Almighty Summoner System

The next location was not very far from that mini mountain. With Tria's speed, they will be able to reach there in just five minutes. 

However, along the way, Ban spotted a yellow colored Beast below them. Upon gaining the knowledge of the Beast, Ban learned that it was called Yellow Armored Turtle. 

The Yellow Armored Turtle was not a big Beast. Its yellow shell only measured at most a foot. It was not fierce looking unlike other kinds of Beasts.

Although it was omnivore, it rarely ate meat and would mostly settle for fruits due to its inability to hunt other Beasts. They are also not that harmless as according to the Book of Techniques, it would flee if it saw any creatures, regardless if it was a Beast or a human in sight.

It was a Normal Grade X-Mortal Beast that also liked to live alone. Normal Grade and X-Mortal Rank was already its limit. Even the Book of Techniques said that it was impossible to raise its rank and grade past that point. Of course, the Book of Techniques did not account for Ban and his means on that calculation. Especially with Greed's Devour Skill in his possession. 

Ban descened near the turtle not because he wanted it for himself. Although he could raise its rank and grade with Devour ability, he knew that it would be pointless at the end. 

The reason why he stopped near it was because of the fruit it was trying to eat at the moment. 

It was a violet colored fruit the size of a fist. 

Strangely enough, the turtle had actually climbed atop the tree, its mouth taking a bite off of that violet fruit slowly. Unfortunately, maybe because of the hardness of the fruit, it was not able to tore even a little bit of flesh from it, leaving it frustrated.

The tree itself was not that high and thick, it was only around four meters and at most a diameter of 2 to 3 inches. Compared to the towering trees around it, this one could be said as a lackluster one.

Although it was also because of its small figure that it was able to hide in this forest for too long, before the turtle discovered it and then by Ban. If he was not traveling in the air, he was sure that he would also not be able to discover it as it was covered by thick bushes around it.

This tree was called Purmi. According to the information provided by the System, the Purmi Tree which only bore 1 Purmi Fruit every year has the effect of clearing the mind of those who eat it. In other words, become clear headed and think efficiently for 30 minutes. 

The effect itself was useless for humans, but for Beasts and Monsters, especially those unintelligent ones, this fruit was extremely helpful. 

For them, eating this fruit also equals to having an increase in their intelligence, due to the side effect of their mind becoming clear for 30 minutes. 

The Purmi Tree only bore 1 fruit every year. The tree in front of Ban had clearly just bore its very first fruit, seeing that there was no other fruit around it. 

Of course, this could also mean that someone has already harvested the first fruits, but Ban doubts it as the tree itself was still small, or in other words, it was still young.

Although he was not sure if someone had already discovered it, he would let this opportunity slip by, especially when the Purmi Fruit was already ripe, and was ready for the taking. 

As for the Yellow Armored Turtle, Ban did not take it to mind as he guessed that it just luckily stumbled upon this well-hidden tree. It must have sensed the usefulness of the fruit so it was now trying its luck to take a bite. 

Ban shook his head, if only the turtle came here half a year ago, when the fruit was still unripe, it might have a chance to taste the Purmi Fruit with half of its effects. It was because the Purmi Fruit has a strange property that made the skin of the fruit extremely hard the more ripe it was. 

Even Normal Grade E-Elite Rank Beasts and Monsters will have a hard time chewing it. While Elite Grade F-Apprentice Rank and Lord Grade F-Apprentice Rank might have a slight chance. 

Of course, this was not a problem for Ban. For the Book of Techniques to have the Purmi Fruits information, it was only natural that it also provided the information on how to properly cut and prepare it.

Ban jumped off of Tria's back and walked towards the thick bushes. Using the sword provided by Mario before, he easily cleaned the bushes, revealing the Purmi Tree and the Yellow Armored Turtle inside. 

The Yellow Armored Turtle who was still busy, trying to nibble the fruit, turned its head towards Ban at this moment. 

It was taken aback and its instinct of wanting to run away immediately kicked in. However, as if a voice inside its head was tempting it not to flee, the turtle actually steeled it's resolve as it glared at Ban, trying to protect the fruit that it had now hidden on its back. 

Ban was also taken aback upon seeing the turtle's behaviour. He knew that the knowledge given by the System about the turtle was not wrong, so its aggressive and protective behaviour it was showing now should also be new sight for the System and the Book of Techniques. 

Ban thought for a moment and came up with a possible reason. 

'It must have really sensed the importance of the fruit so it was not willing to give it up! Did it think that it might be able to rank up once it consumed the fruit?'

Ban nodded his head, thinking what he assumed was the truth. 

And in truth, what he assumed was really the truth. 

The turtle was already tired of its life, it wanted change. The opportunity was already presented right in front of it, how can the turtle abandon such opportunity?

'Well, too bad for you, I will be taking this fruit with me!'
