The Wife of Hades

Chapter 65 - The Secret Room

"But. . . what meeting were you in?"

Mo Han froze quickly and his Adam's apple moved up as he gulped. However, he quickly returned to normal and An Luxia looked up, perfectly missing his change in expression.

"Nothing. It was just a meeting with some of the groups of the HLX."

"Oh," An Luxia nodded, brushing off some of the dirt that was on her arm, "I haven't heard any news of the HLX recently. Is it confidential information or what are you guys up to?"

Mo Han grinned, "It is confidential information. . . but not to the boss's wife. Nothing much. Something special that will be revealed soon."

An Luxia raised one eyebrow, "So secretive."

The car entered the gate and started climbing up the mountain. An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows together as she thought about who the person could possibly be.

A man. . . Could it be Lu Xiamo?

Why would he do it though? Was he still humiliated about what had happened at the An family's house and in the shooting range.

If it was truly him, then he was in trouble. Mo Han had never liked that dude. . .

"Come on. I'll cook dinner tonight -"

An Luxia immediately grabbed onto Mo Han's arm and smiled, "It's okay. You shouldn't cook. I'll cook, I'll cook."

Mo Han wasn't exactly the best chef. . . She had just experienced such a horrifying experience. She wanted to eat some good food.

---

As they walk into the house, An Luxia kept her act up as she wrapped her arms around Mo Han's elbow, pretending to be scared although she wasn't actually scared at all.

"I almost died," she whined, only to receive a smile from Mo Han, who thought that her act was very. . . cute.

"Yes, yes. Don't worry. I'm here now."

An Luxia smiled upon hearing that, continuing to grab onto him as they walked in.

---

After eating dinner, An Luxia got ready for bed. She had been sleeping quite late the past few days, and in order to continue her amazing act, she should also sleep earlier today.

Mo Han entered the room after finishing his work, and she glanced at him before quickly jumping onto the bed, covering herself with the blanket.

Mo Han didn't let her enter his office today to work together and was acting all secretive and weird, refusing to let her look at his computer or even enter the room.

Who knew what he was up to?

Mo Han smiled and walked over, sitting down next to her. She closed her eyes, but still opened them very slightly so she could see him sitting there.

"I still have some work to do. I'll be right back after finishing." He leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead gently before standing up, closing the lights as he walked out of the room.

He closed the door, locking it from the outside before walking down the hallway, his smile immediately disappearing as his expression turned serious.

His footsteps rang in the empty hallway as his pace sped up. He turned a corner, entering an area of the house that he rarely went to and An Luxia probably didn't even know existed.

At the very end, he clicked a red button hidden on the red wall and a door opened, leading into a dark area.

He stepped in, his leather shoes echoing as he stepped on the marble floor. As the sound spread in the narrow area, a light turned on, revealing the beginning of a staircase leading down.

He closed the door and began walking down. As he got further and further down, the lights lit up one by one near the wall, revealing a very narrow staircase that seemed to block out all outside sound.

When he finally reached the bottom, he pushed open another door, and the sound of screaming immediately reached his ears.

He smiled and walked in, going down another empty hallway before finally reaching a room where there were people.

The men that had followed him to the back parking lot were standing inside, and when they saw him, they immediately turned around and bowed down, "Mr. Mo."

He nodded his head and walked over to where the three men who had kidnapped An Luxia were seated. Their hands and legs were tied to chair, and they were all sweating.

Their eyes stared nervously at Mo Han, who smiled back at them, "Hello. Long time no see."

The man in the middle immediately started crying, "Please forgive us. We were only following orders. We. . . We didn't know -"

"Didn't know that her husband was such a figure." Mo Han said with a smile, completing his sentence.

The man gulped and looked down, trying to untie his hands, which were starting to itch.

Mo Han stood up, playing around with a pair of keys he had in his hand, "Tell me who sent you and I will let you three go."

The three men looked at each other before the one in the middle spoke again, "We really can't! It is a rule in our industry. We can't tell you who sent us."

Mo Han raised one eyebrow, "Oh really? Then I guess you three will have to continue to stay here."

He turned around and looked at his men standing behind him, "Continue."

The men nodded and two of them stepped forward. The three men immediately started shaking in fear and the one to the side started to cry as well.

Before the two men could even near them, the one sitting to the right screamed, "I'll tell you! I'll tell you who sent us. Please let us go."

The other two men didn't say no to the man's request, because they did not want to stay here any longer either.

Mo Han turned around with a smile, "Go ahead."

The man gulped, looking over at his two partners. Realizing that both of them did not have any objections, he looked up and said softly, "It was the son of the Lin Family. . ."

Mo Han narrowed his eyes as he repeated, "The Lin family. .. ."
