Chapter 1499

Chapter 1499: Bloody Nailisi (Part 2)

Nailisi’s combat prowess was higher than that of Rafel, but Rafel was familiar with commanding armies in large scale battles, and Nailisi was more suited to act as a weapon. Rafel was the one in charge, and there was always Jason looming above, so Nailisi did not dare to defy either of their orders.

The Winged Skull had nothing to say about the arrangement. Saleen let both the Winged Skull and Nailisi back onto Myers Mainland, yet the Winged Skull still did not feel safe. They felt as if there was a sword hanging above their head, which could have fallen at any given moment.

Rafel went to select her troops. Nailisi followed gleefully, but the Winged Skull stopped her. He then said to Nailisi, “You don’t have to be in a hurry when the battle starts. This is only round two. There are tens of billions of god creatures in the Lord of Glory’s divine kingdom, you…”

“I know, I’ll do my best this time. If too many people on Myers Mainland end up dead, master wouldn’t be happy,” Nailisi said.

Wars always came with casualties, but mages were leaning towards taking the fight at higher levels to solve that problem. If every single battle were to see deaths in the hundreds of thousands all the time, a plane’s power would have grown increasingly weak as time passed.

Low-level warriors also served as the foundation of a plane. If all living beings in a plane were to end up dead, then the professionals would have lost their backing as well.

That was something that had to do with a plane’s power of the Source. Every single living being actually carried a part of a plane’s Source power. As such, when gods amassed believers, they actually absorbed a bit of Source powers as well, which caused the downfall of a plane.

While Nailisi had been a loose cannon with her way of doing things at times, she nonetheless knew what mattered to Saleen.

If a plane’s Source power were to all be taken away by a god, then it would have spelled doom for said plane, and no powerful being could have continued to exist on it either.

If the mages were to ignore that, then all planes would have ended up being taken by the gods. By then, the only way out would be to become a god’s believer, joining a divine kingdom, and spending one’s days singing praises to a god.

The Winged Skull saw Nailisi’s eyes brimming and determined, so they did not say anything more to advise her. The Winged Skull then told Nailisi, “Be careful, then. Don’t get into fights with the Lord of Glory if you run into him. You’re still no match for him.”

Nailisi smirked and said, “I’m better at running than anything. Do you not know that I’m an imp? Back in the demon plane, the first thing we learned after we were born was how to run.”

The Winged Skull shook their head, exasperated. They knew well that Nailisi would not have run. If the Lord of Glory were to actually show up, she would have at least attempted to fight him once so as to discover what the Lord of Glory was actually capable of.

Rafel quickly assembled an army consisting of 50000 flying units. The Winged Skull, Nailisi, and 200 metal angels were added to the force. Rafel took the Violet Angel, who took the form of a golden dragon and went to take the lead at the forefront.

There were no fortresses outside the gates, only large camps being set up one after another.

When Rafel charged forward somewhere near a large camp, thousands of angels took flight and surrounded them. She was about to beat the War Drum of Fear when she was targeted by two angels who were over a dozen meters tall. Rafel swung her Inferno Spear about and fought those two. The War Drum of Fear was left on the back of the Violet Angel, which the Violet Angel then went on to beat.

However, the effects that time were lackluster. Tens of thousands of holy masters chanted prayers in the camps of the divine army. White holy light shrouded the place, and the power of the War Drum of Fear was unable to make it into the camps.

But then again, the low-level warriors within the camps did not dare to come out and fight as well. The War Drum of Fear was not some very high-level equipment, and it was definitely not a godly item. However, it had a very large area-of-effect, and anything below level nine would have been affected.

The angels up in the sky were actually also affected; it was just that they were still able to fight despite the influence.

“Bones, aren’t we…” Nailisi began to speak.

Nailisi pointed at the divine kingdom’s gates. The Winged Skull shook their head and said, “A million.”

“Alright then, a million each it is.” Nailisi was supposed to help Rafel out at that moment and take out the two archangels instead of going off on her own.

The Winged Skull knew what Nailisi intended to do right from the start and that there was no stopping her. As such, they simply set a number, which meant that she needed to stop after killing a million creatures in the divine kingdom.

While that number looked massive, there were hundreds of millions of angels gathering behind those gates. One large scale magic spell could have easily killed thousands.

The Lord of Glory underestimated the power of Myers Mainland, and the vanguards sent were comparatively weak.

The only way the Winged Skull could think of to put a leash on Nailisi was to limit the number of her kills.

Nailisi went on to double said number, and the Winged Skull was able to do nothing but go along with it. It was fortunate that they were not fighting alone. The Winged Skull summoned huge numbers of spirits while Nailisi commanded a massive amount of demons from her Purgatory of the Devils.

“Heh… Haahh!”

Nailisi shouted excitedly and took her devil form in the air, charging into the divine kingdom’s gates. The Winged Skull brandished their Reaper Scythe and followed closely behind.

Nailisi’s devil form at present no longer had too many things that looked out of place. It simply looked like a supreme demon who had been enlarged. There were two horns on her head, and she wore armor that looked as though it was as thick as castle walls.

