Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

Even after five minutes he didn't let her go as the kiss became even hotter and longer. He already knew the insides of her mouth like a page in the back of his mind. He began to exploit her mouth with his tongue while sucking on her saliva as if it was sweet like nectar. Her soft moans further encouraged him to deepen the kiss and to make her breathless.

Luo Lixi's face turned scarlet as she opened her eyes and looked at his face. His eyes were closed while all his attention was placed on their passionate kiss. 

After a few minutes, she felt a tingling sensation in her lower abdomen. She didn't know what it was and ignored the feeling. 

Sheng Ruming didn't show her any mercy and made up for the time he had missed her by kissing her more passion.

When Luo Lixi felt so suffocated that she thought she might die, he broke the kiss reluctantly while she took large breaths. He rubbed her swollen lips with his thumb finger. She wanted to scold him for his shameless behaviour when abruptly, he lifted her and wrapped her legs around his waist. 

Afterwards he dived for an even greater aggressive kiss while embracing her soft body tightly as he felt her body curves through the soft fabrics of their dresses. She hooked her arms around his neck to keep her balance.

Luo Lixi was kissed breathless again. When she couldn't take it anymore, she moaned in protest and pulled on his hairs from behind to signal him to stop. Sheng Ruming looked at her threatening gaze and broke the kiss as he looked at her, frowning. 

"What's wrong?"

"it's early morning! Stop fooling around.Also, put me down. What if someone comes now?" She spoke angrily as she looked at him. She was afraid that someone would see their current ambiguous situation and misunderstand the situation. She didn't want that to happen. 

Sheng Ruming sighed as he put her on the floor but didn't let her go. He took the plate of dumplings in one hand and embraced her shoulder by another hand as he walked to the hall room.

He placed the plate on the dining table while  they sat down side by side . Luo Lixi took the plate and started to eat without making any sound. 

After finishing several pieces, her mood improved a little. Thus she decided to give him a piece. She took a big one from the plate and wanted to feed him but was stopped by his hand. 

"What's wrong?" She asked in confusion as she looked at him. Her innocent eyes could move people's hearts but her real motive didn't escape from his sharp mind.

"These all are yours. You don't need to give me. Just eat obediently." He said as he changed her hand direction and fed her instead. 

Her earlier innocent look cracked a little but  she didn't say anything to him. She knew it was futile to say something to him. So, she concentrated her mind in her food and ate them slowly.

At her side, Sheng Ruming observed her pitiful  face and chuckled in his mind. He would help her in getting water or other things from time to time. While she was eating, he broke the news to her.

"Lixi, we'll go abroad in two days. Pack the things you need the most." He said calmly as always but Luo Lixi stopped eating and looked at him.

"I don't have my passport with me. How can I go?"

"Don't worry. I'll take care of it."

She remained silent as she spoke up, "Where?" She asked as she turned to him.

"New York. Your hand...We'll treat your hand first. Lixi, believe me. I'll arrange the best doctor for you." He took her right hand as he told her softly. His words were so full of sincerity that she was moved. He rubbed her hand gently. 

Now, a white bracelet with expensive red rubies was wrapped around her wrist as it shone brightly under the big chandelier on top of their head. When her hand injury was healed, he put that on her hand but didn't tell her the meaning behind it. As for the pearl one...that was thrown away a long time ago.

When Luo Lixi first saw the bracelet, her eyes lit up a little. She liked the bracelets he bought for her and had the urge to buy something for him too, in the future. 

But in the next, her eyes dimmed as she remembered the cut mark and the cause of it.

 Sheng Ruming's happy face turned gloomy. He understood as he patted her back. "Don't think about him. Just relax and take deep breaths. Try to forget those things." 

Even if he knew it was difficult to do, he encouraged her. She nodded slightly as she took in a deep breath and controlled her sad feeling as she closed her eyes. 

When she opened them, those were as clear as water; devoid of any other emotions. 

Sheng Ruming saw it and smiled as he nudged her, "The dumplings are turning cold. Finish them already." 

"Won't you have one?" She asked as she looked at the pieces in the plate in front of her; there was a lot and she knew she couldn't finish all of them. Thus, she wanted to feed him some.

"No. I put a lot of affords in making them for you. You eat them all for me. Come on." He told her as he flashed her a knowing smile. She knew her plan was exposed. So she didn't say anything and finished them all. Sheng Ruming took a tissue and wiped her mouth.

They stood up at the same time and walked to the sofas. She looked quite unhappy as they sat down. 

"What's wrong?" He asked her as he saw her knitted eyebrows. 

"Nothing." She replied unhappily as she felt bloated from eating so much. She shot him a look as she asked in complain, "You still won't give me a phone?!"

"Cough! I think you better not use it. Just watch TV." He replied while showing her an innocent smile and passed her the remote control.
