Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 418

Chapter 418: Who…… Are You?

The warriors standing by screamed out of fear, while some of them who intended to exploit the defeat of Qian Jin to their advantage gave up all thoughts of doing so.

This young warrior possessed appalling combat power. Even if he was standing motionless and hit by the three Demon Fighters frantically, he would be unharmed as long as he was not assaulted at the most vulnerable part of a man.

Qian Jin turned away slowly and walked out of the shade. The shade which had blocked the sunshine gradually left his face, looking as if he expelled the darkness.

Looking at Qian Jin, the three young warriors made an unconscious step back at the same time. After releasing that horrible attack, his previously moderate build had now become larger and larger with every step forward, making people feel that he had become a deity incarnate.

Qian Jin slowly walked out of the shade and put on a faint smile at the sight of the onlookers’ facial expression. It was at this moment that he eventually stood in line with Uncle Marc Gavin’s remarks of maintaining a high profile. To keep a low profile? For what? For attracting others to attempt to step on him by putting on the mask of modesty? Wasn’t that a behavior of an insane person?

“Dear seniors.” Qian Jin lifted his right hand softly and made a welcoming gesture. “I wonder whether my performance has proven my abilities to accept your collective challenge. If you agree with that, please come on together.”

Come on? The three young warriors exchanged a bitter smile with each other, knowing that there was too much of a gap in strength between them. It was not until this moment did they realized that the principal released that piece of news to help Qian Jin grow up at the fastest speed, instead of encouraging anyone to take over his ranking.

“Classmate Qian, we quit. You are the winner. We lag behind you too much. We may challenge again you when we improve in the future.”

The three warriors withdrew their warrior power, laid down their fists and tapped on their chests, as an acknowledgment of Qian Jin’s power.

The other warriors standing by showed different looks. While some of them felt it fortunate that they didn’t join in the fight, or else they would be in an equally awkward situation as the three warriors, the others had rolled their eyes, saying to themselves that this was really a shocking piece of news that Qian Jin wasn’t as weak as described by the principal.

Qian Jin raised his head and uttered a smile looking at the balcony of the teaching building. Well, the principal had really picked up the best place for enjoying the drama, a place best suitable for the archers to put up shooting which could not only cloak the performer but also take into view the entire front-side landscape of the campus.

“Ouch? Has he found me out?” Isabella whisked her fingers to play with a strand of fringe, looking at the back figure of Qian Jin. “That boy… I used to worry that he might have picked up some bad habits like many other youngsters, putting on a low profile and waiting for someone else to challenge him so that he could give the challenger a heavy counterattack. That’s why I made the news public… but he…well, that’s quite unthinkable. He is more illustrious than what I had expected.

“Your royal highness, though without bloodline awakening power, he has a warrior heart just like you…”

“Yeah, that’s really incredible.” Tence Matten waved his folding fan gently and then turned back to look at the ironman behind him. “I obtained this warrior heart because of the special fighting scroll owned by the Zence Family. But how did he achieve that? Was this a heritage from his father? Wouldn’t this be too huge a cost?”

“He would serve as a good retinue.”

“Iron…” Tence Matten frowned. “I also thought that I could have him my retinue at the very beginning. But now I guess I was wrong as this person brings me the feeling that he couldn’t be used as anyone’s retinue.”

“Cannot be taken as anyone’s retinue?” The ironman wore a highly puzzled look. Hailed as one of the three most illustrious princes of this generation, Tence Matten, the Sixth Prince, was outstanding not only in personal charm but also political plots. It was his first time hearing his master prince saying that he was unable to recruit anyone as his retinue.

“Yes. He couldn’t be recruited.” Tence Matten wore a contemplative look and then shook his head. “He is really a strange person whom I cannot see through, neither do I know how I ought to treat him. If I cannot have him work as my retinue, how should I get along with him?”

Ironman looked at Tence Matten bemusedly, wondering how should his master prince deal with this person if he couldn’t be used as the retinue. Given the Art of Emperor the Sixth Prince had learned, wouldn’t he come up with one best suitable?

“It takes time and I can wait.”Tence Matten strode toward the classroom. “There’s eventually a solution.”

“He couldn’t be used as the retinue? He values Qian Jin higher than me?” Seeing Tence Matten leave, Isabella crossed her arms over her chest. “Though having been indoctrinated a lot of precious knowledge and skills, these royal members lack something ordinary people are informed of. You can befriend with him, even if he couldn’t work as your retinue…”

“Friends?” Isabella lifted her hand to cover her lips, eyes filled with shock. “What did I say just now? Friends? To have the Sixth Prince befriend with Qian Jin? How come? Tence Matten is one of the two most prospective throne successors of this generation. How could he make friends with Qian Jin? Have I been influenced by the Sixth Prince, or by Qian Jin? Well, I should stop thinking about this and go to Qian Jin’s class. This young boy is continuing to make things more entertaining.”

