"Say whatever you want. I'm running out of time…" Ji Yanli told Yan Luhan. 

"I …" When it seemed the other party was preparing himself for a long speech, Ji Yanli showed him her palm to stop. 

"2 minutes, then I will leave." She said, without looking him eye to eye. 

"But … " Yan Luhan was dissatisfied because she dared to show him the same attitude again. 

In Ming city, who dared to talk disrespectfully to the young master of the Yan family?!

However, Yan Luhan knew it was useless to get angry at the lady in front of him. Even threatening or pressuring didn't work so in the end, he could only become gentle to persuade her to back out from this marriage. 

"Leave him and come with me. I will take care of everything here. Ji Family's reputation won't be harmed even a bit..." Yan Luhan said eagerly as he stepped ahead and tried to grab her. His face was screaming that he couldn't wait to embrace the woman and leave. 

"Nope." While retreating, Ji Yanli refused right on his face curtly. 

'If I wasn't abroad for a business matter, did you think you could have sneakily come here to wed that stinky man?!' Yan Luhan gritted his teeth. He felt betrayed and cheated. 

The shock he got after returning to the country and finding out about Ji Yanli's wedding was tremendous! He was flustered as to how could Father Ji agree to her marrying an insignificant bastard without any power and family background!

Nonetheless, Yan Luhan retained his anger and gently added.

"Yanli, I know you still love me. Back in high school, you were so fierce when you chased…" Yan Luhan continued to say his mind, not noticing Ji Yanli's face was darkening. 

While he spoke, Ji Yanli watched the clock hanging on the wall from time to time and when 2 minutes passed, impatience appeared on her face.

"Are you done? I am leaving!" Ji Yanli said with impatience as she brushed past him and tried to leave but the man was reluctant to let her go. 

After all, how could he allow her?! If he did that then the woman will forever become someone else and he didn't want to imagine that.

All these years the two people were ignoring each other because of some matters and bad incidents that happened in the past but the stubborn man was still unwilling to let her go.

Suddenly he thought of something and yanked her back. Ji Yanli was very scared because she thought that he had pushed her. Thinking of the little life in her belly, Ji Yanli was scared. At the same time, she tightly covered her belly. She could get injured but her belly must not get any injury!

But the anticipated pain didn't come. Because from behind Yan Luhan hugged her tightly. She regretted her decision. 

"Are you nuts?! Let go!" Ji Yanli struggled but it was to no avail. 

"Even in your dreams, I don't allow you to marry anybody else!" Yan Luhan snorted and dragged Ji Yanli towards the windows. 

Ji Yanli's eyes became dark and dangerous when she saw the incoming helicopter. Instantly she realized what the man intended to do, 'You dared to do this…' Ji Yanli thought mockingly. 

When the helicopter came very close to the building, Sheng Ruming and Wang Haixiao were alarmed. Both of them threw away whatever they were doing and came to see what was wrong. 

Before opening the windows, Yan Luhan whispered beside Ji Yanli's ear righteously, "You forced me to…" 

"Humph! Hypocrite!" A terrible snort from Ji Yanli and the next second, a kick fell on Yan Luhan's foot. 

In pain, Yan Luhan loosened his grip on Ji Yanli and the other person broke away from him. Then she turned around and stepped back hurriedly to keep a great distance between them. 

"Guards!" At Ji Yanli's shout, the bodyguards who were outside broke into the room. 

Because of Xiao Huang's instructions, despite knowing that Yan Luhan was their boss' close friend, they pointed guns at him. Yan Luhan's face darkened as he glared at Ji Yanli.

"Do you have to go so far?" Yan Luhan whispered dangerously. 

Ji Yanli stared eye to eye at the man and then sighed, the urge to provoke him was stronger at that moment, "I have long given up on you so why do you keep pestering me like a dog?! Do you people of Yan family like to become the third wheel in others' relationships? Is it a family custom?!"

Ji Yanli deliberately poked at Yan Luhan's sore spot. After all, his parents' past was an open secret among many people. When he was young, there was no lack of relatives who mocked and disdained him for being a widow's child even though his father was alive…

After deliberately angering the man, Ji Yanli was pleased with herself. Yan Luhan gritted his teeth as he saw the armed bodyguards. He took a deep breath and murmured with pain in his eyes, "Do you like him so much?"

