Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 146 - 146 - Flame Repellent

Yue and Tian came out of the room with two shoulders bags and a smaller bag with guns and bullets.

Zou Wei and Wen glanced at them with varied expression. One had a bright smile on his face while the other had a look of worry.

"Nui, this is not right... it's too risky for Tian," Wen mumbled, glancing at the young girl.

Zou Nui glanced at the two older men behind her. "Just watch," she confidently looked at her children. Much to their surprise, Tian sat down on the cough and started to load the bullets.

Her fingers moved so fast that naked eyes could not catch her action.

"This is only possible with year of practice...." Zou Nui whispered, fidgetting with her sleeve. "Her hands are covered in calluses, especially her index fingertip and her palm. Wen, Tian has her own secrets.... I believe that involves guns and violence."

She glanced back at the two men, who looked stunned at her revelation.

"I believe my daughter went through something painful, but that painful thing made her a strong girl she is today. Tian ai is a warrior," she smirked widely.

Tian glanced their way with her brows raised

Zou Nui gave her a thumbs up with an excited grin. "You can do it, my sweet sweet daughter,"

For which the younger one nodded awkwardly. "I have no clue what she is cheering for?" she whispered to Yue in secret.

"haha, mum is super cute," he whispered finally, inserted the loaded magazine into the gun and handed it to him. "You are just as cute as her," he poked her hands.

Tian frowned. "I'm not cute. You are cute,"

"No, you are cute,"

"Both of you are cute~" Hary plopped on the sofa next to them. "Why argue when you both are almost identical?"

"We are not!" they both said simultaneously.

"Whatever you say...." Hary took one of the guns from Tian and started loading as well. "There are not many bullets."

"It's enough for me. Yue is going to use a sword and a crossbow," Tian mumbled.

"What about me? I need guns,"

Both Yue and Tian just gave him a look.

"I don't think you understand... we both are going alone," Yue whispered with an awkward smile.

"Why? I am coming with you guys." Hary stood up and excitedly took the bags from under the couch. "I'm all packed and ready,"

"Hary, it's...." Tian hesitantly looked at his pant legs. "It might be too much."

"Hey! You guys don't know about my ability, right?" He lifted his pant showing off his shiny metal legs. "Cool, isn't it? I can transform it into anything I want,"

Yue moved closer, gently tapping on it. Usually a tap of his fingertip will leave a dent on any metal, but surprisingly Hary's legs were super strong. "Wow, this is strong."

"That is not the coolest part. Check this out." he placed his leg up on the armrest and wiggled his toes. "It functions as a normal leg, wait see this,"

He took out a small rod of some sort of rod in his backpack and kicked it. The rod instantly broke and shattered.

Tian patted his thighs. "That's awesome. But you are staying here. Fewer people means less time to travel,"

Hary pouted. "More people means less danger. There are so many zombies out there, especially the city centre. Take me with you,"

He looked genuinely upset at their rejection.

"Hary.. it's just I don't feel comfortable leaving my parents alone here. Especially since the girls are here as well. There might be some creeps keeping a lookout at this house,"

The blond man just looked at them with a pitiful pout.

Someone cleared their throats loudly, breaking the awkward silence. "Take him with you." uncle Wen stepped forward and patted Yue's shoulders. "Your parents and the girls can stay over at my house until you return,"

Yue thought about these idea for a bit. If his parents stayed over at uncle Wen's then they might be protected from danger. As for his stock of things at his house, Juda can take it with her in her space.

But there is a huge risk in this plan of his. If Juda was hurt in any ways in these few days he was away, the whole stock of his would just disappear.

Space ability is like that. It was mystical. For years, no one knew where that space was stored. But with research, Qian Wen found out that space resides in their own body.

If they are hurt, mortally or dead, anything in their space will be destroyed.

Yue thought about it for a long time. "What else can you do?" he glanced at Hary expectantly.

"Well I can move metal." He touched his legs and a part of the metal melted off like liquid mercury and moved to his hands. "It's not that great of an ability though. That's why I need guns. But I bet your uncle can help me with that," he smirked at uncle Wen.

