Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Noah felt as if his consciousness dived into complete darkness.

His senses were dulled, and he could barely grasp what was going on.

However, a very familiar voice as of now awakened him within this darkness.

Opening his sight even without eyes, he glanced at the gaping abyss, as the figure of a tall man of over three meters, with pale white skin, crimson eyes, and long silvery-white hair wearing formal clothes that someone like a duke of medieval times would wear greeted him.

He smiled like the most malicious of villains that Noah could ever remember from any cartoon he ever saw.

"Where am I?" asked Noah.

"You're inside of my Blood Core, or what I would call… my soul," said the man… with the same voice that Noah remembered quite well…

"You're…! The Blood Progenitor!" said Noah.

"That's me in all of my splendor, Noah!" laughed the Blood Progenitor.

"But why am I in here?" asked Noah.

"I called you here because we must fuse our souls as one, this is the next step before you can inherit the power I have been slowly amassing since my death, now, Noah, grasp it with all of your might!" roared the Blood Progenitor, as suddenly, Noah was shrouded in an enormous quantity of crimson energy!

Flash!

"Nnngkh…!"

Noah agonized even within this space, even without a body, his soul was here, fusing forcefully with the malicious soul of a monster, a being born within the dangerous Labyrinths that appeared all over Earth!

Such monsters were speculated to come from other worlds, different realities, Noah was now fusing with such a dangerous monster, if the nation were to know about such a thing, he would become the target from all Hunters!

The enormous wave of crimson energy engulfed Noah, as his entire soul was devoured!

"Hahahaha! It seems that my mind might reign over your body! Just as planned!" laughed the Blood Progenitor, he had schemed to take over Noah's body and mind!

Would such a strong being even leave a measly human-like Noah to possess his powers freely?

In exchange, he would take his body and mind, of course!

"Don't worry, Noah, as I shall take over you and avenge your parents- Eh?"

However, against all the expectations of the Blood Progenitor… Noah was still conscious within the sea of crimson energy!

"What? Impossible! You are a mere human! And I am an SSS-Rank Monster in your world!" roared the Blood Progenitor, pouring more power against Noah's mind, however, something within him, could not falter!

The Blood Progenitor glared at Noah with his crimson eyes, realizing that something within his very soul was very strange, very, very weird!

"W-What?! You are… Impossible! Your ability is awakening in such a situation?!" asked the Blood Progenitor, baffled about the ability that Noah was awakening!

However, this was not it.

The Blood Progenitor could only realize very late that this… could not possibly be an Ability at all.

What this young man's soul harbored was… something even deeper, even more abyssal than even himself!

The Blood Progenitor glanced at the abyss within Noah's soul, as the abyss began to absorb all of the crimson energy… and even himself!

"This cannot be…! An Ancient One… in your soul?! In the soul of this pathetic mortal?! What are the odds?!" wondered the Blood Progenitor, it seemed as if… he was being the one schemed against!

As his entire self was slowly being devoured by this abyssal gap within Noah's soul, he glanced at the entity deep within the man's soul!

An enormous mass of darkness, with a gigantic crimson eye, glaring deeply at him, thousands of tentacles waving everywhere, grotesquely!

The hidden power within such an entity seemed endless!

However, Noah's soul was still too weak to contain it all, and the entity even gave the effort of sealing itself for him!

Just what… was truly Noah?!

The Blood Progenitor could only despair!

Despair against the one he thought was a mere pawn for his plans!

Struggling against the entity's power, he tried to escape!

But it was too late, the monstrous and abyssal entity smiled eerily, as it extended its tentacles towards the Blood Progenitor, entangling him and… devouring him!

"T-This is… Impossible…!" he muttered, as he was assimilated by Noah's soul!

Darkness once more took a hold of Noah's consciousness, as he dived into this darkness for a bit longer.

Flash!

The power of the Blood Progenitor emerged from the very core of his soul, raising like a wave of enormous strength!

He opened his eyes, as his emerald eyes turned crimson red, his dark hair silvery white, and his healthy and youthful skin turned pale white!

Noah's entire body ached and twisted around, his bones strengthened themselves countless times, as Noah screamed in agony once more!

However, just as it began it stopped, silence taking hold of the room.

Noah once more opened his eyes, as he glanced at his own hands, they were as pale as candle wax.

And his body temperature was now incredibly low…

And above all, his senses, smell, touch, sight, hearing, and taste had increased exponentially!

But even more, he felt a tremendous craving… for blood.

He felt as if his throat was incredibly sore, even when he drank a whole bottle of water, it still felt dry.

Noah, fell to the ground, as he was trying to cope with all of the events going on.

He could barely remember it… but within his soul, something had awakened.

The Blood Progenitor tried to take over him, but this entity, whatever this grotesque being was, devoured it.

However, against what he thought, the voice of that man resonated once more into his mind.

"I… Cannot believe it… You! You set me up!" roared the Blood Progenitor within Noah's mind.

"Isn't it more like the opposite? I had no idea I had some kind of abyssal horror in my own soul, this is straight out of some Lovecraftian book, to tell you the truth," said Noah, standing up.

"Grrrr! I… I will get my revenge on you!" roared the Blood Progenitor.

"Revenge? I thought this was a mutual benefit pact? Weren't you the one that tried to take over me? Serve you right," said Noah.

"Tch! Anyways, now that things are like this… I might as well contribute to whatever wicked desires you want… As long as you satisfy my craving for blood, of course!" laughed the Blood Progenitor, surprising Noah with his quick acceptance of things despite how it turned out for him.

"Hah, I see that you're quick to catch up with who's in charge here…" said Noah, he suddenly felt… freer. As if his mind was clearer and less clouded with insecurities and fear.

"Hmph, I am doing this because there is no other option, do you think I want to enrage whatever dwells within your soul, brat?!" roared the Blood Progenitor.

"Ah, I guess you're just a wimpy little vampire then?" asked Noah teasingly.

"Shut up! Now that you have an Ability… You should be able to use it!" said the Blood Progenitor.

"Oh…? Do you mean the power given to all who have acquired an Ability?" asked Noah.

"Indeed, Noah! Now… you can finally have it! The System!" laughed the Blood Progenitor.
