Villain's Rising

149 149. The Mysteries Of Akashic Records [Time Skip: 345 Years]

-345 years after the incident of the Moon’s Fall

“Sire, that new anime is boring. Shall we kill the author?”

“Lucas… have you lost it?”

“Yeah, Lucas. We can’t kill an author just because we don’t happen to like their stories.”

“Ah, yes, that too. But what I meant was, Lucas are you insane? That anime is super cool!”

“Sigh, Master…”

On top of a high throne sat a black-haired boy. Although he had lived a little over three centuries, his appearance hadn’t changed one bit since his twenties.

The throne room had a sharp futuristic look to it. On the right side of the throne stood Lucas, and Kiara stood on the left.

Much like Sam, they looked as if they hadn’t aged a day since their early twenties.

Lucas argued that he should kill the author of an anime he didn’t like. Sam retorted that the anime was not that bad, while Kiara argued that the topic they were talking about was completely pointless.

Right as they were indulging themselves in pointless talks, a black-haired boy with strikingly similar facial features to Sam stormed in.

“Michael!” Sam rejoiced. “What’s up, brother?”

“What’s up?!” Michael shot back, seemingly mad about something. “I requested backup an hour ago! A FUCKING HOUR AGO! My unit has been wiped out! Eight hundred dragons are dead! And you are sitting here talking about some cartoons!”

“Haaa!” Lucas took a dramatic gasp.

“Haaa!” Sam took a dramatic gasp.

“Here we go again.” Kiara facepalmed, almost as if she knew what was about to go down.

“You take that back, you jerkface!”

“You’ve crossed the line, brother!”

“I can’t believe it….” Michael widened his eyes. He let out a soft chuckle in disbelief and yelled, “I can’t believe it! We are arguing on this anime topic again in the middle of a fucking war!”

“It’s no big deal! Just unleash the nuclear weapons and win!” Sam shrugged.

“We don’t have to destroy them! We have to conquer them! Help!” Michael yelled back while pulling on his hair.

“Fine!” Sam rolled his eyes. “I’ll help you, god! But if I do, you’ll watch an anime of our choosing!”

“What?!” Michael shot a ridiculous look. “What?! What?!”

He then took a deep breath and nodded. “Fine! Now can we please focus on this war?!”

“Fine!” Sam shot back.

“Fine!” Michael shot back.

“Fine!” Sam shot back louder.

“Thank you!” Michael shot back even louder.

“Haa, what do we know about the enemy?” Sam sighed before inquiring. “Why are we having so much trouble?”

“Yeah, so, as we’ve discussed earlier, the enemy is an alien race. They are humanoid beings, bearing strikingly similar physical and behavioral resemblances to humans. The only difference is that they have long ears–” As Michael was listing off his report, Sam interfered.

“So they are like elves?” Sam raised his eyebrows.

Michael took a deep breath, calming his raging heart down and trying his best not to lash out at his brother.

After a brief moment of silence, he spoke in an irritatingly slow tone, “Yes. Brother. They are like elves.”

Taking another deep breath, he put on an amicable expression and continued, “Anyway, they are strong. Their elite force has enough power to not only stand tall against our attacks but also attack back. Also, I think they have some connections to the supernatural since every single one of them can manipulate elements.”

“Ho?” Sam raised an eyebrow in response. He put a hand to his chin and began pondering over the situation.

It’s been 322 earth years since Sam, and his army went to the Andromeda galaxy— the galaxy where Starsuper was from.

With Michael’s ever-growing control over his ability to manipulate space and Martian technology, traveling wasn’t the difficult part.

However, the problems began when Sam arrived on the planet Starsuper was originally from.

There was nothing….

A few traces of civilization were left, but aside from that, the planet was abandoned.

According to the records that the people of that planet left, which didn’t take Tracy a very long time to decipher, the planet’s inhabitants were all dead.

Well, the few who survived scattered throughout the universe but most of them didn’t survive.

The last ones to survive were Arthur Willburn and his two brothers. But now, even they are dead.

According to Tracy, the inhabitants of the planet destroyed each other. They engaged in wars over topics that were too useless for Sam to remember and brought their end to themselves.

