Yan Shuyu thought she had the perfect plan, but she had underestimated male lead’s intelligence. Regardless of whether he could read the menu, he could still look at the pictures on the menu. The little male lead was very focused on the menu, showing no signs to ask for help. Yan Shuyu stood by one side awkwardly for a bit but finally used her wit and had him ordered more food than he could possibly eat.

The method was simple, all she needed to do was shamelessly stuck her head over to the male lead when he looked at the pictures, and using the voice of grandma wolf coaxing little red riding hood, said, “Awww, is this what you want? Excellent choice. This one is delicious!” She didn’t really need to come up with many ideas and it worked every time.

Yan Shuyu was a bit surprised as well. The male lead looked stern, but he was so easy to convince. As soon as she said “such excellent choice”, he would nod right away before she could even finish the rest of her sentence.

Her plan worked way better than she had expected. Yan Shuyu also knew that if the male lead was just 2-3 years older, it wouldn’t have been so easy.

Yan Shuyu was happily fooling the little male lead. She played her trickery openly and honestly and completely ignore the fact that the parent was sitting right across from the child. But, just as she had expected, this amount was nothing to the Zhou’s.

The boss watched her interacted with his son the entire time with a gentle look. When Yan Shuyu finally felt that she should stop wasting hard work of the uncle famers that had grown this food, he even smiled at her and asked, “Is that…. Everything you recommend in your shop?”

“I think everything in our shop is delicious!” Yan Shuyu could tell right away that the boss had saw right through her, but his smile was so genial it was obvious that he didn’t care at all. So, she unabashedly and rightfully said, “But I am afraid you won’t be able to finish if we order them all.”

Perhaps, the interaction earlier made the male lead feel that they had grown closer. The well behaved little boy suddenly chimed in and said, “It’s despicable to waste food.”

“You are right, let’s just order these for now them.” Zhou Qinhe properly and elegantly thanked Yan Shuyu, “Thank you for your concern.”

Oh, pssst, who was concerned about you? Jie jie would love for you to order every single dish of the shop, preferably you’d eat yourself to death on the spot! Yan Shuyu was quite happy before, thinking about how witty she was. Nonetheless, the very last line out of the boss’s mouth made her feel defeated…. No wonder it was said that the non-barking dog would bite. Men, who always have a smile on their face, were the most insidious.

Yan Shuyu was a little displeased, and her spirit was dampened. Plus, she was still on the clock, so without further ado, she picked up the menus and walked away.

Her little buddies at the shop was gossipy indeed. Even though they did not head over where she was when she was taking orders for Zhou Qinhe and his son, they had already noticed the unusual chemistry between them. As soon as Yan Shuyu went to the back, they all went up and enthusiastically surrounded her and started asking questions at the same time, “Yanyan, did you know that father and son who just came in? I heard the dad call you by your name.”

“Didn’t that dad just come here two days ago? And didn’t he have afternoon tea with a young and pretty girl? But he is such a sweet man, I guess it all makes sense.”

“Yan-jie, you still haven’t told us how you are related to that handsome man. Are you friends? Is that his kid? Is he single or married?”
