Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 321

Chapter 321: Stealing Technique

It had been two days. Right after Saloo Bard woke up every morning, he would instantly run to Swit Lei’s laboratory and watched the fire with him.

He had thought Qian Jin as a master in his trade! Who would have expected he would be taken away by the Pharmacy Grandmaster Zo Surry.

Every time Saloo Bard thought about it, he could not help but once again heave a sigh! He was such a coward! He should have stopped them…

“Can I come in?”

The emotionless eyes suddenly lightened up! Saloo Bard had been dreaming about this voice during these two days! Was this a dream? Was Qian Jin really here?

Swit Lei looked up blankly at Qian Jin, and suddenly he slapped Saloo Bard who was forced to span around in a circle.

Qian Jin was shocked! What the fu*k? Did all Mystic Pharmacists in the Zence Empire slap to greet each other? That was a little… Could he skip it?

If he couldn’t… Qian Jin thought for a while and decided not to tell any Mystic Pharmacist that he had learned something about this subject.

“Ouch!” It actually took Saloo Bard a little time to sit on the ground after the spinning! He then yelled, “Swit Lei, you son of a bitch! What did you do?”

“To see if it is a dream or not.”

“Fu*k! Why didn’t you slap yourself?”

“I’m afraid of pain.”

Hearing what the two Mystic Pharmacists were talking about, Qian Jin finally figured it out that slapping was definitely not the way of greeting used in this industry.

“You… you’re here.”

Listening to the respectful tone, Qian Jin could not help but feel a little awkward…He was even not in his twenties… Well, technically, he was if he added the time he had spent in the Endless World… But this elder Mystic Pharmacist in front was talking to him as if speaking to a senior…

“I…Uh…” Qian Jin bowed, nodded then walked into the room. He looked at the shelves piled with all kinds of medicine. “Can I borrow something from you?”

The two Mystic Pharmacists quickly made the way. “Whatever you need!”

Qian Jin felt terribly sorry seeing the two elders being so polite and generous, so he stopped and asked, “The Mystic Potion you are making for the Pam Family, can I do something to help?”

Swit Lei was frozen on the spot! He felt so thrilled that he almost passed out! While before he could

“What are you doing?”

“Seeing if it’s a dream.”

Haha! Saloo Bard blew his palm and give the words back to Swit Lei!

Without time to argue with that bastard, Swit Lei covered his face with one hand and took out half piece of paper from a metal box with another. Before Qian Jin asked a question, Saloo Bard rushed into a room and came back with another half.

The two halves were fitted back together and a complete recipe was there. In fact, the two Mystic Pharmacists had already known it so well that they could repeat it in their dreams. They only took this confidential information out to show that Qian Jin had their full trust!

Qian Jin took the drawing and examined it with all his attention. Once again, he proved to himself that the story about the man who created the altar was fabricated. It seemed that there had been a wise leader in the history of the family who had recruited a truly great Mystic Pharmacy Grandmaster. The Second Altar, as well as the Mystic Potion, must have been produced by that grandmaster!

The recipe wasn’t long. But a full understanding of it needed more time.

After Qian Jin read through it, he found that some questions that had bothered him for a very long time were solved!

“That’s it!” Qian Jin gently nodded. “If it wasn’t for this drawing being wrong, I wouldn’t have found out the problem! No wonder Eulalia always said there was something wrong! I see!”

Reading that piece of paper, again and again, Qian Jin forgot why he was here! He sat there motionless while the two elders watched him in anticipation…

One hour … Two hours … Five hours …

Qian Jin stretched himself in front of this problematic formula… Eulalia would definitely laugh herself to death at this… The craft, as well as the container, was not the best choice…

“Thank God this potion hasn’t killed anyone.” Rubbing his waist, Qian Jin stood up. “But whoever created it was a genius!”

“It…” Swit Lei crossed his index fingers and murmured in an awed voice like a newly wedded maid. “It actually killed some people!”

The rubbing action suddenly stopped! What the hell! Thank God he hadn’t fed this to Duren Burg! Otherwise, that silly boy might have been sent to the Stars to be a companion for Rollin! But the two would make a perfect cheeky couple there!

Saloo Bard nodded with a rigid face. “Well, it didn’t kill many! Just a dozen…”

Qian Jin was completely speechless! Could the Mystic Pharmacists be more insensitive? Just a dozen? It sounded like the rumor Qian Jin had once heard of… It was said that an associate of them once secretly put a newly-made potion into a well to see if it worked… It turned out that the whole village was poisoned to death…

When the murderer was sent to court, he said something that Mystic Pharmacists applauded but folks revolted and the story was widespread even now…

[They were just some civilians! What’s the big deal? As long as it’s helpful to the research…I can kill thousands and millions…]

Just because of these absurd remarks, the murderer was deemed as a heretic and almost eradicated in Zence territory. If not for the Demons and Barbarians who had backed up the industry, the Mystic Pharmacists would have been banished from the Zence Empire for disciplinary punishment….

The civilians, without doubt, all prohibited their children to step into this inhumane profession where there were only murderers and lunatics…

“Thank God I am not one of you!” Qian Jin tapped his chest in lingering fear! As a warrior, he valued and respected lives…

Swit Lei sighed at Qian Jin’s reaction. “What a pity you can’t get over this ridiculous prejudice! You could have become a great Mystic Pharmacist and made your name heard throughout the history… It is the Pharmaceuticals that are to be blamed… I suggest you give up that God damn thing…”

Qian Jin was shocked! “How could you Mystic Pharmacists make such a false countercharge?” He thought.

Saloo Bard glided forward, trying to smooth things over. He was afraid that Qian Jin might quit at such a critical moment… A Mystic Pharmacist often had a worse temper than a Pharmacist…Wearing two hats on his head, Qian Jin might be more difficult to deal with…

“Then shall we begin?” Qian Jin grabbed a pen on the table and started doing some calculation about the materials they needed and the odds they might encounter…

The two elders looked at Qian Jin blankly… Who had this young man learned Mystic Pharmaceutical from? They hadn’t even heard of the things Qian Jin was talking about…

Swit Lei quickly woke up from the shock and once again turned his eyes to the piece of paper in Qian Jin’s hand. Everyone had their own secrets… And secrets deserved respect… Anyone who intended on digging up secrets of others would not end up well.

Discussion, production, experiment…

These simple procedures cost Qian Jin a whole day in the end. Looking at the young man who was busy performing miracles, Swit Lei felt he had lived his life for nothing! This young man had taught him a lot just using this single formula…

With a face full of worship, Saloo Bard looked at Qian Jin as if he were the sun in the sky. A talk with Qian Jin had enlightened him! He had figured out the puzzles he hadn’t been able to during the last decade. It was highly possible that he could secure himself a place on this subject for the years to come.

After a deep breath, Qian Jin put 40 test tubes onto the shelf. There were 40 possibilities! He still needed time to reach a final conclusion! But now, he had to go to the Ancient Desert Sea.

Looking up at the ceiling, Qian Jin was glad that they were in a basement with a solid structure. Otherwise, the house might have been blown up already.

There had been 75 explosions in one night! Due to six of them, certain corners of the roof had caved in and the two elders had all been buried. But right after they crept from the ruins, they devoted themselves to the experiment!

“Well, now I’ll leave the rest to you.” Qian Jin wiped the sweat from his forehead and yawned. Since the “kidnapping”, he hadn’t slept for three days!

“No problem.” Swit Lei patted his chest and assured Qian Jin. “We can do it!”

No problem? Qian Jin shook his head with worry. They even didn’t care about their lives! He had no more to say.