The class bell rang slowly over the entire campus, hearing which several warrior students who were pacing idly conjured some warrior power and performed movement techniques to head for the classroom.

All of a sudden, the only things left on the campus road were some fallen leaves.

Qian Jin walked into the classroom and picked up a seat aimlessly. No sooner had he sat down on the chair than the door of the classroom was opened again. Three young warrior students walked into the classroom shoulder by shoulder.

“Qian Jin?”

The tallest one standing in the middle of the three young warriors put on a sword-like smile and started cracking his fingers loudly.

Qian Jin lifted his head, looked at the angry young warrior and tapped his temple. Though feeling somewhat familiar with this young warrior, he couldn’t recall who he was specifically. After a short while of pondering, he asked, “Have we met before?”

“You.”

The blue veins on tall young warrior’s forehead bumped as he flushed, looking as if he had been thrust on the breast by a hammer. Wobbling, he seemed like falling off at any time.

“Hoare Tee.”

While shouting, the other two young warriors standing beside the tall warrior took their hands to prop up their partner.

“Hoare Tee.” Qian Jin rolled his eyes. “I seem to have heard of this name…”

Hoare Tee stabilized himself and looked at Qian Jin with sheer hatred, recalling the humiliating memory of being punched heavily by Qian Jin due to his insulting Fanta Kunge on the battle ring. It had been the greatest insult he had suffered over all these years, however, this enemy had forgotten about him! It became more humiliating than being punched by him.

“Hoare…the Hoare Family…” Qian Jin tapped on the desk slightly. “The Flame Bear Bloodline Family? Oh. I punched you last time I came to school.”

“You eventually remembered me.” Hoare Tee gritted his steel teeth so hard that he nearly broke them. However, he didn’t feel pleased for being remembered. Instead, it proved such a stigma for him to be totally ignored by so many classmates. Over the past days, he had been practicing hard to erase the stigma by fracturing the bones of this enemy.

“You.” Qian Jin looked at the other thin warrior standing by Hoare Tee’s side. “You are the Adder Bloodline Warrior scared away by Duren Burg the other day. You are Zarf…”

“Lenz Zarf.”

The young Adder Bloodline Warrior glared at Qian Jin with a sullen face. Was it not for the ban on fighting in the classroom and was it in the open field, he would have long aligned with Hoare Tee to finish off this disgusting warrior called Qian Jin.

Qian Jin nodded his head nonchalantly. As bloodline warriors, they didn’t possess compelling strength, nor did they rank ahead of him in the Hundred Battle Ranking List, so there was no need to pay attention to or fight with them.

Hoare Tee trembled heavily and looked at Qian Jin, shouting silently that he had once again been neglected. The last time he was punched by this very person, he lied on a bed for a long time and thus became the joke of all students on the campus. However, upon their re-encounter today, he was once again neglected! How dare an ordinary warrior like him treat the bloodline warriors like this?! Didn’t they know who the guardians of Zence Empire were?

“Let it go, Hoare Tee.” Lenz Zarf grasped Hoare Tee’s arm hard and looked over the classroom swiftly. Then he put on a typical serpent species’ look and said, “You don’t need to be serious with him. We are the noble bloodline warriors. He will be beaten heavily in the battlefield in a couple of minutes.”

The battlefield? Qian Jin looked at the three warrior student leaving away with a sneer, feeling greatly puzzled. Wasn’t this the military psychology course? What did it have to do the battlefield?

A hairy man pushed open the door of the classroom and walked directly onto the pulpit without taking even one textbook with him. “Hello, noobs. How have you been? I do miss you guys. I can’t go on without torturing you. Haha.”

Noobs? Torture? Qian Jin scratched his head and found that the rest of the classmates were wearing a bitter smile. They looked eager to fight back, yet couldn’t say anything as a defense.

“Aha?” The old man locked his eyes on Qian Jin. “It seems that there is a new noob. Boy, what’s your name?”

Qian Jin rapidly rose up, laid his hands above his heart, made a respectful bow and said, “My name is Qian Jin.”

“Qian Jin?” The old man opened his mouth, exposing the rest half teeth and smacked his lips. Then he flashed a light of contemplation from his two eyes of soybean size. “It seems I’ve heard of this name… oh right. The one who defeated Wei Buhuan in the party last night bore this name.”

Qian Jin nodded his head gently. “Yes, instructor.”

Oh?” The old man drawled and looked Qian Jin up and down with his narrow eyes, “bloodline Warrior? Or an ordinary one? Well, those who win the top forty rankings in the Hundred Battle Ranking List care about nothing but personal combat power. I’m afraid they haven’t even heard of the names of many of the illustrious generals.

The name of the famous generals? Qian Jin grinned. “Instructor, will we be rewarded if we can recite their names?”
