Almighty Summoner System

Chapter 145 - Looked Down By A Summon

Ban tilted his head after hearing what she said. Treating a Monster was also expensive? I thought it was only normal for an Adventurer to treat their injured Monster?

'Should I also consider becoming a Monster Doctor? After all, just like the evolution method, the Book of Techniques, All About Them also have a complete list of how to treat injuries and other illnesses of a Beasts and Monster…'

"Let's not talk about it for now… Let's focus on returning to the city first," Ban said.

"Okay, Leon..." Belle smiled as she carefully hugged her Red Falcon.

"Come over," Ban said.

Belle did not hesitate any further as she went beside the Rogue Red Termite. She could not help but feel nervous as she also heard about the Rogue Red Termite Beast from their Book of Techniques.

It does not look that different from the Rogue Red Termite Beast and Belle even thought for a second that it was actually really a Beast.

However, she later shook her head as she knew it was impossible.

According to what she knew, Beast and Monster of the same kind actually look the same. And according to her father, he actually read a book before regarding that matter, on why they have the same appearance and sometimes even names.

According to that book, the Monsters and Beasts origin was actually just the same. It just so happens that the day a Summoner was born, was also the day when his or her future Monster died as a Beast.

The Beast would then enter a process the book called as reincarnation and become someone's Monster that resides in their soul, waiting for the right moment to awaken again.

Of course, it was only a theory from the book and it was actually not proven true. Belle's father also just treated it as some sort of fairy tale.

Regardless, it was still an interesting theory and some even believed it as the truth.

No one actually knew the truth. Where the Monsters or Beasts really came from, but one thing was for certain that Belle's father wholeheartedly believed as well.

No matter if they are a Beast, Monster, a Human or any other Race out there, this world was all about Survival of the Fittest.

The Rogue Red Termite bent its insect legs to lower its body even further, as if afraid that Belle would not be able to climb over.

Seeing that, Belle's pride was actually hurt. Even though she was small, she knew that she would still be able to climb atop the Rogue Red Termite's back just fine.

She wanted to flare up but after recalling that it was Leon's Summon, she decided to let it go. Not that she could handle it anyway.

'Sigh! Even this Summon looks down on my height... Tsk!' Belle clicked her tongue in annoyance.

'Luckily, Leon does not think of me that way…' A slight smile appeared on her face as she consoled herself with that.

She did not know that it was actually 'Leon' who ordered the Rogue Red Termite to bend over for her to climb it easily.

Ban nodded his head after seeing that Belle's size actually fits perfectly on the Rogue Red Termite's thorax. He even wondered if the Rogue Red Termite was made just especially for her.

"Let's go!" Ban said as he immediately started running to the direction of the Eagle City.

At the same moment Ban and Belle departed. Four people wearing dark cloaks could be seen loitering around the area where Ban killed Delo.

Each of them was wearing a dark mask that conceals half of their face, making them unrecognizable.

Two of them were riding their own mount while the other two rode behind them.

They were the Dark Guild members that received Delo's distress signal earlier. Seeing that it came from one of their vital members, they hurried over to help him with his matters.

With their mounts, they arrived earlier than expected but it seems that they were still already late.

They took a glance around them and they could tell right away that a fierce battle had taken place around here earlier.

With how messy and out of place the mound of sands was, they thought that the Dark Guild member who sent the distress signal might have been fighting a strong Beast or a strong Summoner.

"It should be around here…" One of the Dark Guild members said while holding a black stone in his hand.

It was a Dark Stone just like what Delo used to send a distress signal earlier. Aside from sending distress signals, it also has another function, namely, a tracker.

The Dark Stone on his hand kept on shaking the closer they arrived near the area where Ban buried Delo.

And when they arrived atop of that area, the Dark Stone was now shaking violently, almost like it was experiencing its own earthquake inside of it.

The Dark Guild member who was holding the Dark Stone frowned after seeing the Dark Stone's reaction on his hand.

"Dig!" He ordered nonchalantly with a wave of his hand.

The two Dark Guild members riding in their backs immediately jumped off the mount and started digging right away.

A moment later, they finally dug out a Dark Stone a few meters away from the sand's surface.

However, only the Dark Stone was there while the holder of the Dark Stone was nowhere to be seen.

The two handed it over to the Dark Guild member holding the other Dark Stone earlier before they climbed over to ride the mount again.

"How was it?" The other one who owned a mount said with a feminine voice.

"Yes, he really used the Mad Stone…" He replied respectfully as he showed the cracks around the surface of the Dark Stone that Delo was using.

The female Dark Guild member nodded her head before saying, "Let's go and search for more clues on other areas."

The man holding the Dark Stone hesitated for a moment before he ordered his mount to follow behind them.

"No need to look for his body, it was already consumed by the Drought Worms…"
