The Hidden Wife Of The Cold CEO

Chapter 5 - Fu Hua And Alix Feng

Mrs. Qin immediately poured a glass of room temperature water from the bottle of flask she brought from her home.

She passed the cup to Jia Li before helping the old man up.

"Sir, are you okay?." Mrs. Qin asked as she put a pillow on his back to support him.

Old Mr. Fu nodded in response before the water was passed to him.

Jia Li wanted to help him out thinking he didn't have strength in his arms, but he surprised her by drinking the glass of water without help.

"Jia Li, get the doctor." Mrs. Qin instructed as she took the empty glass from Old Mr. Fu.

Jia Li rushed out immediately to call the doctor.

A few Minutes Later...

"Mr. Fu, can you remember what happened to you yesterday evening?." The doctor asked after checking the old man.

Old Mr. Fu sighed before starting to reply. "I was involved in an accident. A big truck hit my car and fled almost instantly."

"Do you remember the color of the truck?." The doctor asked.

"Red." The old man replied.

The doctor heaved a sigh and couldn't continue with the question since he wasn't a policeman undertaking an investigation task.

"Does your body hurt anywhere?." The doctor asked.

"Yes. My head still hurts, and my legs and arms hurt as well." Old Mr. Fu replied.

He was speaking like somebody who wasn't going through pains.

"You have to endure the pains, for now, another pain relief will be added to your drip soon." The doctor said while scribbling something on his book.

"Mr. Fu, you can eat something now." After saying this piece to the old man, he turned to Mrs. Qin to say, "Nurse Qin, the dishes should be light."

And with that, the doctor strode out of the room.

Mrs. Qin has been a nurse for more than half her life, so of course, she knew the kind of food to bring to a patient undergoing recovery.

"Nurse Qin?." Old Mr. Fu called out.

"Yes, Mr. Fu." Mrs. Qin answered as she set the food close to him.

"Is she your daughter?." He asked, referring to Jia Li.

"Yes." Mrs. Qin replied.

Jia Li became enthusiastic as she introduced herself to the Old man.

"Grandfather, I am Jia Li."

"I know. The young lady that saved my life." Old Mr. Fu replied with a smile on his face.

"You remembered?." Jia Li asked in shock.

"Yes, I do. How could I forget your worried look on your face when I was about passing out?." Old Mr. Fu asked.

"Oh!." Jia Li responded absentmindedly.

She lifted the plate of soup her mother kept for the Old man and picked up a spoon as she tried to feed him.

But could the retired General allow himself to be fed by someone else? He rejected her goodwill.

"Thank you, Miss Jia Li, but I can help myself." Old Mr. Fu said before taking the plate of soup from her.

Initially, she pitied the old man, but now, she didn't. This Old man is quite strong.

When Old Mr. Fu finished eating, Officer Su walked in and introduced himself.

He saluted Old Mr. Fu and addressed him as 'General Fu', but the Old Man waved the greetings.

Officer Su seemed to have something to say, but he didn't want Jia Li and her mother to hear the conversation, so his face looked a bit uncomfortable.

Old Mr. Fu could read facial expressions and body language, but he was not in the least bothered about what Officer Su wanted to say.

"Officer Su, out with what you want to say. This Old man wants to rest."

Officer Su apologized before going ahead to say that he wanted.

..."General we managed to contact your family without exposing your location to the media. they will be here in at least two hours."

"You should have confirmed from me if I wanted them here." The Old man said before laying on the bed with his eyes closed.

Jia Li looked surprised. 'The Old Man didn't want his family to find him?.'

Officer Su apologized to him before leaving, seeing that he didn't want to speak anymore.

Mrs. Qin was worried, thinking that he wasn't on good terms with his family.

But when the mother and daughter pair saw his family and the entrance they made, only then did they understand the reason the Old Man didn't want them there.

Old Mr. Fu dozed off once his head hit the pillow. The drug, the nurse put in his new drip was starting to take effect.

Somewhere in X city, a young man surnamed Fu was sitting in his wide elegant Office space when his phone rang. But there was a beauty sitting in front of him with a smile on her face.

They were discussing where to have their date for the evening when the call came in.

"It's my father." Fu Hua said to the beautiful young woman in front of him.

"Go ahead." The woman said in a calm demeanor. Everything that radiated from her speaks elegance.

Fu Hua answered his father's call. From the beginning to the end of the conversation, no emotion was found on his face.

"Alix, I'm sorry, but our date tonight has to be canceled." Fu Hua said to the woman in front of him.

"Why? Did something happen at home?." Alix Feng asked with worry laced in her tone.

Fu Hua massaged his temples with his fingers as he explained.

"My grandfather went missing two days ago, so we traced his location to the countryside. When he contacted us, he said not to disturb him that he wanted to be by himself, so we let him be. Now, I just learned from my father he was involved in a hit and run accident yesterday, and is currently hospitalized. Now my father wants us to go and bring him back."

Alix Feng looked surprised but not worried as she asked, "Why do you have to go to bring him back?."

"Alix, you know my grandfather, he is stubborn and wouldn't want to come back home. So my father wants Yingpei and I to go with him to bring him back." Fu Hua explained.
