Almighty Summoner System

Ban beckoned for Eva to sit at a lotus position with her combat form. 

He then gives her the defective Beast Core for her to absorb it using the same method they used before. 

Eva placed the defective Beast Core in her tiny lap. The defective Beast Core was smaller than the Lord Grade Beast Core she absorbed before but it's still massive in size. Eva could only place it on her lap and it almost covered her stomach area. 

Ban went behind Eva and also sat in the same position as her. 

"Let's start, little Eva!" He said. 

They both closed their eyes at the same time as they started chanting the mantra that the Book of Techniques has provided. 

Before, the System said that Ban only needs to cheer little Eva to absorb and evolve successfully but he chooses to do it together with her now. 

He thought that the System might have just been messing with him at that time. 

And just as he expected, the moment he decided that the System interjected that he's doing the right thing. Apparently, it also helps Eva to absorb the Beast Core faster this way. 

However, unlike before, Ban could tell that the absorption rate has definitely lowered. 

Previously, Eva only needed around two hours before the Lord Grade Beast Core cracked and became useless. However, it has already been an hour, and the defective Beast Core on her lap still shows no sign of cracking. 

Ban was very concerned at this as he thought that it was somehow affected due to him also doing the same action.

Ban was taken aback by what the System had said, but he could only accept it as he could not do anything about it anyways. 

Ban closed his eyes again and continued chanting the mantra with Eva. 

A few hours had passed in the blink of an eye and Eva and Ban were so absorbed with their chanting that they didn't notice that their absorption rate had actually become even faster. 

Unbeknownst to the both of them, they actually reached a state called, 'Perfect Harmony'. It is a state where the Summoner and his or her Summon became in perfect sync with each other.

A very rare state that only a handful of Summoners can achieve. 

At this point, the Summoner and the Summon can benefit from what the other one is doing. In Ban and Eva's case, it was only Eva who was trying to absorb the Beast Core before while Ban only wanted to recite and do the mantra along with her. 

However, due to the Perfect Harmony State that they achieved, Ban would now benefit from Eva's absorption. Even Ban who was deep in meditation and recitation felt that something was entering or something was getting slowly absorbed by his body.

After a few hours of absorption and Perfect Harmony, Ban and Eva finally opened their eyes as they felt that the absorption had already stopped and they could no longer absorb anything. 

Ban clenched his fist and he somehow felt that he had become stronger than before even though his rank stayed the same at F-Apprentice Rank. Eva also did the same and felt the same way. 

Ban took a glance at the defective Beast Core and he could clearly tell that its color had become pale compared to before. Although there were no signs of cracking, Ban still felt that Eva made progress due to its color fading away. 

There was blinking '!' at the corner of Ban's eyes and just like before, he immediately inspected what it was. 

[Congratulations! You have attained the state, Perfect Harmony with your Contracted Beast, Eva!

Can be achieved again by moving in sync with your Contracted Beast Eva for some time.

You and your Contracted Beast, Eva, will share the same pain and the same gain.

Ban scrunched his eyebrows in confusion while reading the row of text in front of his eyes. 

He accessed his status profile and see if anything had changed but it still looks the same. 

"Is this the reason why I felt stronger?" He uttered in a low voice. He felt grief after knowing that he might have taken a portion of what Eva was about to absorb. 

However, the System hurriedly explained that it is not the case and the energy he absorbed came from the Beast Core and not from Eva. 

"Sigh! So I unknowingly absorbed a portion of it? That's even worse…" 

Ban could only sigh in defeat and accept the truth. It was good and all that he became stronger, but he thought it was quite a waste this way. 

He will be able to rank up along with Eva due to her title. So the sooner Eva ranks up towards E-Elite Rank, the sooner he would also achieve the same height. 

Ban could only ignore it and as he thought of never doing it again in the future. However, the System immediately reprimanded him that what he's about to do was idiotic.

[The Host is an Idiot! Do you think there are no repercussions of ascending ranks without properly consolidating it? The System recommends the Host to continue doing the same to stabilize his Rank before thinking of ascending with the help of the Contracted Beast, Eva's, title.]

Ban was taken aback by the System's words and when he thought deeply about it, he could not help but nod his head in agreement. 

He did not think about it before as he was so focused on gaining strength and ascending his rank that he forgot what it would imply if his Rank kept on increasing without him being able to have the time to get used to it first.
