Su Ye only felt 70% full after he finished his meal. He realized that he had ordered too little. He then turned his gaze toward Hort.

Su Ye was dumbfounded.

Hort was patting his stomach, his expression a little disappointed.

“You… are done eating?”

“Yea,” Hort replied matter-of-factly.

The trays in front of Hort slowly extended their legs and jumped off the table. They walked out of the cafeteria and were collected by the Pig Gnomes.

Su Ye thought that Hort would not be able to finish the food. In the end, not only did Hort eat faster than him, but Hort even polished his plate more thoroughly than him too.

“I’ll order a little more. I am not full yet.” Su Ye was afraid that the lessons in the afternoon would be hectic and ordered half the amount of food he had ordered just now.

“Alright, I’ll eat with you,” Hort said with a heroic tone. He swiped his finger down the menu in the spellbook.

Hort selected a third of the menu under Su Ye’s nervous gaze.

“Yes, I have to eat less. Being too fat might affect my advancement to the level of an apprentice,” Hort said as he ordered his food.

Su Ye was silent.

The new batch of food got served quickly.

“You eat even more than pigs!” the Pig Gnomes muttered as they walked.

Hort also finished his food faster than Su Ye this time. There was no competition.

“I haven’t eaten until I was 90% full in such a long time…” Hort had on a blissful expression.

Su Ye carefully searched his memories. He realized that Hort had an even larger appetite last year.

Su Ye had the habit of meditating in the afternoon. He would usually meditate before he had his meal. The effects of meditating were not great while he was still digesting his food.

“There’s no way I can do my afternoon meditation now. I guess I’ll do it during the meditation class later on in the afternoon,” Su Ye thought in his heart. He felt a little sleepy.

Hort stood up and said, “Let’s go, let’s see what we can do at the arena.”

“Alright.” Su Ye also wanted to explore the Plato Academy.

Soon, Su Ye arrived at the arena. It was already really crowded here.

Rather than an arena, it was more like a large, level field that was divided into many sections using magic signs.

Su Ye thought that the students would engage in lighter exercises after lunch. However, in each of the sectors of the arena, the upperclassmen warriors were like Magical Beasts. They did sprints, discus, long jump, javelin, horse riding, carriage steering, wrestling, boxing…

“I heard that Ancient Greece was a land of competitions and would hold contests for just about anything, no matter how big or small, joyous or sad the matter was, similar to how any festival was also a feast in ancient Asian countries. It looks like that is all true.”

Su Ye was really interested in the boxing styles of the Ancient Greeks and so walked over to the boxing arena to have a look.

Su Ye noticed that boxing of this era already had some characteristics of modern-day boxing, but it still had several differences. These differences were especially prominent in the footwork and defense. They were not perfected yet.

However, their offense was ferocious.

Su Ye stood outside the boxing arena where two Black Iron Warriors were battling. A bunch of students was shouting.

“Farskera, kill that son of a b*tch!”

“Halmos, kill him!”

A bunch of overly energetic student warriors stood outside the arena. They waved their hands as they roared.

What was mystifying to Su Ye was that a few mages had tucked their magic robes under their belts and were shouting on together with the warriors. They also had the same muscular physiques that the warriors had.

Su Ye looked at the muscles that had just grown on his body. This is… a tradition of ancient Greece?

Neither of the Black Iron Warriors used their Divine Power and were instead battling with their physical strength. Not long after, the faces of both warriors became swollen. Blood flowed down from their nostrils and out of the corner of their mouths, but they continued to fight on fiercely.

Their fists connected, and blood sprayed everywhere.

“Ferocious!” Su Ye exclaimed in his heart. His heart was itching to fight after seeing this battle. He desperately wanted to participate.

Luckily, Su Ye suppressed that thought. He was a mage, not a warrior!

Everything else was inferior. Only magic had a high status!

“Oh?”

Su Ye noticed out of the corner of his eyes that Palos was also at the boxing arena. However, she stood far away and still had on her icy demeanor. She also had a faint despising look on as well.

Thud!

A man was hit squarely in his jaw. His eyes glazed over as he fainted.

“Ahhh!”

The victor roared and raised his arms high in the air. He had on a ferocious expression as he walked around the boxing arena. His strides were arrogant, and he paraded his strength around like a male lion.

“Beautiful work!”

A bunch of people cheered as they charged over. They raised the victor high up into the air, then tossed him into the sky. Then they caught him and tossed him up again…

“Are these beasts not afraid of vomiting the meals they just had…?”

Su Ye could not understand the insanity of these people.

“But, perhaps it is only like this that Athens could maintain its strength.”

At this moment, someone shouted, “Hort, do you want to come and play? Of course, we would have to use an appropriate amount of Divine Power.”

“I only play with those who do not use Divine Power.” Hort crossed his arms. He wore a worried smile.

“Then what’s there to play!” A Black Iron Warrior rolled his eyes.

“Oh, Hort, when are you going to advance to Black Iron!”

“Probably in a few years.” Hort had a frustrated look in his eyes. Even his smile disappeared.

“Poor guy!” A bunch of Black Iron Warriors and Black Iron Mages shook their heads helplessly.

“Little chicken over there, come over here and play with us.” The overly energetic upperclassmen turned their heads and stared at Su Ye like tigers stalking a little lamb.

Su Ye disrespectfully rolled his eyes, then turned around and walked someplace else.

“I’ll beat you guys up when I advance to Black Iron!” Su Ye shouted.

The upperclassmen let out a friendly laugh.

Su Ye looked calm on the surface but was secretly simmering. These upperclassmen were beasts!

Their footwork and defenses were a little weaker, but their attacks were too fierce. Even the person who lost just now would have given Tyson at his prime a good beating.

More importantly, both of them had not used their Divine Powers.

The upperclassmen present were obviously average. The upperclassmen who were truly powerful were definitely at the level of Bronze Warrior. Some of them might have even advanced to Silver Warrior.

“That’s what makes things interesting!”

Su Ye wanted to advance more than ever.

Su Ye did not overdo it with his studies. Instead, he used the time in the afternoon to explore all of the important places within the Plato Academy and gain a clearer understanding of the academy.

However, during this time, Su Ye felt a few people giving him weird looks, but the other party would immediately avert their gaze when Su Ye looked over.

“Could they be people I offended in the past?”

Su Ye did not think too much about it. Since he had managed to live last night, that meant that he would not be in any danger for the time being.

Seeing that time was about to be up, Su Ye thought about what to do next as he walked back to the classroom.

“I have three clear paths. One is to learn about magic, the second is to practice my magical abilities, and the third is to make money. What should I choose?”

Su Ye thought for a moment as he walked quickly back to the classroom. He opened his spellbook and drew boxes once again. He split the page into five large sections.

He wrote down the words “magical knowledge,””practice,” and “earning money” in the leftmost column.

He then labeled the next four columns “short-term benefit,””short-term loss,””long-term benefit,” and “long-term loss,” respectively.

Su Ye first started to analyze “magical knowledge.”

Short-term benefits: Grades, good attitude, sense of accomplishment, motivation, satisfaction, the approval of teachers, and classmates.

Short-term losses: Time, tiring.

Long-term benefits: Wealth of knowledge, solid foundation, broader space to grow, possible monetary rewards, more respect, one step closer toward accomplishing my dream.

Long-term losses: A girlfriend?

Su Ye looked at what he wrote and felt that it was too little. He thus started thinking deeply and continued to fill in the columns or erase their contents.

After the class was over, Su Ye finally finished making a basic analysis of the three areas.