Ji Yanli folded her arms on her chest, unlike the ladylike demeanour she had earlier. She had a mocking expression on her face as she said coldly, "Like? I don't like anyone. In my eyes, only 'perfect match' exists!"

Wang Haixiao, who had rushed here, paused in his steps in shock. Her words were a huge blow to his sincere feelings. 

Yan Luhan clenched his fists and a glint passed by his eyes when he saw Wang Haixiao. Because Ji Yanli was facing the entrance with her back, she didn't know he was there.

A sly smile appeared on Yan Luhan's face as he asked, "So, that stinky man is a 'perfect match' for you? You don't like him…" 

"I don't like men whom I can't control. Chasing you was an impulse of my rebellious phase. So, don't mind it too much and leave, Young Master Yan. I don't welcome you to my wedding. Thanks." Ji Yanli spoke with a straight face and turned around to leave. She didn't want to waste more time with this man. 

The moment she saw Wang Haixiao standing at the door like a statue, Ji Yanli's eyes widened. The next moment, she put on a smile and went ahead. 

"Let's go, Haixiao." Ji Yanli interlocked their fingers and then walked ahead. After giving a glance inside the room and watching the man with an arrogant demeanour, as if to mock him, Wang Haixiao could not control his emotions. 

After they stepped on an empty corridor, Wang Haixiao stopped in his steps and thus, Ji Yanli had to halt too. She turned to him and asked, "What's wrong? Shouldn't we go to the venue? It's already late…"

"Yanli, you don't like me?" Wang Haixiao whispered with sadness. 

"Like?" Ji Yanli chuckled and then went ahead and whispered beside his ears, "I love you, fool."

"Oh, oh?!" But Wang Haixiao wasn't convinced, "You said you don't like men whom you can't control. Am I only..." Wang Haixiao didn't finish as he stared at her with resentful eyes. He seemed to be blaming Ji Yanli for hurting his pride as a man. 

However, Ji Yanli only smirked and whispered again, "I don't like men whom I can't control… I meant in bed…" Next came a gentle bite on his earlobe. Ji Yanli was still as unpredictable as always. 

"..." 

Wang Haixiao saw as she tried to take back her hand but how could he allow it after hearing such a spicy thing?!

At that point, Wang Haixiao didn't care if she loved him or not, he just knew that he did and that was enough, not to say they had their cub on the way. He tightened their interlocked hands and whispered, "It's time, let's go, my… wife." 

"Yes, hubby~" Ji Yanli's two eyes seemed to be smiling. The tiny bit of resentment that Wang Haixiao had left instantly. 

In that empty corridor, Wang Haixiao became unruly and hugged her with his one arm as he kissed her suddenly. 

Ji Yanli's smiling face didn't change as she responded to him as well. Oddly enough, her face blushed which was a rare case. At that moment, she finally looked like a bride who was going to get married. 

Luo Lixi saw this scene from afar and unknown emotions bubbled up in her mind. Sheng Yuexi had already fallen asleep after crying and currently, she was sleeping in Sheng Ruming's embrace. 

The man was beside her, watching the top of her head while holding their precious daughter. Luo Lixi suddenly leaned against Sheng Ruming's shoulder and murmured, "Dear, do you have anything to say to me?"

Sheng Ruming saw the couple in front of him and with deep emotions, he whispered, "Later…" 

A strange silence descended into the place. Luo Lixi closed her eyes and thought, 'I will wait for you... my love…'

Even if they concealed something from each other, they still loved each other to ignore other possible misunderstandings because… despite a thousand issues, they were willing to live together… 

Despite knowing that it was uncertain if the man would confess to her or not, she was still willing to wait for him to open up. The man beside her was the love of her two lifetimes and she would cling to him until the end of time even if thousands of misunderstandings were to come.

Luo Lixi had a rare smile as if she had figured out something. She also hugged him from the front while her baby's little body was beside her head. Sheng Ruming smiled vaguely and hugged the two people tightly. They were his treasures and in his life, he was determined to love and protect them until he turned into ashes.