Honestly, Sam wasn’t surprised. The only way for a civilization as strong as theirs to die out is for them to kill themselves.

After that, for 322 whole years, Sam went from one planet to another, conquering them and initiating a grand interstellar conquest.

The conquering part wasn’t so difficult. Since Sam’s control over his ability to manipulate life grew, he became stronger.

With one flick of his finger, he would erase his enemy’s existence and bring his vanquished allies back from the dead.

After that, when the planet’s authority would, Sam would leave a clone of his to rule over every planet that he’d conquered.

By doing that, he had conquered more than half of the known universe. His empire is the largest one, with every intergalactic organization either fearing his name or raising his banners.

He possessed the biggest army in the universe now that was speared across all the galaxies he had put under his rule.

But it didn’t take Sam that much time to come face to face with an enemy that gave him a little trouble after so long.

“How strong are they?” Sam asked. Since his army was having that much trouble, he expected the enemy to be strong.

“The regular ones are not that difficult to deal with. The problem is their elite unit. Just like Starsuper, the people in their elite unit can disable our abilities. So fighting them solely with physically enhanced strength is proving to be difficult.”

Sam frowned at that answer. But Michael wasn’t done.

“Also, much like Starsuper, the people in their elite unit are nigh-immortal. They are coming back to life no matter how many times we may kill them.”

Sam was about to ask a question with a bewildered expression, but Lucas reacted faster.

“Define nigh-immortal!” Lucas yelled.

“Woah!” Michael stepped back, seemingly startled by Lucas’ hyper reaction. “Well, this one time, I killed one of their elites by distorting the space around his body, but he came back to life from nothing! It’s like they can regenerate their body back from a single atom!”

Sam was now sure. That regeneration ability was way too similar to Willburns. He had to see it for himself.

He nodded with a serious look on his face and said, “Let’s go. Lucas, you’ll stay here on standby.”

Without a comment, Michael nodded back as he waited there patiently till Sam got down from his throne and elegantly walked up to him.

He couldn’t admire the gracefulness in every bit of Sam’s movements. From his sense of dressing in a royal looking all black suit and long coat to his way of walking with fierce yet elegant steps.

He wanted to start fanning over him, but Michael knew this was not the time for that.

Coughing dryly, Michael showed Sam the way as soon as the latter walked up to him.

Currently, they are in a spaceship. Not only was it the largest one they had, but it was also the most powerful in every aspect, from the weaponry loaded in it to its power reactors. It was their mothership.

And their mothership was hovering right above the atmosphere of the planet called WeiX-Z22.

Upon arriving at the cargo area, Sam initiated his mind link and contacted Ryuusuke, who was controlling this and all the other spaceships, telepathically.

“Ryu, can you hear me?”

‘Yes, master.’ The reply came.

“Open the emergency exit. I’m diving in.” Sam commanded while putting off the long coat that he was wearing and rolling up his black shirt’s sleeves.

‘By your wish, master. Oh and one thing before you go, the population of the planet is disappearing. It’s almost as if they are escaping somewhere.’ Ryuusuke informed him.

“What?” Sam frowned. “Haven’t our spaceships surrounded their planet from all directions?”

‘We have, master. And that’s puzzling me too.’ Ryuusuke sounded confused.

“Fine, open the exit. I’ll see it for myself.” Sam shook his head.

“What’s going on, brother?” Michael asked from beside him.

“According to Ryuusuke, the planet’s population is suddenly disappearing,” Sam replied.

“What? That’s impossible. We have surrounded their planet from all directions.” Michael retorted.

“I know. Ryuusuke is puzzled too. Come down after me. Look for what’s happening while I’ll end this war.” Sam commanded Michael, to which the latter submissively bowed his head.

As if waiting for that cue, the floor over which Sam was standing retracted into a circle and disappeared, allowing him to fall.

While he was falling down, he couldn’t help but notice that this planet bore a very similar resemblance to earth.

The only difference was the abundance of greenery here. The inhabitants of this planet were eco-friendly.

Shrugging, Sam activated his dragon transformation, and a flash of violet lightning bolt fell on him in that instant.
