Chapter 100: Unhappy

After checking that her breath was normal, Yang Shao let out a sigh of relief. At least she was fine.

“Let’s find a place to rest. She has the power to control water. It’s unbelievable.”

Most people only had one ability, no matter what type they were. There were all sorts of abilities, but it was rare to see a person with two of them.

However, they had seen it with their own eyes. There was no reason to deny it.

Wang Gang paused for a moment, then he said calmly, “It’s nothing strange. After all, she was a woman who dared to travel alone. Ordinary people without any abilities would not even dream of doing what she did.”

Yang Shao curled his lips and smiled helplessly.

“What you said makes sense. She’s really full of surprises.”

Then, he gazed out of the window.

This world was no longer normal.

The rest of the people in the car were relatively silent. They were mentally exhausted.

Even Wang Gang was drained.

He found a hidden corner by the roadside and stopped. After that, he turned off the car’s headlights and engine.

Their surroundings fell into darkness.

Wang Gang said softly, “It’s too crowded the car. We have to sleep in a sitting position. There’s nothing we can do about it. It’s safer this way. Once the night is over, we’ll look for a safer place.”

No one had any objections. Wang Gang took the initiative to stay up and keep watch. Of course, they would take shifts and he would swap out later.

The place he found was relatively safe. There were a few zombies wandering around but Wang Gang took care of them.

Finally, daylight dawned!

Li Ran was the first to be awoken. She felt somewhat uncomfortable but forced herself to get up.

After looking around, she realized that they were in a new area. She was also in the passenger seat.

‘Wasn’t I driving at the beginning?’

However, she did not think too much about it once she saw that everyone was safe. Li Ran heaved a sigh of relief.

She turned around and saw Wang Gang, who could barely keep his bloodshot eyes open. It was obvious that he was extremely tired.

When Wang Gang saw that Li Ran was awake, he was relieved.

“You’re finally awake. Everyone was so worried about you.”

The volume of his voice was very low because he knew that the rest of the people were still sleeping.

Even so, it managed to wake the woman up. She looked at them and yawned. Then, she thanked them in a low voice, “Thank you very much for saving me. I was supposed to die, but you guys gave me a second chance at living. I can’t express how grateful I am.”

Li Ran chuckled.

“As long as a person is alive, they’ll be able to find hope. Take it slow and try not to overthink.”

“Yes, you’re right. If there’s anything that I can do to help, just tell me and consider it done.”

The woman paused for a moment and added, “Oh right, my name is Lin Hua but I don’t really like it. Call me Xiao Hua instead.”

Li Ran nodded and smiled.

“Okay, my name is Li Ran.”

After that, Xiao Hua introduced herself to the rest of the group.

When she learned of Gu Jin and Zhao Ying’s names, Xiao Hua’s eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her hands.

After blinking her eyes for a long time, she finally said, “I’m… I’m Zhao Ying’s fan. I didn’t even recognize her earlier. Her skin used to be so fair.”

“Wait, is he your child?”

Zhao Ying nodded and Xiao Hua covered her mouth again. She had a gratified look on her face.

“Sigh, it was my dream to meet them, but meeting in such conditions is just a shame…”

Li Ran raised her head and smiled at her.

“Shouldn’t you be happy? You’re alive and so is your idol.”
