Cultivation Through Artifacts

Chapter 240 - Rock Heart

"Rock Golem?" Khal raised his brow once he saw what the Mission was about, especially the rewards.

He saw quite a few Mission rewards before, but one with so many valuable items as rewards he didn't see ever. This was his very first time seeing something like this and he was pleasantly surprised, to say the least.

"Startled, huh? I was the same when I found this mission yesterday, but to be honest, I was a bit hesitant to accept it even when I saw the rewards."

"Hesitant? Why?" asked Khal.

"Why? You never heard about Rock Golems before? They are terrifying creatures on the peak of the Fifth Cultivation Stage, some even reaching the Sixth Stage, which is considered as invincible creatures among their own Stage!

"Of course I know about Rock Golems, a creature that can regenerate infinitely while also having exceptional physical strength, but I think they are not invincible at all. You just need to break their Rock Heart and that's all."

"That's all..." Liza seemed stupefied by Khal's somewhat arrogant words, but after considering he was already on the Sixth Cultivation Stage they seemed the truth.

Khal obviously understood her thoughts and quickly added, "Sorry, maybe my words seemed rather arrogant."

"No, you are right. The only way to kill a Rock Golem is to pierce its heart, as that is the core that helps it regenerate continuously, However, even if I know what to do, detecting its Rock Heart is still considered difficult for me as it is constantly moving within its body." Liza sighed, but to her surprise, Khal quickly shook his head and smiled.

"That must be not the case."

"What do you mean by that?" Liza asked and continued, "I know you have a Sight Enhancing Talent, so for you detecting its core may not be so difficult, but it is not the case for me. I have no Talent nor Secret Art to help me as you do, and that is why I asked for your help."

Khal nodded and said, "I know, and I will indeed help you, but what I meant is that it won't be difficult even for you. The only thing you need to do is to watch its body and its behavior."

"Its body and behavior?" Liza raised her brow when she heard this.

"Yes. You only need to watch those two things, as Rock Golems tend to defend or even not to use their parts where their Rock Heart currently is."

He then continued, "For example, if it's Rock Heart is in its right hand, Rock Golems occasionally show their left side to their enemies for better defense while if it is in their left leg, they never move from their spot until the Rock Heart does not move to another location. If you know and notice these little details, killing Rock Golems is not so difficult either."

Liza stayed silent after Khal's explanation before she raised her delicate brow and asked, "Since when did you become so knowledgeable in the field of Beasts?"

"I was always an expert, you just didn't notice it." Khal smiled widely, but in truth, he was just lying.

In truth, he never knew a thing about Beasts and their traits, but ever since he started reading the mysterious book, his knowledge about a lot of things got vaster at a terrifying rate!

Not only did he acquire tons of new information about beasts he has never seen or heard of before, but he got to learn quite a few new things that could help him once he decides to discover the world before ascending into the Second Realm.

For example, the book stated that every Realm, including the First Realm where he currently is, has a so-called Realm Tomb where one can gain access to the Realms below them!

Thus, if a being finds this so-called Realm Tomb on the Fifth Realm, they can freely travel onto the Realm below it, but of course, to a limited amount of time which always differs regarding from which Realm one tries to go to which Realm.

For instance, if Khal once reaches the Fifth Realm but decides to come back down to the First Realm, he can only remain here only for a bit more than ten seconds as more than that and he will be forced back into the Fifth Realm by the Realm Tomb.

However, if he goes back only to the Fourth Realm, he can stay there for more than a day, as the power difference between beings inside the Fifth Realm and the Fourth Realm is not 'that' vast as between the Fifth and First Realm.

Though, these pieces of information are currently useless to him, thus Khal just simply ignored them for the time being and concentrated on the things he can and must do presently.

"Anyways, when do we want to go? If I am right, Rock Golems are not habitant creatures on Moon Mountain as they can be found on the Fiery Grasslands, and it is quite far away." Khal said as he stared at Liza calmly.

"How about tomorrow early in the morning?"

"That's okay for me." nodded Khal and after talking with Liza for a bit more he walked away as it was time for him to forge with Bazz once again.

However, not after he took a few steps forward, suddenly a cold chill swept through his body, almost akin to someone watching him from the darkness, but even after he glanced around he saw no one, which made his brows lower into a frown.

'Trying to hide from me, huh?' Khal closed his eyes and quickly a clear picture of Moon City and Moon Academy together with every moving and not moving people and object manifested in his head, almost as though he was looking down onto the whole city from above like a God!

'There you are.' Khal concentrated on a spot not far away from him, where a man wearing a full set of black clothes stood behind a building, seemingly one with its shadow, making its silhouette and presence hard to detect.

But unfortunately for him, thanks to the Jade Tombstone that made the entire Moon City Khal's territory, he was easily discovered, and even identified as only a fool would not know who it was.

'So they have already started their search, huh?' Khal pondered, while an unnoticed smile appeared on his face before opening his eyes calmly and proceeding to walk to the Blacksmith Department where Bazz was already waiting for him.
