack!

Swish!

BAM!

Right as his voice fell, Khal's body flashed away from the island, leaving a deep pit in his prior spot, and reappeared right above the creature's head!

The serpent, however, seemed to anticipate this and has already raised its humongous head, it has wide open to consume Khal in one single bite!

"Hmph."

Though, just as Khal could have been eaten alive, suddenly Khal's body flashed once again and reappeared before the creature's throat, both of his weapons already slashed deep into its hard skin!

"ROOOAAARR!!"

The creature cried toward the sky with anger and pain, and without hesitation moved its long tail to slam Khal away.

However, this attempt of the creature failed too as Khal had already vanished from his spot and reappeared somewhere else.

And just under a split second, both of his weapons chopped deep into its skin several times, one sucking its lifeforce away while the other one opened the wound even wider and scorching the flesh inside it with powerful explosions which were impossible to defend against!

"ROOOAAARR!!!"

Fresh blood and sliced flesh flew everywhere as Khal's body flashed continuously, leaving on the creature's body nothing else but deep and wide wounds where the beasts' bone was clearly visible!

"I-Impossible... How can he be this strong?" Deva and Baylie have already stopped attacking, starting at the sight before them with widened eyes and loosened jaw.

In their eyes, the creature was something that not even a handful of top experts would be able to take down, yet Khal, who was not even at the Ninth Cultivation Stage, was making the terrifying beast look as though it was nothing but a mere ant!

"So this what that relic from the Higher Realms can grant for its owner? With that, he is simply invincible!" Baylie mumbled quietly while his eyes couldn't hide his envy toward Khal's luck.

And just as he said those words, Khal's sword pierced the beast's forehead, making the creature roar toward the sky for one final time before collapsing onto the ground.
