Another Stupid Isekai

878 T.D.o.N.B: The head and the message

– Do I have to ask the obvious question? – I asked him.

– If you think that I didn’t think about backtracking where the letter came from, then you are wrong. Whoever did this, they got rid of every possible trace – Blue informed me.

– I don’t care about the conclusions you came to. I can get to my own – I said to him.

– It came from the messaging hub. One of the delivery boys brought it. Before you ask, the message got sent to them from aliens, so good luck with tracking that – he said, rolling his eyes.

– Aliens, huh? – I asked, more myself than him.

I already was suspicious of Genusha Sab Ar Irati Ashemi back then. He, after all, didn’t get the seed he wanted. We stripped him from having one. The revenge was understandable. He couldn’t take the seed himself because we would find out, but he could give it to somebody we all hated. Blue. In terms of revenge, I would grade it ten out of ten.

– Yes, aliens. From your face, I presume you got the answer you were looking for. In my defense, I have to say that it was handled to me on a silver platter, so I took it. My country didn’t have proper access to the device. All I wanted was to give my people equal chance as everybody else got – he explained.

Obviously, it was a lie. He tried to hide behind his own country, to justify his schemes. With this guy, everything was about power. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in the next ten, twenty, or even fifty, he would take over the entirety of Japan, and demand to be called another emperor or something of this sort.

Blue was cancer. Cancer that grew on Arc, but then he decided to change the host and grew on the entirety of Japan. He needed to be removed.

I was no surgeon, but I was definitely good at killing things.

– You got what you wanted, and in exchange, you promised me freedom – he pointed out. – I don’t know what our beef is supposed to be, but I’ll stick to my own place. You will never hear of me again – he assured.

– I know about ‘Wolf warriors’. I know about Benjamin Beaulieu and Wulf Schwab, but what is even more important, I know this whole thing came from you. It wasn’t their idea. It was you, who wanted to overthrow Will in Arc to take over the city – I pointed out.

– I don’t know what you’re talking about – he said chuckling like I said something funny.

– Yeah, you do. You do, very well – I shook my index finger, smiling at him. – So this, plus the fact that I lied, about letting you go, means I’m not letting you go. You are going to die, and I’m gonna fucking enjoy it.

I said, then I gave him the creepiest smile I could possibly muster. I used ‘Eyes of the void’ and ‘ Shadow fusion’ to make my lips open from ear to ear as a lot of smoke came out. I didn’t want to hear his screams, so I blocked his windpipe with ‘Telekinesis’ and then tore him apart. Bit by bit.

It was bloody. It was horrible. It was justified. At least to me.

He had incredible regenerative powers, so it took some time, and in the end, reacquired me to use some fire, but he died eventually.

I took his head after making sure there was no way he could regrow from it, then returned to his office in the mysterious underground city.

I put the head on the chair, then went to the computer, but after opening it up I found out that there was a password protecting the damn thing.

– Fucking hell – I cursed to myself, then I grabbed the flash drive.

After all, it was useful to find out what he and the Japanese government were planning. I didn’t really care if they had the sapling for themselves. Many others actually did. But I very much cared if they would keep messing with Arc. It probably was initiated by Blue, so after his death, there was a big chance it would stop, but I needed to be sure.

I jumped back to Loistavadvaar to buy myself a piece of paper and a marker to write, then I returned. I didn’t write by hand, but rather used ‘Telekinesis’.

“I don’t care that you have the sapling, but the information about the seed has to remind a secret. If it starts spreading I will know who to blame. Enjoy the city, but keep your mouths shut, or I’ll come for you too.

You probably are going to think that William is behind this, but he is not. I’m somebody else. Somebody who is not afraid to tear you apart and throw the fragments around so anybody could see. Keep your part of the deal, and we will never meet. Don’t, and I’ll find you no matter where you try to hide. You won’t even know where I came from”

I placed the piece of paper leaning against the head, then ‘Shadow walked’ back to the borrowed house. It was the middle of the night. I took a shower, then just sat on the couch, as if nothing happened.

Well… I did pour myself a glass of something stronger. I also thought a lot, but I didn’t show anything, just waiting for my family to get up, so we could eat breakfast, and then show ourselves publicly.

After all the questioning was inevitable, so a good alibi would be extremely helpful. I had no doubts that at first, they would aim at every possible target because they would have no idea what happened, but with time, they could reach out to, for example, the US, and there I was already known, thanks to my actions from years ago.

It was just a matter of time before they figured this out. Probably a few weeks. So there was no need to make any changes to our plans for the trip. I was expecting complications, but not so major that would force me to make some changes to our plans.