Yue suddenly squatted down, peering at the liquid metal on Hary's metallic legs. "Can you place it in this cup?" he took a used metal coffee cup from the table.

Hary gingerly poured it in. "are you going to drink it? cuz I would suggest otherwise."

He took the cup and ran to the garden area where the plants were fully harvested. He placed it on the ground, partially burying it.

"Tian, use your flames."

Tian confusedly looked at him. "oh-kay...."

The flames instantly met the metal...

Minutes ticked by, but the metal was not reacting in any ways possible.

"um how long do I have to do this?"

"That's would be more than enough," Yue leaned down and dug the cup out. The top half of the metal cup was melted but the bottom half was cold to touch.

He poured the liquid metal on his hand. The metal coated his fingers like a cold elastic glove. "Use the flames again. But just on my hand,"

"It will burn you...."

"Just do it, trust me, it won't hurt me,"

The red flames gushed out but as soon as it touched his metal coated hands, it started to repel.

"Just as I had expected...."

A few years after the apocalypse when he was travelling from S city to G city, he met a guy with a metallic hand. He said that he had lost his hand to a zombie attack and a metallic hand grew out in its place. Just like Hary, he could change the metal into a liquid form. It cannot be used for attack but.... it can easily repel any fire power abilities.

Since it was not a useful ability he completely forgot about it.

Yue caressed the liquid metal with a huge grin. "We just might have a use for you, Hary,"

Usually when Tian used her flames, he had to stay out of her range. This would not be possible when they were fighting back to back. Even when they were travelling together, Tian had to hold back her flames in order not to hurt him.

But with Hary's ability, he could be fire proof and Tian can use her powers liberally.

"Juda and Lui, are you both comfortable staying with me uncle for a while."

The girls and his parents agreed with this plan readily. "we are okay with it...'

"Juda," Yue gestured for her to come close. "The attic," he whispered.

She nodded, understanding her underlying meaning.

Her worried eyes fell on Tian.

Tian suddenly pulled her hand and placed a loaded gun in her trembling palm. "use it if you must,"

"Hmm..." Juda smiled softly. "Stay safe Tian.. you too, Yue. Come back home."

"We will," Yue hugged her softly and then ran to his parents. "I'll be back okay so no more tears," he pulled his mum into a tight hug. His dad joined them.

His big palm gently caressed his head. "Don't be too rash. Your safety is the most important. You too Tian."

After saying their goodbyes, they climbed into the military vehicle, Tian in the driver's seat, Yue in the passenger seat and Hary in the back.

Uncle Wen knocked on the window.

Yue lowered the glass. "We will be borrowing this uncle."

"I don't mind..... There are weapons and food enough for a few days in the back trunk. Use everything if you must." he handed him a small note. "Give this to the stationed guards. When returning, you might have to wait out a few days. Make sure to stay safe okay,"

Yue held his hands. "Thank you so much uncle,"

"T-take care of your sister." He whispered ever so softly. "Get started then," he tapped the front of the car.

Tian nodded towards him and drove away.

Feeling conflicted by his final words, Yue put his head out and glanced at him.

Wen had unshed tears in his eyes while his parents were waving at him excitedly.

'Something just feels weird.... why is Wen so worried about Tian... is it because he was searching for her a long time? Is that why?'

"Put your head in," Tian yanked him in.

Yue rolled up the window with a small frown.

The car drove through the empty, almost empty streets. A few men were roaming around. All their gazes fell on their car as soon as they drove past.

The look of envy and greed. This was something he was so used to.

He placed his head on the window, closing his eyes.

Tian, on the other hand, had a different outlook. She glared at the men that were literally drooling at the sight of her brother. 'These men... I am so tempted to dig out their eyes,'

"Hary, use your metal to shield the windows,"

"Um... that is going to take a lot of my energy...." Hary whispered softly.

"Then use a bed sheet or something. If not, I might just shoot all of them,"

"Whoa, tiger," Hary hurriedly found a bed sheet and wedged it in the gap of the glass windows. "Happy now?"

"Yes, very," Tian smirked widely.
