Almighty Summoner System

Chapter 214 - The Two Silhouettes

After the Monster Core shattered, Ban was naturally pulled out from that imaginary space.

At the same time, the two silhouettes on his back disappeared like smoke, it was as if they were not there from the first place.

At the same time, Ban frowned at the current situation.

"Why did it break so fast?"

It only took one hour and a half to absorb the Elite Rank Monster Core, although he already expected that it would be consumed swiftly as it was small compared to the one before, he estimated around five to seven hours before it would shatter.

He clenched his fist a few times and realized that there were no changes to his strength whatsoever. If there was, it would be something so small that even he could not sense the change.

It must be noted that the previous time he used the Core Manual, he immediately broke through to become an E-Elite Rank Summoner. Although it also helped that he was already at the peak of F-Apprentice Rank that time, considering that pattern, he should also at least feel stronger after consuming the Monster Core completely.

Ban thought about it but could not think of any possible reason, aside from the fact that as he was now at the E-Elite Rank, the essence he needed in order to feel the change might also be astronomical .

He ignored the matter for now as he observed Eva and Tria's current situation.

The F-Apprentice Rank Beast Core that Eva was using was already visibly dimmer than before.

Just like before, he also felt that he and Eva entered that Perfect Harmony State again, allowing his and her absorption speed to soar.

From his estimation, Eva should be able to consume all of the essence inside this Beast Core before morning came.

On the other hand, the Beast Core that Tria was using was still the same as before. There might be changes but it was miniscule to the point that it can be ignored. It was clear as day that she only managed to absorb a small amount of essence from the Beast Core after a few hours.

Ban was not surprised by it as only an hour and half had passed.

Her slow absorption speed was also attributed to the fact that she was only a Normal Grade of the X-Mortal Rank while the Beast Core she was trying to absorb was an Elite Grade and F-Apprentice Rank one.

The Beast Core's Grade and Rank was higher than her own, so it was natural that there would be some form of resistance while trying to absorb it.

It was a normal occurrence. All of them, including Eva, will also feel this resistance if they tried absorbing Beast Essences that were a grade or a rank higher than them.

It was also the reason why Ban did not think of absorbing that Elite Grade Quasi D-Master Rank Beast Core yet, as he knew that it would only be a waste of his time.

Of course, as an E-Elite Rank, he could still have a chance of absorbing that Beast Core, but just like Tria, his progress will become slower, absorbing Beast Core or Monster Core at the same level was more efficient than absorbing Cores that was a grade or a Rank higher.

Another reason why her progress was very slow was also due to the fact that she and Ban could not enter that Perfect Harmony State yet.

Although he wanted to, he realized that entering that Perfect Harmony State other than Eva was really difficult. He and Eva could activate it at will, but the same thing could not be said to Tria.

Ban also thought that it might be because she was just a newborn and did not experience any 'life and death' battle with him yet.

Ban closed his eyes and tried to feel if there were any changes to his body. A while later, he was disappointed as he did not see any particular changes to his body.

'Just where did that amount of essence go?'

As he could not wrap his head around the problem, Ban decided to ignore it for now. He planned to absorb the remaining Monster Core and if the same situation occurs, he will need to ask the System for some clarification.

Ban knew from a fact that the System knew his body well, even better than himself. There's no use in thinking something that he could not comprehend, it was better to leave something troublesome like that to the expert, System.

Ban took the remaining Monster Core and immediately chanted the Core Manual. He entered that imaginary space and started absorbing that blob of light again at extreme speed.

On the outside, Eva's absorption speed also becomes faster as the Perfect Harmony State activates on its own. The Perfect Harmony State also seems to want to connect to Tria, but it was as if there was a tiny wall blocking it, hence making the 'connection' fail in the end.

At the same time, the two silhouettes appeared on Ban's back again. If one observed carefully, one could tell that their 'silhouette' was a little more solid than before.

The first time they appeared, they were pale and transparent, but now, they became blacker and although they were still transparent, it was not as much as before.

Just like before, they still did not do anything in particular and just observed Ban while he was cultivating or absorbing the essence of the Monster Core.

However, if one observes carefully, and on a deeper level, they will be able to observe that the 'essence' that came from the Monster Core and that was supposed to be absorbed by Ban was actually floating towards the two of them.

Those strands of blob of light that Ban plucked in the imaginary realm were actually absorbed by the two silhouettes, leaving only a miniscule amount behind for Ban's nourishment.

From the 100% strands that he absorbed, only 2% remained for him to nourish his body, while the remaining 98% floated towards, and was absorbed by the two silhouettes like a sponge absorbing water.

An hour and a half later, Ban was pulled out from that imaginary space at the same time the Monster Core shattered into pieces.

He did not waste any time and immediately inspected his body. And to his dismay, the situation was almost the same as before.

"This… System, what's going on?"
