All Novel Full Chapter 39 - 39 Raining.
The next day.
From early morning, it had been raining cats and dogs. At 4 am. the rain had started to fall; it showed no sign of stopping. Looking out of the window, the surrounding place looked very vague and fuzzy. There was an artificial bamboo forest near the villa. The bamboo bushes were bending towards the ground due to the pressure of the turmoil air. It seemed as if they might break at any given moment.
Luo Lixi prepared the necessary things the earlier night. She had carefully picked a few sets of dresses to wear in the morning as she wasn't sure which to choose and orderly placed them at a side sofa. She thought she would wear one of them which she deemed the most suitable in the morning or asked Sheng Riming for his opinion. She wanted to walk in the fields while interlocking their palms.
On the early night, she was so excited that she stayed awake till 1 am. She set the alarm clock's timer at five am so that she could wake up earlier to get ready on time.
At five am.
The alarm started to make noise but she was always, habitually turned the alarm off and went back to sleep. The room was dark as the lights of the room were turned off except the haitral table lamps on the little table beside her duvet.
But after some time, she frowned as if she seemed to forget something important. Then, suddenly it registered in her mind that today she was supposed to go out with Sheng Riming for travelling outside. Luo Lixi hastily threw away the bed sheet covering her and sat up on the duvet. Anxiously she focused on the alarm clock and saw it was only 5:10.
"Oh God! Only It's been only ten minutes. I was so scared." She muttered to herself as she stood up and turned on all the lights. She went to the bathroom and freshened up. She was wiping her face with a towel as she walked out of the bathroom and went towards the glass windows to open them.
As she threw the towel at a stool and opened the windows, a burst of fresh air entered the room through the opened windows. Luo Lixi was stunned and then speechless. She looked outside and didn't know what to make out of the current situation. Her cheerful mood turned dejected as she touched the raindrops by the right hand and felt the cold substance.
"Damn it. How can we go outside in such bad weather?!" In a sad mood, she sat down on a chair near the windows and gazed outside. Her plans were all shattered. She was seated on the chair while wearing a red silk nightgown while her hair was a mess.
When it was six am, the nurse entered the room. The door was closed. When she opened it she was a little startled. She searched for the woman if she was in the room when her sight fell on her; sitting on a chair beside the window as she had a forlorn expression hung on her pitiful face.
"Miss, you woke up so early today?" The nurse lightly smiled as she went to open the box of the medicines and then walked up to her. She stood before her and handed her the medicines.
But unlike in the past, Luo Lixi took them without grumbling and gulped down the tablets at one go. She didn't even drink the water.
The nurse was surprised by her odd behaviour. She knew she hated bitter medicines and would always drink a full glass of water after that. Sometimes, she would rat candies. But today, she didn't do any of that as she had an unbothered vibe around her.
"Miss, Are you okay? Is something wrong?" The nurse asked as she noticed her pensive state.
"Nothing." She replied as she shook her head slightly.
"You should drink the water or the bitter taste won't easily go away." She said while passing the warm water glass to her.
Luo Lixi silently took the glass in nonchalant and finished the water in a single breath.
The middle-aged woman didn't say anything as she headed out of the room. While walking out, she saw Sheng Ruming coming out of his room in his pyjamas.
Earlier, when he saw it was raining, he decided to meet with Luo Lixi first before doing anything. He thought she hadn't woken up but when the nurse came out of her room, he knew she was awake.
The nurse greeted him as she went away. There was nothing much for her to do in this villa except taking care of the young woman. She would return to the hospital when they would go abroad.
Sheng Ruming entered the room as he saw her gloomy face. He went to her and encircled her in his arms.
"I'm sorry." He mouthed softly.
Luo Lixi looked up to him when she heard what he said.
"Why are you saying sorry? It's not like it is your fault for raining." She gazed at the dark sky which was brightening as time went by. "I think the sky will become clear in a few hours. Let's not walk today. We'll just travel the area in a car."
"Hmm. Okay. But let the rain become light. We'll head out then."
They didn't say anything while Luo Lixi gazed upon the foggy sky. Sheng Ruming was standing motionless by her side when he suddenly noticed the four pieces of dresses on a sofa.
He went towards them and picked up the pink one. Luo Lixi's sight followed him as she saw him picking a dress among the clothes she prepared.
"I think this is good. You should wear this pink one. It is light and will go well with your skin colour. You can wear a matching shawl with it ." He said as he handed her the dress.
