You're My Only Star

Once dinner ended, Song Xing Xing lowered her head and looked at her slightly bulging tummy. It seemed that she had eaten too much and it was starting to make her uncomfortable.

A deep crease appeared at the space between her brow.

"Xing Xing, where are you going?" Liu Yu Sheng asked when she saw that her friend was heading in the opposite direction of their room. "Are you not going back?"

Song Xing Xing patted her stomach. "I ate too much. Yu Sheng, I'm going for a walk."

"Then, I'll go with you."

She waved her hand and spoke. "It's fine. It's fine. Yu Sheng, you go back to the room first. I'll just walk around here for a few minutes."

"There are a lot of people around here. What could happen?"

Liu Yu Sheng looked at the garden in front of them. The garden lamps were turned on and there were still a few couples walking around. Although this is a fishing village, the hotel was quite good and secure. It would be fine if Song Xing Xing took a walk alone on her own.

"Then, I'll go back first."

"Un." Song Xing Xing nodded. She watched her friend turned to head back to their room before she headed the other way. As she walked around the garden, Song Xing Xing took a deep breath and enjoyed the night breeze.

The air was slightly colder as they were closer to the beach. After a while, her body shivered slightly. Song Xing Xing hugged herself and rubbed her upper arms.

Suddenly, something dropped at her shoulders and something warm surrounded her body.

Startled, Song Xing Xing turned around and was about to make a move and hit the person. However, her movement halted when she recognized the person in front of her. It was Lu Xun!

"You're going to hit me?"

Song Xing Xing shifted her gaze. Her eyes widened and she pulled her hand away.

Just now, she was about to karate chop the man in his neck. However, he had blocked her attack with his arms. Fortunately, he had blocked her attack. Or else, she would feel guilty that she had hit him.

"Sorry. Sorry. I didn't mean to." Song Xing Xing bowed her head a few times. Her face turned red with embarrassment.

"It's fine. It's my fault. I shouldn't have startled you." Lu Xun stretched his hand and patted her on her head.

Song Xing Xing froze. These days, she noticed that Lu Xun liked to pat her head. It gave this feeling that he was doting on her and she liked this feeling.

Suddenly, Song Xing Xing noticed that something was a little strange.

She looked at her shoulder and saw a black coat draped over her shoulders. His scent filled her nose. The warmth radiating from it made her feel as if she was in his arms.

Seeing they were standing close just the two of them made her feel as if they were on a date. Fortunately, she had rejected Liu Yu Sheng's offer to accompany her. Or else, she would not get this chance to be alone with this man.

Song Xing Xing wanted to laugh foolishly but was afraid that she would scare the man.

If she was alone in her room, Song Xing Xing would bury her face into her pillow and scream out loud while rolling around in her bed. The feeling was just too exciting.

It was better if she did not embarrass herself.

But when Lu Xun recalled the time where Song Xing Xing had to pretend to be a drunkard to escape from being set up by someone, Lu Xun became unhappy again.

"I ate too much. I decided to take a walk and digest the food," Song Xing Xing answered.

Lu Xun saw the way Song Xing Xing patted her stomach and chuckled. This adorable act made the unhappy feeling from earlier disappeared. "The wind is colder at night. Next time, wear something thicker."

Song Xing Xing nodded obediently. "Oh."

His lips turned up into a smile. Seeing this obedient girl in front of him made him happy. Song Xing Xing was more docile than his sister. He would be relieved if his sister was obedient as this girl.

He could not stop himself and stretched his arms to touch her head again. Her hair was soft and fluff. He might get addicted to touch and tousle them around.

"How was your dinner? Good?"

"Mmm…" Song Xing Xing nodded and patted at her tummy. "It's good. The lobster is especially delicious. Or else, I would not eat this much. President Lu, thank you."

Lu Xun laughed. "That's good." He thought for a while and continued. "I noticed that you liked seafood and ordered a few more dishes for you. The last time we ate together at the mall, I made you leave before you finished your meal. You can think of this meal as compensation."

So she was not wrong to think that this man had ordered the dishes for her!
