Chapter 684

Dio’s ability really made people wonder if he was really human! At the same time, the wild spaceship earlier finally landed, and a guy appeared in front of everyone.

“Hi guys!” the man said as he walked towards Dio and the other Avenger. Everyone was familiar with this man as he was the one they had to fight back on the first Chitauri invasion. It was none other than Loki himself! Thor had asked Dio to search for Loki as Loki was thrown out of the Bifrost when Hela invaded Asgard in the past.

“Loki, how are you!” Dio curiously asked as he was surprised to see Loki come back to Earth like this. Nevertheless, everyone else was on guard as they still thought that Loki was their enemy! Furthermore, the Hulk was ready to smash Loki. Hadn’t it been for Natasha, who constantly soothed his anger, the Hulk would have done so.

“Not so well, no! But where is my idiot brother? Isn’t he supposed to be here? don’t tell me that he hasn’t found a way back just yet!” Loki said with a frown on his face. Loki ignored the cold stare that he received from everyone, but even so, Loki still felt a little bit upset as he had already saved them from the first wave of invasion!

Loki wouldn’t land his spaceship on Earth if he didn’t see how scary Dio’s power really was. He wasn’t fond of anyone on Earth anyway! Clearly, Loki still had his ego on the cloud.

“Thor went to Nidavelier to build a new weapon for himself. I guess you haven’t returned to Asgard just yet, right?” Dio asked indifferently. If Loki has returned to Asgard and witnessed that it was already destroyed, it would be like rubbing salt on the wound, but he didn’t care about that! In any case, Loki hasn’t returned to Asgard just yet!

“Why would I do that? I will be captured and imprisoned by my dearest sister if I do so anyway. Not even Thor was an opponent for her!” Loki said frustratedly. It seemed Loki didn’t care about the Throne of Asgard anymore as he just wanted to live freely without care. But Dio’s next word just made Loki question his choice.

“Well, me, Thor, and Hulk already defeated that madwoman, but Thor had to summon Surtur, the Flame Giant, to destroy Asgard to do so. It was a pity because Hela escaped with the Cosmic Cube in the end. By the way, Hela became one of Thanos’ Black Order now.” Dio said indifferently. Loki was trying to process the information he got from Dio right now. Asgard was destroyed? Hela joined the Black Order? Did it mean Thanos already got his hand on the Space Stone?

Loki knew that the Black Order was collecting the Infinity Stone from a long time ago, as his sceptre had the Mind Stone in it.

“Sorry, I hate to interrupt your reunion, but we have to know what you are doing here!” Tony asked as he looked at Loki with a frown on his face. He didn’t have any good memories with Loki, so it’d make sense if he didn’t trust him at all. And Tony wasn’t the only one who felt that way. In fact, the rest of the Avengers felt the same way. They knew that it wasn’t the time to think about stuff like this. They knew as long as Loki was willing to help them, it would be good enough.

“T’challa, how was it?” Dio asked, breaking the awkward atmosphere as he saw T’challa had returned.

“This is terrible! The defence line was completely down, and it would take some time to repair it! But Shuri is fine! It seems the enemy had no intention to harm her beyond necessary. I had already ordered some people to search for that woman’s whereabouts!” T’challa said frustratedly.

“That is enough, but tell your men to be extra cautious as the woman is a really tricky opponent!” Dio said as he turned his attention to Loki once again. Dio sighed as he found Loki had a sad story. He really cared about Asgard, and the one thing that he really wanted was an acknowledgement! Now that Asgard was destroyed, Loki would have a hard time processing the news. Even so, Dio wouldn’t console him as it was Thor’s job as his big brother to do so.

“Loki, until Thor returned, you should help us out here. but I have to remind you that I am not as patient as Thor. If you ever betray me, I will kill you immediately!” Dio said coldly. Loki immediately held his hands up as a sign that he wouldn’t dare to cross Dio at all. He already saw how scary Dio’s power was, and he knew that he wouldn’t be able to escape!

Everyone was shocked that Loki, who was hard to handle, easily complied with Dio’s word! They still felt that they shouldn’t trust Loki, but they were willing to trust that Dio would surely deal with Loki for now.

At this point, they were beggars, and beggars can’t be choosers! It was true that Loki had once helped the enemy’s forces and even played god with Human life, but now, he would be able to help the Earth push the Chitauri back!

Furthermore, Loki had an Asgardian Physique. He would be able to destroy even more Chitauri Army without having to worry about getting hit by them. Surely, Asgardian was hailed as a god on Earth for some reason!

Furthermore, Loki also had some power to control others’ minds, meaning he could be the key to neutralising the Mind Stone’s power. Loki was the Asgardian God of Mischief, and it is normal for him to mess with people’s minds as some sort of prank!

“Did you know about the woman that has the Aether with her?” Dio asked Loki curiously. If by any chance, Loki has some information about the woman in question, it will be very useful as they really had so little information to go on her.

“Unfortunately, I don’t know much about that woman! She is a mysterious person, and very few people knew where she came from and what her real name is!” Loki said indifferently.
