Young Master in the Apocalypse

Chapter 4 - Visitor

Bangg!! Bangg!!!

Viktor was having a relaxing swim at the huge jacuzzi with a few naked girls when he heard the loud sound. This disturbance naturally quickly raised his temper.

“What the hell?! Someone is courting death!”

But his rage quickly shifted into worry as he realized that the loud banging came from the entrance.

Still half-naked and soaked, Viktor stepped out of the bath, walked towards the door with one hand still holding a bottle of vodka, and quickly grabbed the towel that was being delivered by Barry.

Before leaving, Viktor still gave a smile toward the girls on the tube. “Don’t worry girls, I will return as soon as I finish sorting this out.”

As he approached the entrance hall, he was surprised to see the six inch thick steel door was bending outward as if being hit from behind the door.

“How could this be possible!”

Captain Patroski and his three men were there. They had completely armed themselves, aiming their guns towards the door. Their expressions were far from good as they expected for the worst.

Viktor was not stupid, what stood beyond the steel door could not possibly be anything human.

His spider sense was tingling and he knew he should quickly distance himself from the door. However, he must know what it was.-.

BAAMMMM!!!!

Finally, the door fell off its hinges, and Viktor saw a massive creature, three meters tall, a humanoid monster with black liquid-like covering its skin.

It had a large mouth that could unhinge just like an alligator jaw, complete with its sharp teeth and tongue like a snake. It had two dominating arms as big as a tree, tipped with massive sharp claws. However, what scared Viktor the most was its two bloody red eyes that were staring straight at him.

“What the fuck.. are you?!”

Captain Patroski could not hide his surprise, but he did not lose his composure. His grip on the gun was steady while his gaze was firm. The moment the creature took a step forward, he quickly ordered the other three to fire at the unknown monster.

Tratatatattatata

AK-74M, the main and proud service rifle in use in the Russian Army. However, the group was left shell shocked when they saw the 5.56 mm piercing bullets that could even cut through steel were just bouncing on the monster’s skin.

All those attacks only successfully irritated it, as it roared like a crazed bear before start slaughtering the bodyguard one by one like killing a chicken.

“Master Viktor! Run!!!”

Right as it did, Viktor’s survival instincts were quickly activated. His figure bolted away as he ran as fast as he could. He even left his slipper on the floor due how alarmed he was.

He ran, passing all the confused guests, screaming for them to run, but he would not stop. He kept running towards the second floor and directly to the vault on the third lowest floor, the safest place in the bunker.

Right after he entered, he hurriedly slammed the door behind him close and waited.

He then started catching his breath. His mind began thinking of all possible solutions, how to escape this awful predicament.

There was only one door leading outside, the one where he knew already filled with corpses of his bodyguards

Right now, he can only hope that the monster wasn’t able to enter the vault, and hopefully would leave the bunker in a few days.

It was at this time that he started hearing the cacophony of screams from the residents of the bunker.

“I am sorry… I am so sorry…”

He realized how pathetic he sounded, for the proud Romanov son to whimper and cower in fear. However, Viktor knew there was no other way to guarantee his safety.

Realizing he still held a bottle of vodka in his hand, he drank it to calm his furiously beating heart.

A few minutes later, the sound of banging on the vault could be heard. From their voices, Viktor recognized them as Eva and Nicko.

“Let us in!! Viktor! Help us!!”

Viktor froze for a few seconds, before he gritted his teeth and bravely stood up.

As scared as he was, there was no way he could hide here by himself.

There was a possibility that humanity already perished, and if that was indeed the case, then the two outside the door were the last people there were. He couldn’t imagine living in this world by himself.

Hence, Victor decided to open the door.

However, the first scene his eyes looked beyond the door was the monster just behind the two entering the room.

The monster was moving so fast that it quickly took Nicko out of this world, splitting him in half with its two inhuman arms.

Shocked and panicked, he quickly pulled Eva inside and closed the door.

Eva was hysterical, screaming Nicko’s name repeatedly.

“Calm down!! Be quiet!!”

Viktor shook his head and cursed how the god of fortune really had left him. He blamed his father for choosing bunker number four. A number that literally meant death and misfortune for the Chinese people.

“Dammit!! Dammit!!”

As he was curled together with Eva in fear, the monster proceeded on banging the vault door next. The same scene happening with the entrance door repeated itself, and there was nothing they could do to stop it.

The princess of Sweden appeared to have completely lost her mind as she began muttering incomprehensible words. As for Viktor, he hadn’t given up yet. His eyes wandered around the room, trying to find something that he could use to help them.

He took a large sip of the vodka in his hand and also didn’t forget to force the princess to take one too.

Bang!! Bang!!

The vault door had started to bend, but Viktor completely ignored it as if it didn’t have anything to do with him. His eyes still wandered around, scanning the vault room to find anything useful.

He stood amongst a pile of gold bars, gems, and various treasures from his father’s collection. Each of them were worth millions of dollars. However, in this stranglehold between life and death, bills were mere paper and the gold bars were mere weighted items. Nothing could help him out of this predicament.

Bammmmm!!!!

The monster was finally able to break the vault open. But out of the two, the monster choose to move toward him instead

“Definitely!!! My bad luck!!”

Helpless, unarmed and there was nowhere to run.

The monster took a step closer, giving Viktor a better look of its ugly face. The stinking breath only made his last moment unbearable, hence he took a sip of the drink on his hand.

A flash of memory passing trough his mind and he chuckle before saying.

“Alright.. if this is my end… just make it fast”

The monster stopped for a moment, which shocked him. However, before he could do anything, the creature’s massive hand smashed him onto the corner of the room. His body crashed into the treasure cabinet and he was sure it broke a few of his bones.

His consciousness start to dwindle as he saw his own blood has seeped out from his body

With the little remaining energy and his dwindling consciousness, Viktor reached for anything. His bloodied hand dripped scarlet on the destroyed treasures.

“Am I going to die here…? Me?.. Viktor Romanov?” At the last moment, he actually smiled and thought. “Well.. I have been wasting my life anyway… Probably death was what I deserved..”

Without his knowledge, by accident, Viktor’s blood has been washing certain bronze artifacts. It was an old persian lamp.

All of a sudden, a voice echoed in his head,

“Kekekke… Are you sure you want to die?”
