"No, if you continue teasing her, she may end up not talking to you again. You know how shy our daughter is, she will not be able to handle your teasing words." Mr. Qin reminded her.

"Okay, I have heard you, let's continue with the drama." Mrs. Qin said as she gestured to the Tv.

When Jia Li went back to her bedroom, she was blushing. Then she remembered that she didn't exchange contact with Li Huan, so she feels a little sad. But looking at the big picture, she smiled to herself because she was still going to see Li Huan again.

Jia Li picked up her sketchbook and sat on her desk, ready to create something new. There was an assignment given to them to make a dress for the next runway show they would be having in their college ?. 

Jia Li had to take the assignment seriously because something good will come out of it if her dress was chosen. She would start to make a name for herself.

Jia Li spent an entire afternoon and evening, trying to sketch something new and desirable, but she failed. 

When Mrs. Qin walked into her room in the evening, she so many crumpled papers on the floor, and then an annoyed Jia Li, sitting on her desk with a frown.

The next minute, she rolled up the paper and was about flinging it when she met her mother's surprised look.

"Mum!." Jia Li called out and still threw the paper to the floor.

"What is going on here?." Mrs. Qin asked as she picked some of the crumbled papers to take a look.

"I'm trying to create something, but what I penning ?️ down is not what I want." Jia Li explained with a little frustration in her tone.

"But you have a nice drawing here, why would you discard them?." Mrs. Qin asked after glancing at the designs on the papers she picked. 

"Mum, that is not what I want. That is not creativity. If I submit any of those drafts, my design will not be picked, and then I wouldn't be asked to join the competition." Jia Li revealed.

"Come on, calm down and relax. You are not getting the inspiration you need now probably because you are not focused. I think you are very distracted and need to. clear your head before any creativity can come to your head." Mrs. Qin ad iced as she walked up to her and hugged her shoulders.

Jia Li was still in a sitting position, so she hugged her mother's waist with a frown.

"Don't be sad okay? Think about what I said. Maybe you are this way because Li Huan visited and you have a liking to him." Mrs. Qin said in a suggestive tone.

"Mum?!." Jia Li called out as she looked up at her mother after leaving her embrace.

"Jia Li don't look at me that way, you know I'm saying the truth, and this is beyond teasing." Mrs. Qin said in a serious tone and she fixed her gaze on her.

Jia Li was quiet for a while before moving her gaze away from her. She couldn't refute her mother's words because her words were true.

Mrs. Qin sighed as she pulled Jia Li up and dragged her to sit on the foot of her bed.

"Jia Li, talk to me, I am your mother. You always tell me everything and how you feel, and now, you don't talk to me anymore. You know I wouldn't judge you, just tell me your true feelings and as a mother and a counselor, I will advice you." Mrs. Qin said as she took her hand in hers and massaged it.

Jia Li sighed before speaking up. "Mum, I don't know if I like Brother Li Huan and just a mere infatuation, but I know that I certainly do not hate him. Since he visited today, I've been thinking about him."

Mrs. Qin smiled as she spoke in a gentle tone. "Looks like we are about to have a long talk. it's not bad to like someone especially of the opposite sex, at least that shows that you are attracted to them."

"If you like Li Huan, be true to your feelings and don't hide it, because if you continue to hide it, you won't feel at ease, just like now. You are bothered and can not concentrate on your work. This is the first time you confessed that you like somebody, and I am really proud of you. Although these feelings didn't just erupt, it was gradually built for some years."

"So mum, what do I do? I like brother Li Huan, but I don't think he likes me." Jia Li said with a frown.

"How do you know he doesn't like you? When he came today, he had half of his attention on you, and I think he likes you. From your interaction with him, can't you tell his feelings towards you?." Mrs. Qin asked.

"I don't really know. I know he likes me, but I don't know if it's the kind of love a brother has for his sister, or he sees me as a true woman. Brother Li Huan lives in the city, and there are so many women there, what if he has a girlfriend?." Jia Li questioned with a racing heart.

She was afraid that Li Huan had a girlfriend already and then she wouldn't get to express her feelings. She liked Li Huan and would wish to date him if he liked her the same way, and asked her out.

"If Li Huan has a girlfriend already, that could be a problem, you don't want to be a man snatcher, do you?." Mrs. Qin asked with a knowing look on her face.

"A man snatcher? Mum, how could you possibly think of that word? You know I'm not like that." Jia Li refuted with a frown.

"It's okay, I was just saying. We are not sure if Li Huan has a girlfriend already, and there is only one way to find out." Mrs. Qin said in a suggestive tone.

Glancing carefully at her mother, Jia Li asked in a curious tone, "What way?."
