Big Shot Little Jiaojiao Breaks Her Persona Again

Chapter 106 - Alright, Brother Quan Will Protect You

Chapter 106: Alright, Brother Quan Will Protect You

It was coincidentally time for dinner. Chi Jiao cooked two bowls of noodles and brought them back to her room to eat with him.

It was a simple dish of egg and tomato noodles.

This was Quan Jue’s first time entering a girl’s room.

The white room was decorated with dolls, making it dreamy and beautiful. The air was also filled with a faint sweet smell.

It was a perfume that Chi Jiao had personally created. Placing it in the room could eliminate all other odors.

Quan Jue sat cross-legged in front of the small, round coffee table with his eyes lowered. He did not look around.

“I just came back from the police station,” Chi Jiao said after taking a bite of noodles.

Quan Jue’s grip on his chopsticks tightened as he looked up at her.

Then, Chi Jiao told him a simplified story of what happened today.

Of course, she didn’t talk about abusing Jin Yiming.

Which girl didn’t want to be the little angel in their hunk’s heart? She couldn’t ruin her own image.

Therefore, she only said that she sprayed chili water at Jin Yiming.

It was normal for girls to carry chili water for self-defense.

After hearing her story, Quan Jue frowned deeply. “That was too risky.”

His tone was tense.

If one looked closely, it wasn’t difficult to notice the nervousness hidden behind his expression.

“In such a situation, I couldn’t ponder so much.” Chi Jiao pretended to sigh. “Who would have thought that Teacher Jin was actually a homicidal maniac? That’s so terrifying.”

Quan Jue’s brows were still furrowed. “You have to learn to protect yourself in the future. Don’t force yourself if you encounter any dangerous situations.”

“Brother Quan will protect me in the future.” Chi Jiao suddenly smiled at him. “With Brother Quan around, I don’t have to worry too much.”

Looking at the innocent smile on her face, Quan Jue wondered if she was too simple-minded to be so thick-skinned.

All of a sudden…

He chuckled softly as well.

“Alright, Brother Quan will protect you.”

Suddenly teased by him, Chi Jiao blinked in disbelief.

What did she hear?

Quan Jue picked up the poached egg and placed it in her bowl. Pretending to be nonchalant, he asked, “Is the man who sent you back from the Chi family?”

Chi Jiao looked at the poached egg in her bowl. While thinking that Brother Quan didn’t like to eat poached eggs, she shook her head and said, “He’s not a member of the Chi family. He’s my brother from my god grandfather’s side.”

Quan Jue nodded indifferently. “You guys seem close.”

Chi Jiao’s cheeks puffed up like a hamster as she ate. “It’s purely a sibling relationship.”

It was a simple sentence to explain things clearly to him.

“You don’t have to explain yourself to me.” Quan Jue looked away.

“Oh, okay.” Chi Jiao suppressed her laughter as she looked at his awkward reaction.

The Quan Jue she knew was this awkward and even a little lovesick.

Interesting.

After eating, Quan Jue went to the attic to get something.

Shortly after, he came down with a luggage bag. Chi Jiao was standing on the second floor, waiting for him. When she saw him dragging a large luggage bag, she went forward and asked, “Brother Quan, do you really not plan to return in the future?”

“I think so,” Quan Jue said indifferently.

This time, he had already taken away everything that belonged to him. He would probably never return.

“It’s alright. I can look for you,” Chi Jiao said with a smile.

Quan Jue didn’t speak. Instead, he dragged his luggage down the stairs, with Chi Jiao following behind him.

They had just reached the first floor when they heard a commotion from the corridor.

Someone had returned.
