The Wife of Hades

Mo Han narrowed his eyes as he repeated, "The Lin family. . ."

He looked over at the other two men who did not say anything, and he could tell that they were not lying. He straightened his back, throwing the key in his hand to his man standing behind him, who swiftly caught it.

He turned around, saying as he walked out of the room, "Good. Now call the police."

At once, the three men began screaming, trying to escape from the chairs but failing.

"You said you would let us go!" The man screamed hysterically, tipping the chair over from trying to escape.

"Wait! Don't leave! Let us go!"

"Don't call the police! You lied! You -"

But Mo Han did not listen as he walked further and further away, disappearing as he turned the corner. He walked up the stairs again, leaving the secret chamber as he returned to his room, where An Luxia was already fast asleep.

As he entered the restroom quietly, he closed the door and leaned against the bathroom counter. A sly grin appeared on his face as he licked his lips in a menacing manner, "Lin family. . ."

An Luxia woke up the next day and the sun was out already. Her first class today didn't start until 1 P.M., and it was the only lecture she had today.

She pushed herself up on the bed and noticed that Mo Han was still asleep next to her, which was quite unusual since he usually left early to get work done. 

She looked over, bending down slightly onto her elbow as she looked down upon Mo Han, who had his eyes closed. His breathing was slow and even, and she could faintly feel the warmth of his breath as she lowered her hand over his face. 

Her finger gently brushed past his hair, feeling the softness of it even though he was a man. She then slowly moved her finger down to his lips, and her finger shook slightly as she positioned it over his thin lips as if he was telling someone to be quiet.

Then, just as she was about to pull away and get out of bed, she heard him say, "Trapped in my handsomeness again?"

An Luxia's eyes widened as she immediately froze and looked up at him to find his eyes opened already. For how long, she didn't know.

"When did you wake up?!"

Mo Han grinned, "When you started playing with my lips."

At once, An Luxia's face turned a dark shade of pink as she immediately pulled her hand back, jumping off the bed, "So narcissistic! I. . . There. . . There was something on your lips, so I was. . . was trying. . ."

Unable to keep lying, she shut the door to the bathroom and quickly hid herself, pretending like nothing happened.

She quickly got ready and after finishing, stayed inside the restroom for another few minutes before finally opening the door slightly.

Fortunately, Mo Han was nowhere in sight so she walked out of the restroom only to immediately hear his deep voice again, "Good morning."

Her back stiffened as she turned around to see him walk out of the closet, still buttoning his shirt. He only had one of the buttons together at the moment, and most of his upper body was revealed.

She quickly looked away and made her way towards the door, "Put your close on properly! I'm going to go eat breakfast."

Mo Han grinned as he watched her leave the room, swinging the door behind her so it closed with a bang.

The television was turned on as they ate their breakfast. An Luxia glanced at the television once in a moment, wondering why Mo Han insisted on watching the news during breakfast today.

The anchor was talking about some polar bears in Country P right now, and the footage of the white creatures was incredibly cute. 

She took a gulp of her orange juice, looking over at the television again to find the footage of the polar bears disappearing.

"Now, moving on to our next big business news of the day. In Country Z, the famous Lin Corporation's stock suddenly started dropping drastically, and within the span of eight hours, the chairman of the Lin Corporation declared bankruptcy."

An image of the Lin Corporation's stock was enlarged onto the screen, and the drop was terrifying. It was a sudden decline, almost like the edge of a cliff.

"It is said that the two biggest companies in Country Z, the Gu Corporation and the Qin Corporation, all participated in causing the bankruptcy of the Lin Corporation. The reason is still unknown."

An Luxia looked up upon hearing this, "The Gu Corporation and the Qin Corporation? Gu Yechen and Qin Wei?"

She turned to look at the screen and quickly read the red headline, "The Lin Corporation. . ."

Mo Han smiled as he gulped down his black coffee, sparing a glance at the screen, "Do you know the young master of the Lin Corporation?"

An Luxia knit her eyebrows together, "No. . . why?"

Mo Han raised one eyebrow and began slicing his bacon into smaller pieces, "The person who sent the people who kidnapped you is the young master of the Lin Corporation."

An Luxia's mouth fell open in shock and confusion, "What?! But I don't even know him. . ." 

Mo Han shook his head, "It's okay. Don't worry about it."

An Luxia frowned as she slowly began eating again, starting to think about whether she had any relation with the young master of the Lin Corporation.

After a long time, she still couldn't figure out anything. 

After eating breakfast, she went to Mo Han's office to finish up some school work and work with him before it was time for school.

When they arrived, she unbuckled her seatbelt and got ready to get off the car. However, just as she pushed the door open, Mo Han pulled her back.

"Do you have anything after your classes today?"

An Luxia blinked a few times, "No. . . why?"

Mo Han smiled and loosened his grip, "Nothing, goodbye."