The weapon in her hand was no longer Grey Memory, but a huge longsword. The height of her devil form neared 30 meters at present. The length of her sword was slightly longer than her devil form, which measured in at about 45 meters. According to the classifications of such a weapon relative to her size, she looked as if she was holding a horse-cutter sword.

That greatsword in her hand was the first weapon she crafted on her sword, which was actually an enlarged version of the Sword of Rules. There were 24 rules on the Sword of Rules, which, when infused with 12-dimensional metal by Nailisi, expanded to the size it was currently. The amount of wrought gold added was massive.

That golden, shimmering greatsword was divided into 24 areas, with every area representing a power of rules. Nailisi was finally able to use the power infused within that huge Sword of Rules, which was why she was so eager to kill her way into the divine kingdom. She wanted to teach the Lord of Glory a lesson.

The Lord of Glory might have been more powerful than she was, but he definitely did not have a weapon that was as insane as hers.

That weapon was a piece of equipment that could have only been overwhelmed by superiority in level. That meant that beings of levels below Nailisi would have had a hard time running away from her weapon unless the enemy had something even more powerful.

That huge Sword of Rules was brandished, and Nailisi brought it down hard and fast on the angels that had begun charging at her as soon as she had entered the gates.

The Winged Skull had gotten excited as well. Military camps practically enveloped the whole area right behind the gates, so much so that the gates actually looked too small and narrow in comparison. If they were to all attempt to rush outside at the same time after gathering there, it would have taken an untold number of days.

The Winged Skull’s hands felt itchy after seeing so many enemies packed into one place.

They put the Reaper Scythe away, after discovering that the weapon was suppressed by the Lord of Glory’s divine kingdom, making it difficult to be wielded properly.

The Winged Skull switched to the meteor hammer. They then spread the bone wings behind them, and with a whoosh, sent themselves several hundred meters away.

Nailisi brought her sword down, and a bloodied path was carved out before her.

Hundreds of angels were quickly torn to shreds by Nailisi’s sword aura, which was filled with chaotic power of rules. If the one before her happened to be the Lord of Glory, that slash would not have done anything, as there were too many openings in it. However, the enemies were but angels at around level nine, and there were actually god creatures below level seven.

Those were an army of servants, which served as bruisers for the angels.

The slash from Nailisi made short work of them.

The Winged Skull swung their meteor hammer around and carved out the ground within a diameter of over 200 meters around them. Saleen had modified the chains on the meteor hammer, which had been a godly item on its own. Explosions continued to happen within the meteor hammer, and the intense currents were bursting from within carried metal shrapnel with them.

The metal shrapnel was so intensely sharp that not even sword aura of golden grand swordmasters would have been able to withstand them.

The Winged Skull felt as if they were still going too slowly. If they were to stay in the divine kingdom for too long, they would draw the attention of powerful beings within the divine kingdom. It was difficult to tell if the Lord of Glory would have shown up by then. Even a double would have been too much for the Winged Skull.

Both of them were fighting in the divine kingdom of others after all, which meant that the Lord of Glory’s power within would have at least been enhanced by half a rank, or even one whole rank more.

The Winged Skull summoned 1000 golden skeletons. Those golden skeletons all wore attribute-less armors and were able to ignore suppression from divine arts on spirits altogether. They all brandished their weapons, shooting tens of thousands of bone arrows with longbows first, before switching to giant lances and charging in.

It was worth noting that the divine kingdom’s terrain was perfect for cavalry charges. All golden skeletons rode mutated nightmares, which sported speeds exceeding that of a sorcerer’s flight ability.

All 1000 golden skeletons charged, carving a wide path out of the enemies before them.

The Winged Skull gave up trying to conserve anything and summoned a skeletal dragon, which charged at the camps of god creatures. The Winged Skull had not been mastering the crafting method of that skeletal dragon for long. They only had one that was pieced together, with abilities comparable to level 12. That skeletal dragon was rather weak in defense, yet very formidable in offense.

The Winged Skull was fighting a large-scale battle on their side, but Nailisi was reluctant to summon her demons. She held the greatsword in her hand and went about slaughtering enemies in the camps of the god creatures.

A black shadow tore up the camps of the divine army. Blood flowed like rivers wherever Nailisi tread.

The Sword of Rules was practically invincible when used against low-level warriors. Regardless of the armor they wore, the shield they used, or the divine defense art they cast, anything below level 12 appeared as harmless as paper before her weapon.

Nailisi knew that she might have ended up attracting the Lord of Glory’s attention. However, she was having too much fun to care about that, and she was unable to stop herself.

She had never had that much fun since she had become Saleen’s follower. That was her demonic blood raging. That was the inherent nature of a Luoluokaluo.

She brought extremely formidable power to bear, and became a living terror to her enemies on the battlefield.

The blood-soaked Luoluokaluo, the smirking Nailisi, killed her way all the way to the deeper reaches of the divine kingdom. Her armor was over two meters-thick, yet it felt light and nimble, not affecting her movements in any way.

Countless attack divine spells and curses rained down onto her armor, with most of them rendered utterly useless. Any that would have worked simply scraped a thin layer off of the armor.

A beam of white light flew in Nailisi’s direction like a meteor deep within the divine kingdom. General class angels from the divine army had finally made a move.
