Unpredictable Marriage.

The housekeeper who was about to retire for the night, saw a shocking scene before her when she heard some noise in the living room and came out to check what was going on.

Before the housekeeper could scream, Anne immediately rushed over ad covered her mouth with her hand.

Chen Lihua sighed in relief and said to her in a soft tone, "It's me, I'm back. Where is my son?." 

The housekeeper who still had her mouth covered by Anne's hand pointed towards the stairs.

Chen Lihua smiled before walking away and leaving her bodyguards to take care of the remaining matter.

After Chen Lihua disappeared from their presence, Anne let the housekeeper off.

"These are madam's luggage ? ?send them to her bedroom," K2 instructed.

The housekeeper nodded with a frantic expression on her face. She was beyond shocked to say anything.

Seeing the Mistress of the house back home after a few years, and without any warning, was enough to cause her blood pressure to rise.

After Anne and K2 left, the housekeeper said

t on the floor and fanned herself in other to recover from the shock she has just received.

After resting for a while, the housekeeper carried the bag and went up the stairs in quiet steps. 

Chen Lihua went straight to Taio's bedroom to check up on him. She was so careful to not make any sound.

From the door, she could see his figure sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Chen Lihua did not notice the changes in the bedroom as her eyes were only on her son that was looking so grown up.

Tears gathered in her eyes as she walked towards the bed.

"Taio?." She called out in a muffled tone as she caressed his hair.

She missed her son, and she regretted missing out on more than 2 years of his life. Her little guy has grown so much that she could barely recognize him.

From the side of his face, Chen Lihua could tell who he resembled. It was Liu Longwei for sure.

Chen Lihua smiled and wiped her tears as she continued caressing his hair. She wanted to hug him, but she didn't want to disturb his sleep.

After spending 5 minutes in the room, Chen Lihua kissed Taio's forehead and whispered goodnight to him.

Chen Lihua left as gently as she came, and made use of the stairs to go to the last floor.

The housekeeper was about to open the door to Liu Longwei's bedroom when she heard the familiar good voice that sent shoved down her spine. 

"What are you doing?." Liu Longwei asked with furrowed brows with his gaze on the housekeeper.

"Sir, sorry to disturb your sleep, but I was asked to keep these bags in the room." The housekeeper replies in fear.

Over the last several months, Liu Longwei developed insomnia and can't sleep well at night, so the servants usually retired early so as not to disturb him while he was resting.

The housekeeper was afraid of what Liu Longwei will do to punish her for disturbing his peaceful sleep, so she hurried to apologize.

Liu Longwei glanced at the luggage before her but didn't find them familiar. He frowned as he asked who it belonged to.

"It belongs to Madam." The housekeeper revealed.

Liu Longwei was in a state of confusion and didn't understand what she meant, so he asked for clarification. "Which Madam?."

"I." Chen Lihua soft reply came as she climbed up the remaining steps and slowly appeared before them.

The housekeeper sighed in relief and hurriedly disappeared. She went into Liu Longwei's bedroom with Chen Lihua's luggage, leaving them to themselves.

Liu Longwei was shocked out of his mind when he saw the familiar woman before him. At first, he thought he wasn't seeing properly, but after he blinked his eyes repeatedly and still saw that figure, he confirmed that she was real.

He was deeply shocked out of his mind and remained standing there with his gaze on her. He was dumbfounded seeing her there. When did she come back?

Chen Lihua had her gaze on him as she thought, 'Is this really my husband?'. She gave him a scrutinizing gaze, and the longing for him was gradually overwhelming her.

Before Chen Lihua could say anything to him, She felt Liu Longwei's figure rush to her side and the next second, she found herself in his arms.

"Lihua? Is that you?." Liu Longwei asked as he hugged tightly in his arms.

A smile slowly appeared on Chen Lihua's face as her hands that were on her sides, slowly reached out to caress his back.

"It's me." Chen Lihua replied softly as she hugged him tightly and inhaled the familiar scent from him. Even though it has been more than 2 years, she could still recognize and enjoy his scent.

"I missed you so much!." Liu Longwei confessed as he squeezed her in his arms. Chen Lihua was almost losing her breath, so she had to remind him about it.

"Longwei, you are going to squeeze me to death." 

Liu Longwei quickly let her go and apologized. "I'm sorry, I was too happy to see you."

"It's okay." Chen Lihua said with a smile. To Liu Longwei, her smile still felt as beautiful as he remembered.

"Lihua, you really shocked me tonight. You didn't tell any of us about your coming back today. I would have come to take you directly from there." Liu Longwei said in a worried tone as he pulled her towards her bedroom.

"I wanted to give you all a surprise, and it worked." Chen Lihua said as she allowed him to take her inside her bedroom.

Liu Longwei led her to wait on the bed before sitting next to her, refusing to let go of her hand.

"Why do you sleep here?." Chen Lihua asked curiously.

Liu Longwei glanced around the bedroom before fixing his gaze on her, "I missed you so much that I couldn't sleep in my bedroom, so I came over here."

"You look like you haven't be taken care of yourself over the past few years." Chen Lihua said worriedly as she touched his face and felt his subtle.

Liu Longwei took her hands away from his face and held them saying, "It doesn't matter now, you are back."

Chen Lihua felt emotional seeing her husband look pained. She could tell his emotions from his eyes, and so, looked away from him.

She glanced at the bed and said to him, "It's already so late, you need to get some sleep."

"No, I'm fine." Liu Longwei rejected her suggestion immediately.

Chen Lihua smiled at his response and thought he must be missed her greatly, but she still asked, "Why?."

Liu Longwei squeezed her hands gently and replied with a gentle gaze fixed on her.. "I'm afraid if I go back to sleep and wake, I won't see you again."
