While they were waiting for the woman, Zhao Ying and Gu Jin suddenly showed up.
They looked very nervous.
“There are a lot of zombies outside. I don’t know what brought them here.”
Since it was dark, the zombies were really close by the time they noticed them!
Li Ran found out that some zombies had already managed to enter the place.
Wang Gang rushed towards a zombie that was closing in on Li Ran and smashed its head with his fist!
After that, he quickly dealt with three or four more other zombies and closed the door.
They were in a very poor position. Wang Gang shouted, “They haven’t gathered yet. We need to get out before they do. We’ll die if we’re stuck here.”
The woman was fully dressed. After helping her up, Li Ran said in a loud voice, “We have to get out now. If not, we’ll be doomed.”
With a weak voice, the woman said, “That doctor has a special ability. Zombies would not approach him. That’s why we’ve been following him for all this time. Since he’s dead, the power is probably lost.”
Li Ran was quite impressed by the power that was described. However, there was nothing they could do but to move forward.
The door was shaking violently and Wang Gang was conflicted.
Should he open the door or not? If he did, they would most likely be killed by the horde of zombies. If he did not, the zombies would break down the door sooner or later.
None of the outcomes were satisfactory.
Li Ran frowned and clenched her teeth. Then, she shouted, “We need to get out! We can’t stay here. There must be a reason why so many zombies suddenly gathered.”
“This door won’t last long. All of you stay back. I’ll open the door and take care of them first.”
Before taking a few steps back, Li Ran took out her long knife and handed it to Wang Gang. He was very strong, so he would definitely be able to handle close combat.
However, as soon as the door opened, everything went out of control.
Zombies swarmed inside. Their faces were either ferocious or completely unrecognizable.
It was insane.
Zhao Ying covered Gu Zhao’s eyes once again.
Meanwhile, Gu Jin stood in front of Zhao Ying. He was ready to protect her from any zombies that came her way.
Wang Gang kept slashing away with the long knife, but it was not a solution.
Li Ran took out her gun and started shooting at the zombies. She wished that she had a submachine gun!
It was a mistake to not buy more guns and bullets from the system’s mall in the mysterious space.
Before long, she had used up all her bullets. However, the zombies kept pouring in, as if there was no end to them.
Gu Zhao pushed away Zhao Ying’s hand and said softly, “Mom, I’m not afraid.”
Even though he said that, Zhao Ying could not bear to let her child see such a bloody scene.
There were corpses all over the ground. Some of their heads were even decapitated. Zhao Ying ended up vomiting.
Gu Zhao quickly patted Zhao Ying’s shoulder. He was really worried,
“Mom, do you want to drink some water? I’ve always kept a bottle with him.”
As he said that, he took out half a bottle of water and handed it to Zhao Ying.
The act flooded Zhao Ying’s eyes with tears. She did not take the bottle of water. Instead, she caressed the little boy’s head apologetically.
“Zhao Zhao, I’m sorry. Mommy is really useless.”
Gu Zhao shook his head. He told ZhaoYing that it was alright and she did not have to feel guilty. Then, he looked at Wang Gang and sighed.
“I feel like big brother won’t be able to hold on much longer.”
